BIG MISTAKE by then Jets owner Leon Hess firing Pete Carroll not to mention the fact his replacement Richie Kotite who just got bounced in Philadelphia after their monumental second-half collapse after starting 7-2 before finishing the '94 campaign with seven straight losses. Not to mention losing three offensive linemen and WR Rob Moore to free agency to the Arizona Cardinals was a huge loss. The Jets blowing that 24-6 lead to the Dolphins where they came back and won 28-24 when Dan Marino fake spiked the game-winning touchdown pass to Mark Ingram which that heartbreaking loss no doubt change the course of the franchise as they would finish the '94 campaign with a five-game losing streak. In fact from week 13 of their heartbreaking loss to the Dolphins the Jets would go on to lose 33 out of their next 37 games (4-33 to be exact) which would culminate in a 1-15 record the worst in franchise history which lead them to bring in 2X Super Bowl Champion of the Giants and coach of the AFC Champion New England Patriots Bill Parcells within two years took the Jets to the AFC Championship in 1998. Prior to Parcells arrival in 1997, the Jets made the playoff only since 1986.
20:40 That would have to wait 2 years by hiring Rich Kotite who just crashed to 7-9 in 1994……and wouldn’t even be able to win 7 games in both 1995 and 1996. He’d only win 4 games.
The best part of these yearbooks is that they would try to convince you that the team is going to be one of the greatest of all time the next season.......made in better in this case knowing that 1996 is just around the corner. lmao
@@SnoopyReads this would be a typical line you would here in an nfl films video " the jets may have only won 1 game in 1995 but that 1 victory put the rest of the league on notice there will many more wins to come in 1996 "
“I’m not a genius I don’t have all the answers” kotite just perfectly described his time as the jets head coach
A harbinger of doom for sure
He was the least inspiring guy I’ve ever seen
That, plus his quote of "I was not fired....I'm not quitting." You weren't welcome back, just call it what it I'd, rich
10:46 Mo Lewis, the man who jump started the Patriots' dynasty
this is when football was great
Ok, Mr Fauxstalgia guy.
This was a change in attitude, a change filled with losing
The New York Jets shouldn't have fire Pete Carroll during his first year as the head coach in the 1994 NFL season
Mo Lewis is the man who made Tom Brady.
The biggest mistake the Jets ever made was not paying Johnny Johnson.. he was one of the best to ever do it 🏈

Yeah…..
And look how well Pete Carroll did in Seattle. Had they kept Carroll he could’ve really taken them far.
Kyle Brady never was a top tight end in the nfl.
I hear you. Definitely not a playmaker. Above average blocker, but run of the mill receiver at best. Overall he was adequate.
With jags?
@@JoeDMurphy like alge crumpler
Funny thing is you guys wanted Warren Sapp but got another tight end
if johnny mitchell wasnt such a head case jets never would of drafted him. mitchell could of been great

A change in attitude but still the same old Jets.
rich kotite a coaching legend 🤣
nfl films could make an 0-16 team look like they won the super bowl 🤣
Kyle Brady best te to be drafted in the 90s 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

1995 is going to be the Jets' year, I can just feel it!
