      No, by convention we only take positive value. The negative values are considered only if we write +- in front of square root

    Far too many words used. Be more simple. Math is about simplicity. Whoever doesnt understand you if you say things with less words doesnt deserve to do maths in a higher level. In pythagorean school in ancient greece you would be kicked out for saying too many words. Say as less as possible to understand as much as possible. Nevertheless, you are good.

      I strongly disagree and I think that opinions like this have done more damage to mathematics as a whole than pretty much anything else.
