People are able to play souls games blindfolded and using a guitar hero controller and beat them, it's not that farfetched to say a platformer would be easy in these modern days
Honestly i love this video cuz its the closed we've gotten to Caddy revisiting his old formula: helpful commentary and funny jokes! And its the best of both worlds with the second half being about the challenge that's the focus of the trendy video title. I still love his stuff regardless just it's nice to have the focus on one game rather than be jerked about from game to game sometimes haha
Yeeeah~ I actually have this game, and I 100% agree with Caddy: this game SUCKS when you try to 100% it. Thankfully for me, I just want the costumes, and they're kind of easy to get. It is still a fun game though.
I recently saw that the PC version has a mod addressing the "game structure" issues: N.Verted levels? Gone! Gems for Wumpa or Low Deaths? Gone! Boxes that are unfairly hidden behind stuff you can't possibly see? Majorly reduced! That one level with both Dingodile and Tawna? Split in two! 106% ending? Nerfed to 104%, meaning you only need Sapphire Relics and no Perfect Relics! There's some other changes, but you get the idea. Me though, I have it on PS4, so I'm stuck with the padding... though I don't particularly care. Sure, the game would be stronger without it, but because the game is just _that fun_ inherently, I'm not too put off by replaying it for a single 106% completion. Plus the fact that everyone (rightly) regards it as so brutal makes my completion all the sweeter. A patch I DO get to benefit from though, is the bear controls. The issue was that it had to be _Crash_ hitting the boxes to break them, and he flops around like a fish when you turn. _Now_ though, the bear himself will do the job. ... Of course I completed the game _before_ that patch happened, but still, nice thing when I come back to the game for another go.
As someone who has completed this gameultiple times i agree with almost everything caddy says, with few exceptions. The things i would change are removing the death relics, removing the death gems, and making the triple spin instead a standard run move. That alone would cut down the padding by 90% and make the game way more fun to complete. The main things i disagree with is him suggesting to use the dpad, as i find the stick far more accurate and better to use. I also didn't have any of those glitches at all
I agree with you on all of those; I do wish personally though that the triple spin was separate and we do have the speedy shoes. For I feel it would make it easier by a small margin with the Purple Relics. And that the triple spin mechanic that I do enjoy but love truthfully the slide spin for the speed; the rhythm for triple spin would be difficult but the training is needed and sometimes it varies. More recommended that you wait until the near end of a spin to do it again for the triple spin. The Platinum Relics would be alright if do those adjustments. I did have the unlucky moments of various glitches; for a few people that they might be more comfortable for the d-pad and truthfully, the d-pad is more better for a slower playthrough and not the time trials at all. If somehow they are afraid that it will still 'easy', I say they could keep the Death Gems but increase it to 5 or 6. Especially for how truthfully many people would die. And allow people to get the costumes without needing the death gem to let getting the six gems get a secret ending.
To me the purple dev relics are completely unfair and biased because they are the developers of course they can complete a level significantly better than the players because they literally designed the levels which imo gives them an unfair advantage
You say that yet that isn't always the case I mean the actual souls games themselves that the Devs and Miyazaki the creator struggles with and they designed all the bosses and their movesets

I can tell you that this game is amazing and in my opinion is the crash game I had the most fun with and I think is the most fun and the soundtrack is underrated as heck and even with the annoying completing requirements I still love this game so much
I loved Dingodile in this game. I’m just disappointed his, and the other’s levels were pretty short. Like keep the parts where they do the thing that makes Crash confused, but continue the level with the character you’re playing as
