Happy to hear that you have stopped drinking coffee. Anyone should know, if one is addicted to something, e.g. coffee, or smoking, or drug, then it is a sign of sickness.

"Pronounce the word with me to make an impression on your mind, you can remember it better that way !"
Impression can literally mean "to make an impression upon your senses of sight and hearing: an alteration, a change, an improvement in your memory."
I actually say to myself: "I'm going to say these words aloud, to make an IMPRINT on my consciousness."
I know that seems strange, an odd way of putting it, however by speaking the words aloud, I am storing information in different areas.
Firstly, I simply listen to Nastya and write the words as she speaks, I don't look up much as I am busy writing. Seeing my own writing on the page makes an impression on my mind - the action of hearing the words and then writing them and then the sight of each finished word on paper.
At the end of the video, I return to the beginning and watch the lesson and this time I repeat the words aloud.
I get a different feeling for the lesson when I watch it the second time. Both viewings are useful and practical.
I feel that I am learning in a different way each time: by hearing, by writing, by seeing, by speaking.
Thank you so much Nastya :)

It seems to me that a better translation of ити is to use the continuous tense in English (going/walking) rather than the present simple go. Isn’t ходить more like the simple present go/walk?

It means both. Russian doesn't have gerund form of their verbs.
