- I played D.va for 20 hours in COMPETITIVE ONLY to better at her and see why people like her so much! This video is the first in a series where I will play every hero for 20 hours to see if I can master them. I aim to apply the idea that any skill can be learned in only 20 hours. Let's see if this also applies to learning heroes in Overwatch 2!

@@RauKnowsOW I agree with the comments, have one counter once the whole team tries to counter you. But the information is helpful and the coaching to help with improvement is awesome as well with the guess. All in all a very great video. Possibly adding edits and stats on the skills for the character you choose as well as the counter characters or skills to look out for from the counter characters? You're doing amazing!
I totally feel the zarya struggle. Anytime I get anything over 5 kill streak zarya(a), symmetra(a), mei(s), echo(s), and reapers(s) start popping up everywhere. Bunny princess keeps her throne though :3
Could be intresting to package two characters into one video. Allowing you to swap when countered, compare their strengths and weaknesses, and compare their playstyles.
I agree and I think this is a more effective way of learning as it keeps the mental healthy + keeps you from falling into the swap after every death trap
Maybe extend it to like 30 hours 15 each

@@RauKnowsOW personally most of the jokes weren't that funny to me, but that's completely subjective and others probably did find them funny. Only other thing I would say is to sound more enticing. You have a very soothing tone to your voice and it works great for shorts, but for lengthier videos I personally want to be drawn in by the content creators passion for their projects. It's probably just a me thing though, and I really don't want to come off as rude. Hope anything I said was helpful lmao. Thanks for asking

Best video I've watched so far! I was a D.va main in OW1, but the play style feels alot different in OW2, leading to some frustrating matches. Great advice!

I find that the best spread for tank is to play 3 characters: one that can poke, one that can dive, one that can brawl and just commit to playing around counters within those 3

i have 50 hours on dva on console, but i recently just switched to pc and i never realized how hard dva actually is on pc and watching this video is helping me a lot with the switch. Been looking for a good informational video on dva

As someone who almost exclusively OTP Dva in OW1 (kinda cheated and had a Winton Duo Partner lol) it can be agonizing!! I rek the enemy team once at the beginning of the match... out comes Mei/Sym/Zarya/Zen and I play around it for all of about 1-2 fights and have to swap, for me when it comes to tanks I feel like she is the most counter swapped tanks like bro... let me have some damn fun!!!
Personally i love movement heros, even ones with a small bit of movement can go a long way. Doomfist, illari, moira, genji, hanzo, reaper, junkrat. I recently started playing dva on the deathmatch ffa castle map(i forget the name) and i was able to get around very easily. Even though her dmg is barely noticeable at a far distance its still annoying to the enemy and will cause them to either focus you or ignore you entirely, which will cause them to either get to close and get blasted to bits by her dmg plus rockets or she will just dive onto your supports when your ignoring her

Just watched this video decided why not play DVa on Havana ended up 52-33-0 I think it was an overall team gap and performance but I hadn’t picked up DVa since OW1 (apart from mystery heros) so I’m proud of myself! (It was a silver match so it’s not that impressive)

Try wrecking ball or orisa next time. They are faster paced heroes you may enjoy.

Unfortunately 10 mins is the min for certain types of ad revenue/algorithm… I did 10 on doom vid and it seemed to do pretty well!
Can u do a series where u start as ball in every match and also mirror the enemy tank if possible but only when u die or to reset

She's very popular character provided you started playing with Dva back in 2016-2017. Remember on 1v1 combat Brigitte wrecks Dva happened to me once in Season 6

That happened to me once, my duo was a main genji and me a dva otp. We play one all day long and reach GM, good times.
As a dva 1 trick, this was really interesting! Any advice on which tank would work when I'm countered? I wanna learn just another one so I can swap, but I have no idea who would be the best lol

Having 1 swap is a great idea! For me Zarya wasn’t an issue it was mainly symm and mei. Idk how mechanical you are but if you have good aim or practice your aim Junker Queen dominates Symm and is solid against mei

And yeah Zarya herself isn't really that big of a problem, but all three counters combined are hell
Most of my hours are on dva, when I first started playing her I watched so many tips and tricks videos. I still do my tiny mess ups but I’m able to take a lot of risks with her

Dva bomb is great for clearing height or point and is also a good ult to get a pick. Dont only use your ult for a remech because in higher ranks your will get punished for trying to get remech kills
You don’t always want to go for remech kills yes. But I do heavily disagree that re-mech loses value. Even the best dvas in the world vouch for remech ult. I do agree clearing point can be valuable but that’s niche and you still should play out life THEN ult to zone

i played dva for about 7 yrs since she came out, i have 500+ hrs and confirm she’s def the best mobile tank ever, i ranked up all the way to top 500 with her.
everything said in this video is so true! If you’re baby dva, just jump and spin ontop of the enemy’s head & trust me, you’ll live lol
Been playing since 2017, and DVA was my first pick, because overwatch was my first PC game. My aim is still horrid, but I felt she’s fairly forgiving in terms of aim.
After six years, I’m still in the bottom cesspool of bronze.
Truly trying to understand what it is about my knowledge gaps that’s caused me to not pull out of bronze.
A lot of the buddies I used to group with no longer play, and solo queuing, trying to utilize the points you’ve suggested here, doesn’t work well down there, because the dive method requires follow up, and heals. Down here, everybody just does their own thing, and are quick to call out DVA for overextending while I’m trying to dive and push supports. Her primary does nothing from distance. I might as well be tossing marshmallows unless I’m right in that booty. Maybe one day I’ll see that pretty silver boarder. 😂

As a t500 player, let me tell you, if they stack you zayra or symm they are doomed. Bc when you get good enough with your off angles, having 2 ppl (trying) beaming at you, while you and your team mates kill another target or the beamers themselves. But i have to clarify something, hihh platinum and mid diamond is a pain in thr ass to play dva, bc uou can get an enemy stack of 3 beans and a briggite and your team cannot capitalize in this so your skill lvl must be on top of that, after diamond is an easy task
Good luck with one tricking doom fist. It can be pretty miserable.

As a tank main & former Rein main, playing Overwatch is just so miserable you just get counter pick every time. Bastion, mei, Reaper. You can't do anything as a tank against them they out dps your dmg and the healers are just gonna out heal your dmg

Honestly if you know they have a Sombra any downtime or right before you make a play spray behind you and around your supports. It’s not something you have to force but it’s a good habit

20h in a hitscan feels like nothing 🥲 you learn so much in other heroes that you become the best in your lobby but try 20h with Ashe (if you never went hitscan before) you feel like uninstalling the game 😅

Around P3 I believe! Went down then back up on doom to p3 then p1 on JQ and today on first day of Orisa hit D5 and got T500! Not a lot of people playing tank this season it’s kinda rough so t500 is diamond rn
I didn’t mention tho because I don’t want the series to focus hardcore on the rank but instead the story/journey/experience
