      I think there is some kind of mental disorder (forgot the name of it but I've seen commercials about it and it was mentioned in the Joker movie) where the person who has it has bursts of uncontrollable laughter. I've wondered if Tucker has it, because it seems to erupt out of nowhere like a tic.

      @@meh2510 You know what? I think I may check out that myself. Cause it really doesn't sound normal. And I've noticed that there are certain conspiracy believing groups such as flat earth, etc. That will have one or two that laugh ridiculously kinda like Tucker here. Or they have someone that is extremely arrogant and to a degree that makes you ball your fist up and say scalding words underneath your breath (Yeah, funny how as soon as I accept being an Atheist, my blood pressure stays normal, no more emotional outbursts of anger, or simply thinking I can be an asshole to other people because they don't believe in "Guh Heeezuz! ). LOL, the last was a joke, but I'm sure you understand or at least get the picture. And I believe it kinda makes a claim as to why we should put religious beliefs in a mental health disorder. I agree with a person like Matt Dillahunty about everything that he believes in. But If I remember correctly, he's not a fan of calling the religious beliefs of people a mental health problem. I maybe wrong, and if I am, then I apologize. Do I think they're all deep in a mental brain death spiral? No, but you can tell which ones are misfiring, and the ones just needing tune ups. I mean if we gonna use analogies, let's do like evolution deniers and act like vehicles are things that can reproduce by themselves, and can evolve through means of natural selection lol. Anyway, sorry didn't mean for this to be that long. I'm going to sleep, f*** em lol!

    Tucker's claims about AI and the Left are en excellent example for his binary thinking. He doesn't like AI - or at least he says so - so naturally the people disagreeing must be "the Left". In reality, if you pick a random fan of AI "art" and stuff like that there is an incredibly high likelihood they'll be the most obnoxiously pro-capitalism person you've ever met who uses "socialism" and "communism" as slurs if they feel like using a different word than "woke" that day.

    • @kaip122

      How do you know this? Whats the link between AI art and pro capitalism?

    • @meh2510
      @meh2510 Місяць тому +7

      @@kaip122 Well, if it gets good enough, companies can downsize their marketing department and use AI to make their propaganda and commercials to sell their products. Its the reason we had a writer's strike last summer because they feared the film industry would replace them with mass produced script because its faster and cheaper even though the quality suffers.

    • @alanhilder1883
      @alanhilder1883 Місяць тому +1

      @@kaip122 If they can automate everything then they don't have to pay the workforce ( happening now without AI ) and that cuts down on most of the expenses ( not just wages, eg you don't need all those bathrooms to be built, Air conditioning for comfort, except for your office, except you will be on the golf course and the electronic machinery doesn't last long in high temperature environments, but we are talking a CEO, not someone who understands reality ), so that means more is profit.
      Admittedly all their customers just lost their job and will not be buying anything from them.

    • @shizanketsuga8696
      @shizanketsuga8696 Місяць тому +6

      @@kaip122 Those two questions would require a medium-sized novel to answer properly, but the short version is:
      All _robust_ objections against AI are leftist arguments while right-wingers can at best fake them because their populism is ultimately fake while corporate entities who don't give a shit about creative workers and only care about profits embrace as much AI as they can get away with as a cost saving measure.
      Plus, there is a strong correlation between the ability to create and understand art and political orientation. That one is so obvious it's become a meme at this point. And people who like the _idea_ of creating art but lack this understanding are fine with "picture look good", and when all goes well AI can manage "picture look good". Look at Shadiversity's "AI art arc" for a good example.
      So, there is a sort of "filter" to becoming an ardent fan of AI "art" that right-wingers fit through much more frequently. That's not the anti-capitalist crowd.

    I tend to be less critical of Joe Rogan than most. But him not completely jumping all over Tucker Carlson when he actually uttered the words....."That is why evolution is still only a theory 200 years later." Joe lost serious points with me for remaining silent after that. That is unforgivable. This is because there are few beliefs easier to blow to pieces than that one right there. Why wouldn't Joe stop Tucker right there and correct him? Joe can have his guy pull up the definition of a scientific theory and have plastered right there in front of Tucker and then have Tucker read it and then have him admit that what he said was massively incorrect. And until he admits that, the interview would go NO FURTHER. Joe Rogan should've said .........."Tucker, you have said many things today that I most definitely disagree with. I believe you are wrong about many of your beliefs and there is evidence that backs that up. But I have let most of it slide. I don't want to spend the whole show correcting the mistakes my guest is making. However I must insist that you get this one right. Because it is a all to common mistake made by anti-evolutionists, who then propagate this ignorance to others. And it needs to stop. Here is the definition of a Scientific Theory. Read it, understand it. And then I must again insist that you admit to your listeners, that you have been wrong. You must do this before we can move on with the show. It is that important to me."

    Regarding the SR-71, it isn't that it was undetectable. Rather, it was unreachable by Soviet weapons. It became obsolete when the Soviets developed weapons that could reach it, catch it, and shoot it out of the sky. It's been replaced by satellites. Nothing mysterious about any of this.

    • @GageEakins

      Yeah spy planes haven't really been used that much. That is changing however. Satellites do have a lot of limitations so by reporting, it seems there are two projects underway that use hybrid SCRAM jet/RAM jet engines that allow the planes to fly well over MACH 5. There is one from Lockheed Martin (the original maker of the SR-71) and another from a new aircraft maker that I can't remember the name of at the moment.

      An AI doesn't exist. Relax man. But! The set of technologies behind the phenomenon is unique thing. I'm using this daily. But it's not intelligence. It's large language model. The sense of our intelligence (consciousness) it's globally different thing. If someone will create real intelligence... Humanity will doomed 99% the real intelligence it something what will act and understand the process. But it's require another approach in technologies.

    Just to hear Tucker talk, you know he's off his rocker . He can't keep a steady stream of conversation . He's all over the place.
    Thank you Aaron for explaining that there never has been a concept among the scientific community that all life started from one single cell in one place this is something that I have heard throughout my childhood and even though I'm not a scientist , I now ( as an adult ) know that it doesn't make sense . If life can be supported all over the world at the same time then life can start all over the world at the same time or at different times in different ways you can stick a bucket of water anywhere and eventually have algae that's proof of the start of life .

    You listen to a guy like Tucker Carlson who had every advantage in life and doesn't understand the theory of evolution. What hope is there for the people that think he's smart? Are we ever going to convince them of what is otherwise consensual reality? Whether it's politics or basic science, it's getting harder to reach the people that we disagree with because the gap has become a chasm and it's the rare person who wakes up to the fact that everything they thought about our place in the universe is wrong. There was a Trump lover who was a big Tucker fan. And sometimes I worked with this guy and man it was freaking hell when he had get on a stupid streak. He didn't believe in evolution, he thought we were engineered by aliens, he thought ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were great drugs for fighting covid. He thought the vaccines were killing people at rates that far exceeded COVID deaths. The wacky shit he believed was just about everything that he believed.
