Fun fact: i first played re:CoM in middle school. Got stuck on vexen BOTH times for literal hours because i sucked at video games. Got me frustrated enough that i wanted to wring his scrawny nerdass neck. Then i finally won and watched him die begging for his life. I was not happy with this result as one may have imagined, but instead cried a lot because i felt guilty for his INCREDIBLY grisly death and also bc i was an oversensitive, relatively traumatized kid for whom mortality was a touchy subject. I fucking hated Axel for years and to this day i still have a soft spot for vexen as a character just because i still feel really bad for him after getting exploded. Even though hes a fucking asshole nerd. You can guess how happy i was to see him get his little redemption in kh3
Two things this music makes me think of: 1 - The fight against Axel in Kingdom Hearts II. Good! 2 - The fights against Larxene in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories... ... *FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!*
I could see him being only be able to be damaged by breaking his cards. He’d have ridiculous sleights, and all the enemy cards. It’ll really take all of your knowledge on the game to beat him. He’d make for a great secret boss.
This is better than Larxene's ReMind Data Theme for 2 reasons 1. Drums 2. Doesn't do a long solo before getting back to the iconic part I may be picky but whatever But I want a mashup with the distorted Piano from Larxene, only thing that makes it comparable to this theme besides being "Realistically Orchestrated". My point still stands when Re:CoM is better
(complaints about org members because i just completed re:com) Axel- The first fight is fine, but the 2nd one bullshits you with basically a instadeath slight that he will use on a frequent basis in his second phase. Larxene- She uses a undodgable (save for rng) NORMAL attack card, and her 2nd fight can bullshit you with a incredibly hard to dodge sleight that comes out instantly. Vexen- His fights against sora are probably the best non-Marluxia org fights, but his R/R fight can bullshit you with a completely undodgable sleight that you have to deal with at a lower level. Lexaeus- Way too easy of a fight. Zexion- The real final boss of R/R. Your deck is horrid, his 9's aren't breakable unless you use one of your zeros, he can make your deck worse by taking your cards, his main attack is incredibly hard to dodge with dark mode, and if he gets into his second phase of attack you best pray he didn't steal all of your zeros, otherwise you have to deal with 2 undodgable sleights, his main combo is incredibly hard to dodge completely, and getting him out of second phase is annoying when you only have like 6 cards to your name, most of which probably have lower values then his. The only thing that makes this fight fair is the permanent dark mode+card duels. At least hes not NEARLY as easy as the 2 "final" fights succeeding him.
I disagree on Ansem being easy. He kicked my ass hard during my first playthrough, especially since the PS4 version's 60fps made his attacks faster than intended. He does fall nicely to duels if you're quick, though. Have you played GBA CoM at all?

this song fills me with such unbridled rage. i hate vexen. i hate him. i hate recom. worst hours of my life. didn't even play riku's story. it's been 3 years now and i am still enraged at the thought of this game.

Personally, I found zexion pretty easy, although I was playing on standard, so that might have something to do with it.
