Thank you for your tips Dimitri! isn't the patch going to stick also to the inner part of the strut, opposite to the hole? I usually put a little piece of clear plastic inside the strut before I apply the patch. That piece of plastic will then stick to the patch through the hole. Cheers! :-) Luca
Yes it might stick to the inner part of the strut, but most of the time when you pump the bladder it will release. Or if you don't feel confortable you can always put a clear plastic or paper on the wall so the patch won't stick to the inner wall.
Nice video as always. But... that kind of hole only happens if the Dacron is broken and the bladder pops. In this case if you don't fix the Dacron, the bladder will pop again. Or the hole was done on purpose, in this case it would be better to say it in the video 😉
Not necessarily. It all depends of the construction of the kite 😏👍. In this case there was a very small hole that went through the dacron and pierced the bladder. So the bladder exploded and left a small hole like what you see but we use very strong material for our EPICKITES so nothing happened to the Dacron.

Plus struts don’t have too much pressure compared to the leading edge so they won’t explode as hard as a Leading Edge
I thought it might be an issue with the patch sticking to the other side of the bladder apparently not
