To search for God in All the details... Today I took my coffee to the window, I thought I would have coffee with a deer. I sat down, looked up, and a large male deer was staring me in the face with his head tilted. We were eye to eye!! My dog who sat next to me, (a herding dog), did not even notice him until I pointed him out. Usually she sees them before I do. The look in his eyes was full of such beauty, it felt like the unexplainable. I love this-To encounter the unexplainable which sends a shock of life-filled energy surging through my body. A moment of engagement and awe. A moment of mutual recognition. I experience that in many encounters. Sometimes in ideas. Or ppl. Or nature. Thank-you for introducing your friend in such a natural way. I seemed to feel a tiny sense of who he was, or maybe merely who he was to you. Unembellished it seemed. Very alive and fresh. And now as I write this I hear an owl outside my window!!! Many thanks.
"...in *all* the details..." because it is everything: every interaction of every thing, every interaction with every person, can reveal something about it, and about oneself, which is after all part of it....
It's funny you should ask that final question, Jeff! In 1999, at the end of a silent Ignition spirituality retreat I was on when I was doing my M.A., while in the bathroom with someone I knew rather casually, we got to chatting and I said that very phrase, "God is in the details," and I was immediately contradicted by my interlocutor, who said, "But don't they say 'the Devil is in the details'?" I said "They may say that; but, try it the other way for a while and see what your results are." I think his mind was blown, because when we got together in the group in the final session before we left a short while later, after the three-day retreat that was otherwise totally silent until just before the bathroom conversation, that statement of God being in the details was what he said was his biggest take-away from the event was. ;) Anyway...I've lived my life that way as much as possible for the last 29 years, to follow what the presocratic philosopher Thales of Miletus--whom many credit as the "father of science/natural philosophy"--is quoted as having said: "Everything is full of Gods."
To see God in all the details: As above, so below. Fractal harmony. We are within the God dream matrix. Thank you for sharing an amazing story of your friend.
I'm sorry but I stopped dreaming on 15.08. I had to. The lion sleeps no more. Now it's your life that is at stake. There's a way to end the nightmare. If you want to know how, just send ''Q'' to presedan1111@gmail.com and I will send it to you.
I thought the Philosophical Research Society (PRS) in Los Angeles is still open.. not just the Holmes Institute / Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL). Regarding Cosmic Laws (It's all nothing, eEverything has a contrary, nature conceals), has there been any progress in this area, either improving or disproving?
oh yes, i used to feel god in the sparkling of tender leaves, ripples on water, dust motes sparkling in the sunlight, and later, in knowing how many of these things work...........your friend had a very rich intellectual life.....it must take enormous luck to be at the right place and time to get all that
What an extraordinary person. I imagine his intelligence would have exceeded any measure. Makes me feel small, I must admit. I know one language, not 25. I know a few plants, not 7,000. But we try, I suppose. I hope you see him again, and I am confident you will.
just had an idea, the Zener cards, what if they were like: elephant, crocodile, kangaroo, giraffe, snake. the fact they are actual real world entities rather than abstract shapes that dont exist in the real world. just a random thought

A beautiful talk and such a wonderful question at the end of it. I just wrote it down, as it's worth meditating on. Thank you!
So very grateful for your work, and the interview with such an amazing man, Dean Brown. ❤

I know everything is a part of the higher consciousness, the positive and negative, male and female and all else.
that would be so nice, must pencil it in!

Ok, Mr. H. Dean Brown played go agasnit Albert Einstein. The question is: how won?
Neither of them were skilled Go players.
