@@SlimKim3 No no the dislike isnt directed at the actors but the writers, directors, and the head for letting the writers and directors butcher things into a disjointed mess. Finn, Phasma, and Poe are the three characters they really screwed up. One accomplished nothing while the other two were sacrificed to build other characters. Heck Poe even had his droid taken. Finn of course was the worst actually going devolving in TLJ from a force sensitive former stormtrooper to someone who piggybacks while screaming Rey all the time. Can't say I blame him. I mean who the fuck would want to return to a trash company like Disney/Kennedyfilm to portray such a boring and worthless character?
When you sign a contract for what could potentially be some of the greatest blockbusters in a continuation of one of the greatest film franchises of all time, then yeah, no, I don't think he did these movies just for the money. He seemed genuinely excited when promoting TFA. Then TLJ came and I didn't see him so excited anymore. (Not surprising considering how they massacred his character in that film.) By Rise of Skywalker he just looked dead inside.
I couldn’t help but notice he says “incredible artists, actors, prop makers, set designers” and omits directors & writers- usually actors would talk about them long before they get to the “prop makers & set designers” LOL No offense to either of those groups- the sets & props are probably the best part of Disney SW trilogy
Yet he was STILL one of the better characters in those wretched abominations Disney dares to call a sequel trilogy. Says a lot about how bad they were.
The thing is, he somehow made me like poe even though every line he had was dumb. Somehow, he was so good with communicating charisma that I still liked his character anyway. He did an amazing job, and actually was able to make something out of garbage.

Seriously, they had two great characters to tell a new story: Finn and Poe and they chose to stick with the same old skywalker-like character. Finn and Poe did nothing substantial in this trilogy and they could have done much more.
Well. Rey also technically had an interesting backstory and in TFA she had the thing of "powerful in the Force but doesn't want to be" (that could've been interesting if they'd actually stuck with that, which they didn't). Plus, she wasn't so all-powerful, she did get kidnapped by Kylo Ren. So she had tons of good potential too. They didn't need to make her a Skywalker or related to anyone. Then in TLJ they went full-on Mary Sue with her and erased a lot of what made her interesting in the first place. So disappointing.
@@BadWolfSilence rey was not an interesting character at all. She made the trilogy uninteresting and boring. I don't see where they could have bettered her character, they could only do things different. She definitely should have been supporting cast character. Poe, Finn, and Kylo should have been co leads with Kylo being the main. Kylo is the only character out of that trilogy that holds any water with the OG's.But that's not to say Poe and Finn didn't have potential to be some of the best star wars characters too. They did and it was glaringly obvious. They spent too much time trying to tear down(understatement) what lucas built to introduce a new story that also still feels reminiscent of what lucas built. Star Wars gets its power from archetypal story telling, not from throwing out a level 100 Mary Sue and having her defeat the already dead villain from the last two trilogies again.

Sad but also hysterical to know that even they feel the same way so many of us do. Gives me some hope that Disney sees that even their own actors know they're trash and try to change course.

Plus it makes Poe kind of irrelevant, he could have filled in that gap if they hadn't done that weird fakeout death for him in TFA (which they shouldn't have). Characters and by proxy the story are made more interesting when they have different skills from each other that are used at different points in the plot. If the heroes would be otherwise screwed without the skills of that one character, that makes them a good character who makes the story more clever and isn't just replaceable baggage, which is what Finn and Poe became because Rey was the one who could just do everything on her own. It sucked!
Looking forward to Dune, and can't wait for Metal Gear Solid (he's been my fan cast Snake for a while), but I'd honestly love to see him come back to Star Wars in a few years. At least util the civil war is finished and Favreau and Filoni come out on top. Even Kevin Feige is chipping in with a movie, that will probably better than any of the sequels (not that its hard).
Frankly out of every movie I’ve seen him in he’s knocked it outta the park, Duke Leto easily had one of the best performances of any character I’ve seen, and Poe was and still is one of (in my opinion) the coolest characters in Star Wars.
That's a realist right there, who doesn't mind saying the quiet part out loud. I also notice when he mentioned the people he enjoyed the challenge of working with, he failed to mention the writers.

Well his "somehow Palpatine returned" line made him look super dead inside xD but he is an actor, his job is to act, he will do his duty as best he can regardless of how dead inside he feels lololol Adam Driver is just a gem. I feel bad for Daisy Ridley and John Boyega too. They're both also good actors and good people that got screwed over by this stupid cesspool of filth aka the "sequel trilogy."
I love how your videos are just the clip and not someone talking nonsense for their famous UA-camr wet dream (plus shotouts) in adition to the video. Keep up the good job sir.
Isaac and Boyega, they've been talking a lot about how much they disliked being in Star Wars, but none of them has had the courage to point the finger at Kathleen Kennedy so far. If they are offered the right amount, these two return kissing KK's hands.
I mean only an idiot would say no when offered the amounts they were paid. Remember ultimately they're actors who have no obligation to like star wars just because they were in it.
you get it backward...they've already been kicked out that why they speak shit, the figthing was done during the shooting....now that the contracts are over those 'tardies are speaking out (anything not covered in the contracts....thats why they probably wont say directly people name for 10-15 years, whatever was in the contract)

I remember an interview with Daisy, and she did not exactly know about some jedi rules ... (like no love, meditation etc) They chose actors that did not know anything about star wars, same for writers, and we know the result
technically jedi could feel love and the other emotions.... there were jedi who even got married the issue ends up being if your emotions control you. if i remember right in the official novelization of episode 3 it is revealed that the jedi council knew about anakin and padme but allowed it because anakin had suffered so much and padme made him happy
actually john boyega i know for sure was a huge sw fan and adam was a fan too, oscar was too, his uncle being a huge fan and oscar got him as a cameo in the movie, you dont have to be a fan of a movie to act well, they all acted amazingly as we can see their talents in other movies and series, theyre the casualty of poor writing, you cant judge daisy not being a sw fan and assume its all the rest

ah, damn it. Daisy Ridley said she would come back if John and Oscar did too, and John Boyega said that he would if Daisy and Oscar returned, but this sorta fucks that
There probably isnt going to be more movies following that Storyline to be honest. Seems like Disney has gone all in with the storylines set down from Clone Wars, into Rebels, and now into The Mandalorian. Even the new sequel films are being tied in to that storyline. Since the Sequel Trilogy was set decades after the Battle of Endor (to match the OT actors' age) the new movies / shows have decades of in-universe time to explore the events surrounding heroes and villains of the Mando Timeline. Basically, I don't think any of those 3 will be offered roles for Star Wars again (*possibly* Oscar in his role as Poe), since their characters are now cemented in a timeline that we likely won't return to for the foreseeable future.
almost no one like those... its only the media telling people : oh wow everyone loved it. you have the drones of our society that will insist that they loved it because the tv told them so...but see 3 weeks after they wouldnt remember having seen it
Star wars episode 8 and 9 were sci-fi movies/cinema spectacles, but not really star wars movies. I did enjoy the force awakens quite a lot, mostly due to the nostalgia factor but I also think it did bring potential for interesting storylines but it wasn't capitalized on in later movies
I remember the beginning of Force awakens with the village was amazing i remember thinking "This is awesome Poe is gonna help this Storm trooper become a Jedi and they are gonna be like Han and Luke." But I ate those words the moment they went on sand planet 2 😭😭 Poe and Finn should of been the main characters even if neither became a Jedi.
Imagine championing for your character to be gay for 5 years and then have the writer cram an ex girlfriend in for him who does nothing at all for the entire plot of the film
First his character would have died if not for JJ doing him a favor. Then he wants to act like a baby because Disney wouldn't give him his gay ship? The guy was trying to make history, which would have vastly improved his portfolio. Why not ask to be gay in Dune?

Rey was a great choice for a main character, they screwed her over too. She had a lot of potential.
@@BadWolfSilence low key. I feel like she should have been a side character then later on find out she’s force sensitive

I loved him so much as Poe. It would have been great if he actually had something to act in and work with. All of the characters had so much potential and I wouldn't mind íf sometime in the future some talented writer would explore them further. Hopefully in an alternative timeline. ;) But it is great that he has now time to work on other films.
Cant blame him they went from STARWARS to Star Wars there’s no passion left from George’s grand plan.
Hes so much happier and enthusiastic working with marvel it's crazy. He actually seems to really like the character is Steven vs poe was almost just a paycheck
He is an unbelievable actor to be fair. He was never the problem with Star Wars. It was the Writing and Directing. 🤷♂️
Writing and directing were awaful but I don't think he's a good actor either. Not as bad as Daisy Ridley of course.
@@JarJarAbrams nah man u haven't watched moon knight 😂
@@nevergonnagiveyouupnevergonnal I wish I didn't
@@JarJarAbrams why it was that bad?
Opinion :it was carried by Oscar Isaac lol
TFA left a lot of interesting things to speculate. I wanted to know what was gonna happen next, to see where all these awesome new characters are gonna go as I liked all of them.
All the actors on it looked like they were having fun. Oh but what came to follow.
Thank God he's the Moon Knight now. Beautiful performance, stay healthy Mr.Issac
Kudos to him being an artist . The dude has real talent that would be utterly wasted on star wars, marvel, and dc movies.
Inside Llewyn Davis is one of the most profound performances to date.
Not different from the comments Harrison Ford himself made after the Original Trilogy ended (or even after the first SW movie TBH).
EL OH EL!!! So true...I think the whole cast is salty tho
One only has to look at the fact Ford was immediately working in other roles and movies during the OT. He knew what Star Wars was in regards to his career and didn't sugar coat it.
I love Oscar, he doesnt deserve to be discredited for being given a bad script in Star Wars
He deserves better and MoonKnight proves it
