Dude Tamil movies have always been pan India. Right from all Rajini movies by Shankar , Mani Rathnam Bombay and many other works. They are blockbusters in Hindi market. Endhiran earned nearly 300 crores in 2010. Which is unheard of at that time.

I'm fascinated by the mix of English and native languages. Is this a common thing or are they doing it for this interview and its audience?
I guess they use their language when they don't find the words to say in english, probably he was improving his english yet at that time
This is actually a different language than the ones they speak at home! Rajamouli, NTR and Ram Charan all speak Telugu, but because they studied in different parts of the country they picked up languages from 2 regions. But irrespective of which language they speak, there are always English words sprinkled in each language. Some examples from Telugu:
Car - bandi
Sit in the car. - Carlo koorcho.
Phone - charavaani
Pick up the phone. - Phone thee.
