Big THANKS from Czech Republic. 🤩🙏👌 Very popular car and drivers in Czech rally community❤. Will you have some video with Skoda Felicia Kit Car? Btw I love every yours videos from 90s rally time. Really great jobs guys, thank you! ❤👏👍
1994 Rally Cataluña · NOT a WRC round but a 2L World Cup round (Kitcar championship) but cars of all kinds could sign up · 64 entries including Sainz's Impreza as a #0 car, a few actual 2L World Cup drivers, Makkinen in a Sunny, Loix in an Astra, Trelles and Bertone in 4WD group A cars, some group N cars (AWD and FWD) and a metric ton of Spanish crews of all kinds as it was the longest rally in Spain of 1994 · Among the entries I see 3 Dakar Rally drivers: then-competitor Salvador Servia, UTV privateer Joan Font at age ¿20? in a shitty Peugeot 106 and truck specialist Hans Stacey in a group N Evo. I also see the father of Mikel Azcona (the TCR champion) · Makinen, both factory Ibiza kitcars, Trelles, Loix, Stacey and more than half of the Spaniards retired, mostly due to mechanical problems · In the end, Enrico Bertone (Celica) won by almost 4 minutes over Oriol Gomez (Clio) and Servia (Sunny). Jordi Ventura (non-factory Ibiza) was 4th with Rui Madeira (1st group N) in 5th. The Azcona brothers finished 6th (Jaime, 106 kitcar) and 7th (Javier, Clio group N) with the Skodas 8th (Emil Triner) and 9th (Jindrich Stolfa). The event was quite a disaster for the top entries but no manufacturers went home too sad as it was 5 different ones in the top5 (Gomez' Renault, Servia's Nissan, Ventura's SEAT, Jaime Azcona's Peugeot and Triner's Skoda).
Transverse 4 cylinder/8 valve engine, 1299cc and OHV valve control, making around 105-115 bhp and 117 Nm of torque. Doesn't sound like much at first glance, but put that in a car with a kerb weight of 750 kg and it does better than you'd think! At first I think it only used a 5-speed gearbox but was quickly replaced with a 6-speed gearbox with spur toothing. It's also one of my favorite cars to drive in RSF RBR haha
