DieguezCreate actually Alex had a relationship with Amy Winehouse prior to her passing away. In an interview he admitted that a portion of the songs on this album were inspired by his time with her and letting go of that love when he found out she passed away.
It took me almost 12 years to remember what this song was called so I could find this video.
I'm glad I did.

My girlfriend sometimes worries that I'm not over my ex. And it's a little true. I end up referring to him whenever I talk about anything from high school. I dated him for over 3 years, and I just can't get him out of my head. Her hair reminds me of running my fingers through his, short and curly. Her voice, soft and sweet and insecure, reminds me of his, loud and brassy, but somehow still afraid. The way we sometimes kiss, rough and strong, reminds me of how his teeth would drag over my lips. Maybe I'm not over him, but I'm trying and I want to be able to be here with her

This song is really underrated
My girlfriend ended up going to a different University as she wanted to do art and I wanted to do Medicine. She wanted to stay and do a smaller course where I was going but I encouraged her to go anyway! I really love her and miss her and can't wait till she comes back! I've just been worrying if the distance between us will tear apart our relationship and she'll gradually forget about me. Luckily i have this song to keep me going through my day!

I love the fact that the vocal talent is raw and yet classic, but unusually paired with a synth/dub backing where, in a more mainstream area of production, a voice like Alex's would often be with a more narural/acoustic type backing. It's off the beaten track, which just makes me love his music even more.

I believe that in this video, Alex has to decide between staying in the car & letting the girl go, (in which the guilt will slowly take him over) or get out and attempt to fix the relationship...and maybe after that he can fix the interior that was just soiled...~
It's an achievement to move our hearts, of course, but it would be nice if more people saw his music, because he;s absolutely brilliant.

Butchering the English language isn't an insult to the language itself, because it can be interpreted differently, and its pronunciation varies due to accent; hence so does the spelling. There is no excuse for wrong or non-existant puncuation, considering the punctuation is clearly marked in white on the keys. People can accurately pass smashing their head on the keyboard as English if they do it properly. Leave people to their own devices and don't be the friendly neighborhood Grammar Nazi.
I love this song and all but that a big waste of water. People got with out water for long periods of times in lots of other places did you really need to flood a car just for a 3 min music video? Someone could use that water for a bath (A homeless person of course) Give it to the less fortunate. Trust me i think alot more people care about surviving then watching you sit in a car wasting water

Using shortcuts such as "ur" and "u" is fine by me. But replacing all S with a Z and literally making shortcuts for all words isn't just ... making shortcuts, that's being plain lazy, and it makes you look slightly unintelligent as well.

Once again, another interesting track. I love the story in this one. He is leaving a girl for another girl and he's saying, "maybe I'll do this one right, or maybe I'm just gonna fuck it up. On the other hand, to say he's "overrated" would be negative. I think you got that mixed up a bit there.
Yes, but often the grammar and spellings are perfectly understandable and correcting them is often used in a 'I can get 1 up on you' sort of way..
I know the only time I ever correct people's spelling is when I'm talking to my American friends who insist on cutting the 'u' out of 'colour'....and I only do that to annoy them :-)
