      Jukebox..reminds me around the same time, 71/72 I was 14 in 72 here in Malaysia too. Evil Ways & Guajira were popular at that time around jukeboxes. Black magic woman/Gpysy queen were the defacto songs for wedding bands.

      @@mramlija I was 14 in 1975 and Black Magic Woman was one of many songs played on my brothers wedding in Ipoh by a Malaysian band. Santana I believe played a concert in KL in 1972 if I am not mistaken.

      @mramlija 2 роки тому +3

      @@sansui77 they played in KL in 1973. I read the reviews in The Galaxy magazine popular then but long ago went out of publication. Manage to catch the second time Santana came to KL. Can’t recall the year 90’s I think around the same year when Eric Clapton came. Yes it was a satisfying experience to watch and listen to live shows! Never the same kind of audio experience you get from DVDs

      @@mramlija That’s amazing you remembered Santana coming over to KL in 1973. The galaxy was a magazine very popular then just like Fanfare. Glad you got to see them around the second time. Then SANTANA III, CARAVANSERAI, WELCOME, BORBOLETTA, AMIGOS, FESTIVAL, MOONFLOWER, INNER SECRETS, MARATHON etc... blew me away. One of the most beautiful things about Carlos Santana is his unique feeling when he plays guitar. Same with Eric Johnson, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Stevie Ray, and so on. Point I'm trying to make is, learn to play and create your own feelings as you play. Who knows, maybe you'll come out with an album and guitarist will start emulating you to which you can pay this advice forward (not trying to be pretentious is any way).

    Been listening to Carlos since Woodstock (50yrs.) am going to see him live in Toronto (Aug 6th. 2019) tomorrow. They're is a reason why Carlos and any of the great musical GAWDS from the 60's still fill stadiums. We're losing alot of them because of age, so whenever they come to Toronto I have to see them and they still put on amazing concerts!

    Carlos Santana- embajador cultural de la música en todo el mundo. poniendo la bandera de México en lo más alto de la cúspide del universo. Considerado innovador de la nueva música tras fusionar la música de los países con la música mexicana y el RHYTHM AND BLUES. donde trascendió en un nuevo concepto de sabor mexicano en su música. cuando escuchas una guitarra con ese sabor de ejecución sabes que es Carlos Santana, inigualable su concepto de ejecutar su guitarra, tocando con los mejores músicos de Jazz, Blues, Rhythn and Blues, Rock And Roll, Soul, Pop. Y una variación de géneros y subgéneros de la música universal. felicidades por tus cumpleaños Carlos Santana. Estampa Rock Colección. te desea lo mejor del mundo en tu vida. y Orquesta del Mundo Siglo xx1. te hicimos un tema musical en tu honor. Santana nació en Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, México. Su padre tocaba el violín en un Mariachi. De joven, Carlos aprendió a tocar el violín, pero se empezó a interesar en la guitarra cuando tenía ocho años, influenciado principalmente por el músico Ritchie Valens. En 1955 su familia se mudó a Tijuana, Baja California. Carlos se dedicó a estudiar la guitarra emulando los sonidos de B. B. King, T-Bone Walker y John Lee Hooker bajo la tutela de Javier Bátiz. Mientras tanto tocaba en conjuntos locales como Los T.J.'s, del cual era bajista, grupo donde añadió su propio toque y sentido original a las canciones populares de rock and roll de la década de 1950.
    Al principio se quedó en Tijuana para mejorar su pericia musical en los clubes locales, cuando su familia se mudó de nuevo, esta vez a San Francisco, California en el año 1961, pero pronto la siguió, se encontró matriculado en la escuela, aprendiendo inglés, y queriendo tocar música. Al mismo tiempo, Carlos fue sumergido en el ambiente pintoresco de San Francisco, con sus diversas influencias culturales y estilos musicales. El destino llevó a Carlos al sitio y época correcta, colocándole en medio de la floreciente y enorme escena musical que era el área de la Bahía de San Francisco, la cuna del movimiento hippie. En 1965 recibió la nacionalidad estadounidense. Un grandioso homenaje hace México como embajador de la Música universal de México.
