Well, from what I can remember, the older 1960s built part of the school had a centrifugal roof blower attached to a vent on the ceiling (not an inline duct fan, as you can actually see the fan blade and daylight when you look up at the vent). The newer building, which the classrooms had their own bathrooms, had the Broans, and the bathroom in the office had one of the rectangular ones.
@@mr.tomraypaz6085 did the roof fan come on when you turn on the lights or does the fan stay on all the time and the switches only control the lights or is there no switches for the fan or light or is the fan and light on a separate switch in the bathroom?
The roof fan did turn on with the lights, as both were wired to the same switch. Yes, the switch was in the bathroom and it accessible to everyone. I would sometimes turn off the lights and fan and turn it back on just to hear the fan power up. The Broans in the newer building stayed on and did have their own switch, but it was a tamper proof one that had to be turned on and off with a key.

My elementary school had these in some of the bathrooms.
