TJ demonstrating why he's a player of the year; he steps up in these high-pressure situations, making plays left and right. Congrats to Hawai'i who scored +2 points overall this match. These teams are almost perfectly balanced.
Hawaii can defo beat LBSU... Please come back bigger and better in the tournament!!! Thank you so much for the upload... It is so hard to watch but what a game!
Im sad because hawaii lost again against long beach but i still believe hawaii can comeback for the championship congrats longbeach but still i love hawaii team especially rado paraponov
Great two nights, Hawaii had solid matches both nights, they just don’t have the experience in big time matches (That go 5)the way LB do. TJ also proved he still is definitely the best player in the country. He just has that extra gear in the big time moments.
I dont know if anyone already said it but at 1:06:38 I love how the middle for LBSU still runs his route even though the setter is not setting it, and he runs it nicely too.
I can’t get myself to watch these two matches..I’m so sad. Not disappointed cause my boys really played good, just wanted them to win so badly. Let’s come back stronger Warriors.
UHVolleyBallFanToo lol! Omg..I could only imagine the pain of uploading it. Lol. I mean..they played real good..*sigh*..I’m still sad about it to this day. 🤣🤣
What. A. Match. If this is the championship game, this is going to be one of the best ever. I really think Hawai’i can beat them, especially in the BW championship, on home floor.
Gmaggedon yah honestly home games advantage make a big difference. Either Hawaii or Long Beach would take the W on home court👌🏾great game between both teams
Hawaii lost set 4 & 5 because they didn’t set the middles anymore. Joe was getting perfect passes but all to Rado. They crushed lbsu in set 3 setting the middles! Did Charlie Wade not see that?! I also feel like hawaii needs to be more scrappy and play with heart! Good job on lbsu for the win! De Falco really proved here that he can be the player of the year
Or even just any other shots outside of “hit the ball as hard as I can even with the triple block”. I’ve watched so many matches and I’ve NEVER seen him tip the ball. He rarely tries to purposely tool the block. Or roll shot. LBSU had a triple block on him soooo many times. And he couldn’t adjust. With lesser teams he hasn’t needed to and when he has a single blocker, hole in the block, or even just double blockers, he is absolutely terminal because of how dang hard he hits the ball. But he just simply did not and could not adjust to LBSU triple blocking him! This is why I truly don’t believe Hawaii will win the championship. Rado has single-handedly beaten teams, this was so evident in their matches right before LBSU. He carried them. That ain’t gonna work anymore! DeFalco can carry a team because he has an unlimited amount of shots. He can get a kill almost no matter what’s in front of him or what kind of set he gets! LBSU all the way babyyy
Mrs Moto I agree with you for the most part but I don’t think rado carried them. Everyone contributes on Hawaii. Rado is there to score points and that’s what he does. In the lbsu matches he played well in the start but he gets tired. Rado now is way better than he was last year but fatigue didn’t affect him as much last year because his shots were more deep corner type shots. This year he is only taking sharp angle shots and you can’t consistently go sharp especially when your tired and rado seems to not realize this.
laserhawk221 in the match where they almost lost their first set and the next one where they did lose their 1st set, Rado really did carry the team for the most part. Throughout those matches they could barely get a pass to Joe so they couldn’t run the middle and Colton/Rosey and even Stijn struggled. I never meant that he’s carried them all season but once they actually played a very tough opponent, it seemed he had to get about 75% of the sets for them to score/win
Mrs Moto lol he and stijn get roughly the same amount of sets and stijn hits a better percentage and in the second match against ucsb and both of these mathches stijn why they had a chance
Does anyone have an answer for DeFalco? He was hitting EVERY kinda shot/angle! Was grimacing everytime he put an kill! Was actually hoping Charlie/company would come away w/split, but Beach needs to come to the Sheriff on the road to title defense. Chris/Kanoa we're right, in that Warriors need to ALL the things that got'em this far...But just a LIL BIT better!...Imua, Koa Anuenue!
hi. what do you mean is this year something more with the rainbow wahine? with jolie rasmussen and hellvig from Sweden as freshman. several games for the national team already. there must be something going on. I've long suspected that she comes. she follows everyone from wahine and like everything. but only for a few months.
Exactly my thoughts. There were perfect passes alot of times on serve receive and in transition. Dunno about sports in general anymore. 3rd set worsley set the middle consistently and they blew them out. 4th set worsley ignored the middle. 🤷🏽♂️ Was weird watching it. Frustrating but confusing. Why not run the middles when it was working before? Something fishy. I think coach wade had something to do with it. He probably told worsley to keep setting rado and stijn to carry the team and it cost them the games. Stupidity if that’s true.
laserhawk221 i agree. Bad decisions. Maybe keep at it with the middles and stijn the ease rado into the mix? Dunno.... game is done but those games were not up to par with Hawaii’s normal play. They either were nervous, or joe was told to keep setting rado. Regardless, joe should’ve just played his game that he’s been playing all year. Strange.....
It was so retarded that they were scoring when he’d set the middle, but instead of not fixing what isn’t broke, he decided to set it high and wide for all of LB to know who to block.
Even though they lost, they can still keep up with this team, but just can’t finish it. But they still have a chance to redeem themselves in the Big West and NCAA tournament.
I'AM NOT DISAPPOINTED BY THIS LOST FROM THE WARRIORS WHO SHOWED A CLASS ABOVE THE REST OF THE BIG WEST LEAGUE. THEY REMAIN WINNERS AND GOOD CHAMPIONS FAR ABOVE DIAMONDS THEY TRULY DESERVE.
at 41:15 SVT gave LB a long direct stare (considered a taunt). Ensing was not fond of it. So at 44:20 Ensing gave them a stare too and the refs gave him a warning. It's gamesmanship pretty much.
Rado needs to develop some other shots outside of “hit the ball as hard as I can”. I’ve watched so many matches and I’ve NEVER seen him tip the ball. He rarely tries to purposely tool the block. Or roll shot. Hawaii was out of system quite a bit with LBSU’s tough serving and Rado was getting a lot of junk sets, so LBSU had a triple block on him soooo many times. And he couldn’t adjust. With lesser teams he hasn’t needed to and when he has a single blocker, hole in the block, or even just double blockers, he is absolutely terminal because of how dang hard he hits the ball and he DOES mix up whether he’s hitting line, cross, etc.
Cowells shot selection is bad because this if basically his first year actually playing. He always tries to go high hands or cross court and it isn’t working anymore, he needs to develop a line shot and a sharp cross court shot
He was good when it came to shittier teams, but with teams like UCSB and LBSU he just isn’t cutting it. But then again the exact same thing can be said for the rest of the Bows.
locomojoboy2 your an idiot if you think that ,joe played the best matches of his life and stijn played great also. Rado and cowell are the only ones who played bad these two games
@@locomojoboy2 Home court advantage for the BWC tourney. UH also beat them badly in the 2nd and 3rd set. They are evenly matched teams. There can be only 1 winner. Have some faith.
All the talk about Hawai'i having the world best fans is pure BS. They were some of the most obnoxious people I've ever seen. As someone that was in attendance, there were moments they were just flat out rude. Just take a look at the annoying girls screaming throughout the 2nd set (43:55). So happy LB took it to them and kicked their asses back to islands! Go Beach!
Once again, Bows completely deserved that 2nd loss because they played like absolute shit in those last two sets. Gage was pretty damn worthless as he barely did anything to save the ball throughout the whole game. Why did they bother to keep him on the floor? Joe does a complete failure as he decided to take it upon himself to attack the ball, only to hit it straight into the net. Rather than using their brains and hit it towards the open space, our hitters keep trying to be macho by hitting it right into their line of 3 blocker, only to be rejected. Stijn goes so wide to hit the ball that there’s only one direction that it can go, and it’s easily read and blocked by LB. Everyone kept serving it into the net and touching the damn net, giving LB a shit ton of free points. No one ever bothered to sacrifice their bodies to save the ball and instead just stood there like idiots as the ball landed on the floor. All of LB’s players fight to save the ball. They dive and sacrifice their bodies every time to keep it alive. Hawaii does not. We do good when Joe does quick sets to Gasman, but rather than continue to do what is working he instead decides to set it so high that everyone on LB knows who he’s sending it to, allowing them to get into position and block the guy the ball is coming to. If he were to set it with a lower arch, Hawaii could fake them out with a middle hitter or someone right next to him the way LB does. But when he sets it so high LB will automatically know who to block. Hawaii couldn’t block for shit and LB slipped it past them every time. The Bows are incapable of adapting to their opponents and they got decimated for it. I already knew that if LB came back and won the 4th set, that they’d win the game. The Bows better not complain when they don’t make it to the NCAA tournament again. They played like shit and deserved to lose. Long Beach made them look like amateurs. Long Beach IS the superior team.
I gotta admit it peeps..... he speaks the truth. He just puts it in a frustrating way and I feel his pain.😂 Hawai’i did play like crap. Zero heart in the 4th set. They looked scared or wade just sucks on his adjustments. Common guys admit it. Hawai’i did not play to their potential.
