I would never have thought Excel would be stressed so much, but it makes sense as I use it for everything in my IT world. Really appreciate you making these videos, I think my daughter will be better prepared because of them. We have told her many times, "this is going to be a barn burner". :)

Why am I as an FYE dropout watching this? Also I had the complete opposite with SCLA 101, crazy to see how different professors can completely make or break a course
Lmao we had pretty different FYE experiences. I knew I wanted to go into ME since 8th grade, and I am not actually looking to work for an engineering firm, so FYE seemed like such a large waste of time for me. I'm glad I'm finally in my major though, I'm so excited to be taking strictly ME specific courses.
Your videos actually give me some help in term of researching schools. Could help mefigure out what the differences and common points among Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Computer science? In fact, just from the name, I cannot find some distinct diferences between them but the diferences may be important for me during application. Maybe you can do a new video for this question, or just reply me. Thanks!!!!! By the way, your reflection is excellent!

It seems like you already knew which major you were going to select, but how well do you think the FYE program helps students select which major is right for them?
During the first semester of FYE, the ENGR 131 classes actually make students sign up for engineering info sessions from the different schools. We were supposed to attend those and sort of note the different disciplines in the College of Engineering. There was also a required number of events that we had to attend along with seeing a discipline from a different subgroup (like ece, me, and aae would be in a subgroup and biomed, chem, and agro would be in another subgroup).
So in terms of the FYE program helping students, I’d say it did a great job for the students who were undecided and also solidified those who already knew which major they were going to pursue.
I got into purdue applied math honors. Im from india and i havent heard good things about purdue math. Do you think going to purdue will be a good choice? Im not afraid of the rigorous curriculum tho. But i just dont wanna have a bad experience with profs and classes, given the money ill have to pay for an education at purdue.

I have a microsoft surface pro, which works fine so far with coding, but definitely slows down and graphics get pixelated when it comes to CAD or Fusion 360

I believe it’s in the Polytechnic Institute, and I think it’s called Computer and Information Technology.
Is Cybersecurity Data Sciences or Computer and Information Technology a better program at Perdue ?

I did have to use an iClicker for my lectures and it seems like all of the science courses require one (chem, physics, and cs).

The course makes you use gcc, if I remember correctly.

@@leticiacervantes8855 Surface won't cut it. Go for at least 8 GB RAM, i7 8th Gen. If it is a touch screen one, it's a big effort saver.
