I am super late to this but just want to say you GET IT. Such an empathy that is refreshing to watch. Your reaction even helped me see new meanings in this song I love. Rock on man!
This is the 'sequel' to a previous song, Panic Attack. You really really need to see it, the live version, just him and a piano.
Think that one is live at the future festival
“Night club toilet, you peed on the seat
'Cause you don't know how it feels when your mom's gotta clean shit
And her boss treats her like she don't even mean shit”
Line Gets me every time, its a deep one
Great reaction. , this hits hard even if you haven’t been through those struggles. Dave is truly amazing with his words. A real poet and storyteller.
The empathy you display is the main reason I've returned! Dave is a wordsmith and I'm enjoying you unravelling his art ... respect 🔥
Dave just hits different to most other artists, never mind rappers. Hard to believe a 23 year old can have such insight.
Great reaction dude very thoughtful and caught 95% of the bars - hats off. Dave is an S tier rapper!!
Dave is music you can really listen to.
Great breakdown mate. You are unmatched. Just got a great personality. That's why so many people enjoy your channel
Dave is genuinely a genius
Some people just don't understand unfortunately.... Yes i have a roof over my head which is mine I own it but with that comes great responsibility I regularly give shopping to the food bank over here and nothing gives me that feeling of satisfaction knowing someone Will be eating a good enough meal instead of going hungry, I listen to Devlin community outcast whilst doing it
Not sure If youve already done it but Dave - Lesley is some of his most powerful work
Dave is a true story teller...
Please react to dave - psycho... or Black (live at the brits version, Extra verse) I promise you will not be disappointed.
This song is a masterpiece, Honest in depth reaction - thank you 🙏🏽
Amazing reacting bro 🔥💯
You are right this cat is something else bro
Another top reaction mate, Love Dave he's incredible.
Best in the world my man... Your reactions are always real ✌️
Great reaction. Think you would enjoy the TV series Top Boy. Explains a lot of this lifestyle and shows off the acting skills of a few well known artists in this scene; Kano and Dave to name a couple.
Love that show. I need to finish it.
@@TheEclecticBeard You seen peaky blinders?
16:26 this was me the first time as well
You should do Both Sides of a Smile, and Survivor’s Guilt, if you haven’t already.💙🏴
Criss then rah, turn Chris Benoit....
Unreal how he expresses himself.... chills x
Yo great reaction bro 💯🙏🏾👊🏾 Dave Is another level
Top reaction sir, Salute
More Dave! Dave - Psycho
To me Dave has the potential to be the Bob Dylan of the UK grime/hip-hop scene. He is such a wordsmith, and his lyrics have depth and genuine meaning. He’s a poet in the same sense that the likes of Dylan and Leonard Cohen are considered poets almost before they are considered musicians.
I can totally relate to 90% of what he raps
You need to check out Avelino - Cassius Clay (Official Video) ft. Dave
👊👍
I know it’s a bit old now but check out
Ghetts Mad about bars
Ghetts Fire in the desert 3
I've reacted to his Fire in the desert
Luv Yer. Check out Smith and Jones "Head to Head". They are all brilliant and I don't think you will blocked on UA-cam. Billy D
You said who can rap and turn it into a TV series or movie, can I suggest you watch rapmans shiros story
Omg. That was so good.
Hello there
2nd😋
Master kenobi?
Sorry Man , this is the only thing I have seen on your reaction I could not get to the end .....
Dislike rap , alll it seems to be is " oh dear look how bad my life is " . welll change the fooker !!
I had nothing , abusive father , that does NOT define me or what I become .. It seeems that a lot of people blame others for thier own short falls . take charge ! you can be what you want to be !
He talks about struggles but also about waiting instead of rushing to get what you want in life so you don't put yourself in compromised positions and how the life that is glorified in that way isn't what it seems that you can make your own success. As a side note, multiple studies have been done in the last 30 years that have found that for those born into poverty, over 80% never make it out of the situation their born into whether through lack of funds, lack of opportunity or overriding societal and political factors. So not everyone has the ability or opportunity to just "change the fooker" as you put it. If you listened to rap, especially rap that speaks on societal issues with an open mind you'd hear a ton more than woe is me.
@@TheEclecticBeard Hi , Ok .. Not sure about studies, to be me there seems to be an underlying theme with rap.. Oh, wo is me .. it took me very many years to get to a plce in my head were I am good , I joined the military for 24 years and it changed my mind set.. the only person stopping you is you !
I am sure it is trying to get a deeper meaning across, but I am unable to listen long enoguh to get it .. I have been brain washed by the military , and I am still like it many years after I have left ...
I get where your coming from. For the longest time I wouldn't listen to rap and had much of the same mindset (more through upbringing than military which I also served in and gave me the opportunity to talk to some folks from hard scrabble beginnings). It took me a while to talk to folks, meet folks, and read about people's experiences. There's so many folks over here that were only able to get out of those situations due to something like the military. Which, not available to everyone unfortunately whether from a poor decision at a young age, or through whittling down of recruitment and quotas needed. There's a ton of folks that have come out from abject poverty but so many, that are never able to get out but want that better life. And it doesn't help that the lifestyle is glorified in media and yet at the same time vilified. Over here so many people, are like well if it's a bad spot just move. But that takes money and when industry has left, the opportunities are slim, which often leads to many turning to what they can to survive, which feeds the cycle. Over here policies in a lot of places compound the problems and lead to many getting institutionalized and have essentially enslaved generations of people. I didn't have shit coming up but I was nowhere close to as poor or in ever in some of the situations that make folks lives a struggle of survival, much less just a paycheck to paycheck type thing. Everyone has opportunity. Unfortunately not everyone has the same types of opportunities.
@@TheEclecticBeard You are correct , I think that what is avilible in one Counrty is not the same in another .. The military over here is not a way of getting out of situations , but belief we are doing something for our Counrty.
Mind set and the way we look at life is very different also .. it's just that certain music affects me differently... eg To me Rock = power , reggae = mellow... I just find the beat and talking irritating , so I never get the message , as I cannot listen to the end..
Stay safe !
Like your correlations with music. Definitely agree with those. I get ya on it, not everyone's cup of tea.
