i know alot of players choose the pavillion but age2 with toshugu shrine gives 200 export and boosts shrine gather rate with 50%. If you're playing japan properly, it's hard not to choose that wonder first. Cheers!
That was exponentially better than the last game with japan, congrats! A few misc. bits of advice though: 1) age up with the large shrine, not the xp booster. 2) Upgrades only make sense in terms of resources when: 10 vils on food (1st food), 13 vils (2nd food) 16 vils on coin (1st coin) 20 vils on coin (2nd coin) 30 vil eco (first general) 3)You will be able to make much more units if you have a specialized eco. 4)Don't send unit cards unless you're rushed, eco cards let you make more units
Well, you have 5 ash, 3 sam?, and 5 or 6 yumi which you can all send twice.. Not to mention that because of your berry orchards you shouldn't need to have villagers that far from your tc (no herding and the such). As for shrines, it pins his army down and allows you to know what/how much he has if he attacks them so you should be fine. (Even though China if played right is very strong).
excellent advice! a quick q- I like the xp for the barracks, should I forgo that? I mean, 600 wood is supposed to be the first card. yeah, i guess that makes sense...
well if you have 1 Asian homecity over level 100 then any more you make are at lv. 100.. So thats how! (Thats for online, i dont think single player works like that!)
Possibly against an Ottoman? But only if they rush.. TBH, i'm not sure what would make me go pavilion. But, if you find pavilion to work for yah, go for it!
yeah, exactly, you dont need the rickshaw when youre already going to use 600 w. i guess if youre afraid of early pressure getting up a production building faster is good, but if you want larger eco first theres no need. and also if by any chance you didnt know already, the large shrine gives a gather boost to your other shrines
The 2 berry bush card is so powerful I'm surprised I don't see it more often in people's decks. I find myself floating 3k food while wood and gold are lagging even though I can't move villagers off berries fast enough.
Hey, i was wondering if i could get your advice. Im currently playing as japan and my friend plays chinese. I normally beat him, but he always manages to get pressure on me with steppe riders and chu ko nu's and i was wondering what units and cards should i use? I always do the heavenly kumi card first and use the port. allies in the consulate. Any tips would be helpful :) btw keep the great material coming !!!!
also do you think that the golden pavillion is a viable wonder? if so/ or not which one would be the best? Cause i have done some research and it would seem that the golden pavillion gives a really good edge in colonial age
I use Shrine Wagon carts to build up my shrine econ, and the x2 (age 1) and x4 (age 2) for a total of 12 shrines is enough. Heavenly Kami is awesome, but i actually don't use it that much. Anyway, I just keep my econ balanced and send some troops via shipments to keep my early army strong until I can pump out Ashigaru. Compared to how I usually do, your army build-up is pretty slow.
Haha yeah that is definetly a good choice that i normally go for if i can boom, but for rushes maybe the pavillion would be better if i expect more pressure?
This is a great game , but your starting looks like a BOOM strategy, and in fact you chose to rush your opponents . this will be effective when you face a skilled player
soon! I've been thinking about starting it up in the near future.
my pleasure!
you're getting better at this! Great commentary. really nice to see you take such a risk with the military

thanks for the heads up!
Ah. I didn't focus on civs much back around then when playing; I will now.
thanks alot buddy!
thank you!
thank you! I'll remember that!
Thank you good sir!
love that Japan strategy :-)
I love how you pronounce everything. :P
thanks alot!!
Much better! Glad your finding a good strategy :)

In general yah! :) If he is amssing the cho/step army I'd recommend naginata riders also :P

thanks a lot man! :D
Best strategy I've seen for the japanese! Very nice!

You literally pronounced everything wrong lol.
Decent strat.

REACH COLONIAL-AGE WITH TOSHOGU SHRINE.
ITS WAY BETTER FOR ECONOMY.
Rlly good job!
wait, so shrines produce food, gold and wood and shit, thats awesome :D

Thank you! I didn't create it btw, just execute it!

Why I can't pick Heavenly Kami? It's locked but doesn't say what requirements it has.
yessir!

"Daimo" xD
why were the herds so large?
It's Die-Me-Yo.
Yeah good call :P
Okay cheers :) So unit wise just stick to ash and yumi
how u start with 2 cherry fields?
+BasSMastEr619 Because Great Plains is a map full of bison, it would be unfair for the japanese to have this disadvantage. So it is map-based.
how did you make a lvl 100 home city? :L
when is next civ 5
Japan is unbeatable with all 4 Dynamo+Shogun and Cavalary... you will rush everyone without let him a chance
OMG, you can't use daimyo's aura well after all
11:25 why doesn't he go bayonette on those cannons xp
Por que as construções dele dia mais baratas que a minha ?pra mudar de era eu tenho que ter 800 alimento ele só 680

Isn't food market upgrade for HUNTED food ?
+Cracked LUNAR Not for japanese because they can't hunt
Btw daimyo is pronounced Dime-yo
Those japanese names really makes one cringes. Hope he learns them by the future.
It is a hard K so is like Kaw then me
You're skilled but your strategy is deeply flawed & you do not take advantage & many powerful options
Worst strategy i've seen with japan.
Make a better video and we'll sub you instead. That, or don't talk shit.
sorry
SkyLord LAB And you're its little bitch apparently.
+Rian Drake indeed he could do a lot better
I think we've all moved on from this now.
realy bad strategy with japan lucky another player is noob :p
thank you!
