Back to full build videos guys with vlogs in between. Let me know what you think. I really like this natural look. Completely uncomplicated and anyone can do it. That's why I love your channel.. you make it where we can understand aquascaping, be successful and have fun! You are so down-to-earth and I thank you for always sharing the processes of your builds!!🐟🌱🌱
We got rid of our Marineland 76 gallon half round tank and downsized to a 45 gallon. I want to scape it like a pro but alas, a pro I am not... you make it look so easy! I’m sooo hooked on your channel and I know I will eventually get my aquascape done right!!! Cheers from Ridgefield in Connecticut USA 🇺🇸
I liked the old guppy tank with all the reds, but this is some new level of coolness! The frosted background make thinks pop just the right way with the sand. Your boys are so sweet, with proper toys too (all teh action figures!!!! Yay! )
I feel you on that coffee. I've been drinking a coffee every morning for years, and I still burn my mouth like 80 percent of the time on the first sip.
This was the aquascaping equivalent of one one of those wierd sand paintings that look kinda bad the entire time untill the artist does the big reveal and blows you away. Love the scape!
Love the lighter background and clarity too, thanks! I have a request, for my woodland tank I would love to see a video on how to get sticks to stand up and stay put to represent trees in a forest? They uproot so easily and float away, or it looks like a hurricane has just blown through!
wasn't sure at first - especially when you poured all the mixed gravel on - but wow! The result is stunning. Well done, thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Cheers
Your content keeps getting better and better. Your tanks always inspire. I am currently planning a fish room in a storage area of my basement because of your videos!
Love you're videos man! Educational and entertaining. I'm still learning about this myself and I've been through trial and error for many years now. Your videos have definitely been helping!
You make it look so easy. 🤔Just broke down my saltwater tank to fresh water. It didnt go as smooth as yours but I did it.😉Also you will make one break the bank trying to get a tank to look like yours.🤣 Thanks for the inspiration and keep it up I love watching your videos. However I won't be doing it again!🤦🏽♀️😁😉
Very nice. Love that frosted background look. Im going with that look for my next tank. Great video. Happy father's day btw. That was a fun bit with your son
This is so beautiful! I love the dry riverbed look! I would try this one myself. I would also keep it free of of any wood or extras. Simple, clean, BEAUTIFUL!! Nice work, as usual!!!
Sound track in this video is wonderful! Loved it! I have some of those pond style plqnts in my high tech aquarium as floating plants. They grow like crazy, i take it out in meters every month or two.
Ayyy, i did my first dirtied "tank" (actaullay a pickle jar lmao) its only been like a week and the plant growth, especially floaters, is amazing. No algae yet at all!
Md this guppy tank looks far more better than the last one 😍 more natural. I think so just some thin sticks of wood will make it look more better just a suggestion 😉 keep it up 👍
The tank looks fantastic. Could you do a tank using Pond Lillies? If so you could combine fish and frogs into one scape. Maybe in the tank that was the rainbow river?
I love elodea !!!!!!! .. about 90-100cm long in my tanks , best thing is it throws runners so if you cut just below runner 'BOOM' you have another plant ! This is one tough plant that grows and grows, & can withstand multitudes of temps/ environments and one of very few all my fish leave alone ' Even the Oscar & Goldfish' 🌱😁👍
Very nice video. I have a 60lt aquarium that I will plant and I want to put Guppies. After so long can I put fish in the aquarium and how many fish?☺️What other types of fish can I put in Guppies? Can I put small shrimp?🙂
I am ‘new’ to looking after an aquarium (properly). I had one 30 years ago and it was so much ‘easier’ back then (I had guppies, tetra and goldfish in the same tank 😱)! Now older and wiser I have gone guppy mad. How can I make them the happiest fish ever? I am loving the sand look (I have this in my nursery and planning to do it in my main tank too).
I've done a classic guppybanger tank in a working guest room toilet, works very VERY well for breeding. Water changes at the tip of my fingers. What kind of plants should I try out?
How's this kind of soil setup different from the gravel-bottom-substrate-top builds you do? Any plant/fish limitations? Would this setup need more fertilizer?
Hey MD! Oh I'm excited about these build videos! This is a super great tutorial! I really enjoyed it! I have so many ideas in my head for my next build.. but I'm trying to build up materials first.. thank you so much for sharing.. you really know how to brighten up people's days!.. and I hope you have a very Happy Father's Day 😁(I just love the kids....and Henry.. he is a little character 😂)ps have you been watching James the koi whisperer? It would be great to see you two get together(and I guarantee it'll be a lot of fun) and get you a koi pond outside your studio 😁
MD Fish Tanks thanks mate and yea it will be fun could even give you a idea on scapeing my big tank and then I could help you build a koi pond lol 😂 great video again you got skills
/nice guppy set up. out of curiosity, what sort of water testing do you do and how often? with all the changes and set ups are there any things you test more than others? plus with the different sorts of tanks like eco system etc i imagine you have to do different tests or at different stages?
Happy Father’s Day MD! That tank looks good! Should fill out really nice too! Question: looks like you haven’t baked the dirt in the last few tanks you set up? Are you finding a difference in not doing so?
The way you plant them in make it looks so easy! But when i do it they will flow up. Is it because i user small gravel to cap the dirt? Is sand easier?
Hey, love your tanks, and just wanted to ask you a quick question - do you ever have algae problems in any of your tanks due to the combination of low co2 and high lighting? If so, how do you deal with it? I set up my first tank about 8 months and i'm super happy with all the plant growth. However, i've got some green spot algae on a few leafs and recently developed some BBA too. Anyone in the comments, please feel free to jump in if you can offer some advice too.
The only fish I have are Guppies and Molly this motivates me to build a tank for them. Any tips and ideas about building a tank for Guppies? Thank you and more power to your channel
Elodea comes from Canada ( as the name says) it grows amazingly fast ! it tolerates quite cold waters and provides a lot of oxygen ! watch out, this tank will surely need to be trimmed oftenly :P
Loving the vids, every fish place you have been to, I have been to! :) This may seem like a weird request, but could you possibly name a town near you, or where you live. I just want to know if my favourite channel’s owner is local :)))))
Really nice tank =). How well does the Oase thermo filter work in contrast to a regular heater? thinking of buying a canister filter for my first ever tank, and then im thinking like built in heater or heater outside in the tank -_-....
Everything I've seen & read has said guppies should have warm water about 78-80 degrees. Why are you saying it's ok at 20 degrees? Just trying to learn as I rescued a little male guppy recently. Nice to have an English UA-cam channel on this subject as most are American & they have different things or things are called different names? lol
Alright MD....what time (UK time) are you uploading your next video? I’m assuming it’s coming the day after tomorrow. I’m tired of seeing these things six hours late. I’m getting up early.
Not using a rubber mat under the aquarium still gives me anxiety lol, but I guess that's just me. Loving the sand slow motion , I don't know when it made it's comeback but lovely that it did! Edit: Elodea? Great and easy plant, I love that! Though have fun trimming it back a lot, it grows FAST...
just a heads up/keep an eye out: some off those kinds of pond plants actually don't root much if at all...they are made to float and float only. And if they rot all those leaves drop at once and smother. it's a horror if it happens. But since I don't remember the type where thats a problem, maybe heads up not needed. Like this tank! Enjoy the sneak peeks on member channel: do more of those if you can
Someone I know has kind of an overwhelming breeding problem with his guppies and wants to give them off to his local pet store as well. Would he just have to put them in a plastic bag with water or what would be the ideal way to transport them?
Thanks for the great content!!! Quick question where do you buy the frosted vinyl on the UK from??!! I keep trying to look for it, but with no avail :( ...........
Your son is adorable. I love that you keep his interaction in. Happy Father's Day!
I swear, your kids are some of the cutest I've seen; I love how your son just pops in and is like "Daddy, can you please beat the bad guys for me?"
...and I did beat the bad guys Stephanie...I did!

Is it just me or the quality of the video is on much higher level than it used to be?! Great work pal, keep going! Cheers from the Czech Republic 😉
I've been researching post production techniques a lot so that's great to hear :)
Completely agree, feels so much more refined to watch now
Looks so good, much more modern and ‘clean’.. I’ve just scaped a tank that looks like it too and I’m loving the bright modern look 👍
It will grow into a jungle but retain the clean open look at the front. That's what I want :)
MD Fish Tanks I’m further into the video now and I’ve done a path down the middle of two slopes too, great minds think alike I guess 😳😂
The plants the tanks, the fish, the rocks. Compliment each other so well. Great work MD 👏
cheers ollie

Personally one of my favourite of your scapes yet
Very Nice natural looking scape much better then before!! That unknown pond plant in the left back corner is Myriophyllum Similans.. grtz

Wow this looks great, how come I didn't get a notification! Keep the videos coming they are always awesome! Good job MD!
I put a frosted background after watching one of your other videos using your advice. It turned out great👍 Your tank looks amazing!
Love the build (as always), but seriously, your son is adorable!! Love that you included him instead of cutting him out ❤️
Sound track in this video is wonderful! Loved it! I have some of those pond style plqnts in my high tech aquarium as floating plants. They grow like crazy, i take it out in meters every month or two.
Great tank, love the colour contrast of the plants. Can’t wait for the next video. Happy Fathers Day.

The scape turned out great!
Although I would have chosen a darker background, would bring out the colors even more.
Looks ace.. Has a feel of the angels tank but more of a budget friendly one 👍🏻 also try demerara sugar rather than caster sugar in your coffee 😁
Looks really good. Love it
thanks mandy :)
Looks fantastic really great!!!. If you built that stand would you consider doing a step by step how to build a aquarium stand it looks great
Its all in the saltwater tank build :)

Use flood lights on it, and save the twinstar for another build😉.
No way. These plants are going to go crazy colourful with the twinstar!

Will it be okay for the plants if I just put sand at the bottom (as substrate) and aquasoil on top instead (for the base)?
yeah sure. Anything works to be honest. But with nutrients works so much better
Thanks, I'm on my way to buy the stuff now so I can get started tomorrow😂😅👍💯
