    If you have a thick accent, make sure you speak with zero punctuation and nuance. Just sring 500 words one after another. People will love it.

    For people that have a straight headset tube this will make your headset as good as a tapered headset tube.
    Depending on the ID and angle of the bearings used a straight or tapered fork can be used....👍

    This is the right solution for straight tube to tapered. Thanks for the info. Can you give a link where I can buy the headset? Thank you.❤

    Is there a version of that for a 1 and 1/2 inch straight tube for a straight tube frame?

      If you already have 1.5'' at the bottom, then you have tapered spacing already, why change it ?.
      If your upper cup is also 1.5", there are cups with reduction to 1 1/8", but you have to look for them.

    So, what do I have to do in order to buy the right headset? Take the measurements from the upper and lower parts? Then what? Thanks.

    • @COOLBIKEyt

      Check if the inner diameter of the headtube on the top and bottom is 44mm. If so, will a 10mm high flange of bearing cup will fit from the bottom. And finally, if everything is correct order headset. Good luck:)

      @@COOLBIKEyt I just saw a video of a guy doing the same change, and he's doing it to a Trek Marlin 7. I was surfing on the internet about the differences between the trek marlin 7 and Marlin 5 (the one I have), and the frame and headset are the same for both models (actually, for all the Marlin series), so, I think I can buy the headset he used, which by the way, its the same headset you reviewed. What do you think?

    Hey, great video, but i have a question, does the cane creek 40 series with the zs44/ec44 does also work on straight headtubes?

    • @COOLBIKEyt
      @COOLBIKEyt  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, yes. These headsets are equivalent to ZTTO ones from the movie. If you have internal headtube diameter of 44mm, and enough space for the lower cup flange, they will fit.

  • @FATFORKS
    @FATFORKS Рік тому

    I wonder if the shorter insertion depth could cause the headtube to fail?

    • @COOLBIKEyt
      @COOLBIKEyt  Рік тому

      Which "shorter insertion depth" do you mean?

    • @FATFORKS
      @FATFORKS Рік тому

      @@COOLBIKEyt I mean with the ZTTO cup the insertable section is only 8.5mm deep, whereas with the Cane Creek which I believe is the original adpater cup the insertion is 15mm and they recommend getting the headtube reamed to accommodate if necessary. I assume they designed it this way to provide more surface area to distribute the forces and prevent ovalization of the headtube. That 8.5mm insertion depth with the ZTTO is a little troubling because a semi-integrated headtube is not designed to have lateral forces of leverage outside of the tube itself such as would be the case with this adapter cup.

    • @COOLBIKEyt
      @COOLBIKEyt  Рік тому

      @@FATFORKS It seems to me, that such a short cup collar is a must. Because I had a case where the headtube of one frame was so narrow inside, that it was impossible to press the cup to the end.
      I have already installed a few sets of these headsets, and there are no problems with them, but this was on bikes for normal riding, not for enduro/trail/dirt purpose.

    • @COOLBIKEyt
      @COOLBIKEyt  2 роки тому +1

      No, because flanges in ZTTO have a diameter of 44mm, so I will not go into the narrower headtube 34mm. In 0:46 you have a graphic showing how it works.
