Super 7 was too expensive. This size is perfect. Leaves plenty of room to collect however many they choose from Springfield. I’ll def buy this line, just saw the couch in target ❤
Jakks just showed Super7 how it’s done! At 1/4 the cost:)

@@spacecrimebeatz These Jakks toys look like the price point it's offered for. I get the criticism for Super7, it isnt for everyone. But, honestly, these are no where close to Super7.
@@sprcrzy110 Not at all. I even think Macfarlane, Playmates and Kidrobot figures were way better than super7
As someone who missed out on the World of Springfield line, pretty happy Jakks is coming out with this. Also, keep it up Shiz! You got me into collecting a lot of the lines that you talk about (Mario/Sonic Jakks, Retro Batman MCF, etc).
I sold off like 80 world of Springfield figures

So you could get the entire wave for the price of ONE Super 7, and they are the standard version characters, not a bunch of C listers and weird variants.
I grabbed the 2.5 inch family pack to go with the living room diarama.

Homer can actually sit on the lid of the donuts while his feet rest on the box, it’s pretty cool
Remember if you make a deal for that donut don’t finish it.
I have the first 3 of the 4 waves of the Super 7 figures and was pretty devastated that the line ended, as I believe it's some of the best stuff Super 7 has done (Kang and Kodos shout out). I'm all in on this line for sure, and the price point is such a huge win.
Unfortunately, it takes a while for this stuff to get to Australia, but I am definitely keen to see your coverage of what Jakks have in-store for us at SDCC :D
I was skeptical about the Super7 line through reading the criticisms and complaints. But after seeing the Kodos and Kang in hand, I was convinced that it may have been the most faithful and meticulous representation of Simpsons characters as a toy
@@beenyman864 Yeah, I hear you. I saw some of the wave 4 QC issues (specifically Devil Flanders) and baulked at ordering them. Will wait until that wave is discounted I think.
Kang and Kodos are so amazing, I was blown away by the sheer size and detail of them.
I just found The Simpons stuff at my local Kmart today (5 inch, 2.5 inch, diroma for 2 inches, and plushies). So check there.
These Simpsons figures look awesome and I really want to get my hands on them. Because I really like The Simpsons

My Bart had problems as well, small scuff on the left eyeball and his left foot was stuck even after applying heat. Was able to get it straight but I don't think the peg actually turned rather just twisted so, will definitely be picking up another. Can't wait for Bartman so maybe I'll just hold off til then, the adult characters are too short for my liking but do look great. Excited to see all the characters they push out with this line.
Are they doing Bartman? If so, I hope it's him in the blue shirt and not the orange shirt.

Back in the day, I gave the donut that came with the McFarlane Sam & Twitch set to my WoS Homer Simpson. Worked perfectly.
Jakks needs to do Treehouse of Horror characters and I'm all in!!!
Drives me nuts how they made Bart so out of scale with the adult characters... would have been better if the kids all came in a 3 pack and scaled correctly. Bart and Lisa would have articulation and Maggie could be a static figurine. As for accessories, Bart gets his board and Lisa a saxophone.
I reeeeally didn’t want to buy into yet another line yet here I am, just ready to fork out for this entire wave. Nice review Mr Shiz

One thing i would change is the zoned out faces. Homer and Bart look like there from the 3D ep lol
I wouldn't mind if this line continues way down the line, I wouldn't mind the side eye variant 😂 a fun line to collect

I truly hope as the line continues I would like for them to make Skinner Chalmers and their accessories could be a Krusty Bruger- Steamed Hams.
These are great, i think Mattel did a better job on the sculpts on the 1990 line then some of the Playmates WOS, some even had 6 POA which is amazing in 1990.
Jakks Pacific is KILLING it. I’ve been collecting their stuff since World of Nintendo.

As someone who only collects jakks nintendo and sonic/sega, I'm jealous of this articulation and reusable packaging. I wish they would ditch simple blister packaging and do more articulation for those lines. ESPECIALLY 4" sonic...
I would’ve loved these as a kid, I just had the talking ones that didn’t have that much articulation.
I am grateful to Super7 for giving us some great renditions of characters (like Moe and Mr. Burns) but agree their price point on less desired characters was asking a bit much. I will say, though, that their Kang and Kodos are 2 of the best Simpons figures ever produced (if not just figures in general) and the Jakks figures size up well with them as they first appeared in the TOH episode with the "How to Cook Humans" book.
I only saw and got Bart so far and his eyes aren't perfectly aligned either. He also has some scuffing on his head, however for $13 I'm okay with keeping it as is.
They look pretty cool but it’s the joints that aren’t working for me.
A nice matte topcoat and they’re perfect

I wish super7 would lower their prices or copy what Neca does release two pack for $65 with double accessories. Dedrick tantum alone was $65 idk why because he didn’t come with anything special

Is Simpson Jakks better than Playmates? I don't have any playmates nor other figure. I have just one bart lego.
@@superboy3229 playmates has way more accessories and obscure characters but jakks has super articulation and better sculpting. depends on what your looking for

Gonna disagree on the scaling with Bart. He's way too big, but that's pretty common when it comes to kids in toy lines as I think the producers are wary about making them too small and thus appear to be less of a value. I think Otto and Willie turned out very nice, especially at that price point. The dead-eyed Homer face isn't working for me though and I'm tempted to see if something more expressive comes around that I prefer to this one before committing. Same for Bart, though I'm more content with the neutral expression there. Love the donuts accessory, but my Homer needs to look excited about having said donuts and the potential for more donuts.

@@ProtoArrow I’ve been picking up the old World Of Springfield figures of characters that I assume they won’t make nowadays (Bumblebee Man, Apu…) They still blend together pretty well!
