Cheryl - very timely, informative and insightful! Kkudos toVanderbilt.
As you may expect, I loved hearing how committee's (talented academics!) planned solution for a new, temporary custom form was rejected by USERS offered chance to review PRIOR to creation. Many HIT firms and IT departments would jump on original idea, create and implement it - add burden and stress to hundreds of nurses in a crisis setting - likely just rejected in the field. Sound familiar?
I'm deeply moved by RNs' courage under fire, and MSM recognition of their heroism. I'm equally disturbed about HCO corporate execs and Trump Administration treatment - failure to provide PPE or testing, muzzling (even firing) of whistle blowers (safety advocates) with some accusations of whining, questioning if clinicians were pilfering supplies. Outrageous.
Congratulations on ANIA leadership role. Hope you and other Nurse Leaders will take a hard look at COVID-19 response in context of overall treatment of RNs. The profession needs to propose a better path forward rather than return to "normal" when normal was the problem. Clearly we have the public on our side.

Thank you for sharing. Where are the documents that were referenced, shared by Vanderbilt? I don't see them here on on ANIA site.
