Hi Ross, I think this is a close to perfect album. I agree that Should I Laugh Or Cry replacing Two For The Price Of One would have enhanced the album but in saying that TFTPOO gives a bit of light relief in the same way the BRILLIANT Head Over Heels does on side 1. Like An Angel is one of the most beautiful songs ever released by ABBA, Frida's vocals are magnificent and as you say, a great way to end the album. The Visitors is my favourite Abba album and my all time favourite album of 1981. I thoroughly enjoyed your review! All the best, Richard
Great review, though must disagree about "Head over Heels". I think it's a bright shiny standout track. Total agree however about "Two for the Price" (sigh, Bjorn and his unfunny 'humorous' songs). I'd also bump "One of Us" up just a notch. It is absolutely sublime and perhaps (even though commonly well-liked; still) underrated.
Love it, and I agree with almost everything you said, though for me Like An Angel... is a 10/10. My favorite song by ABBA is the title track of this bleak album, and - yes - Two for the Price of one should have been replaced by the excellent Should I Laugh Or Cry.

Very good review in which I agree totally....yeah, I too would have much preferred 'Should I laugh or cry' over 'Two for the price of one"
Graded the album of some of the songs way lower that I personally would, but interesting to hear a fresh opinion.
Their best album. My kids heard Soldiers and said "ABBA" immediately. When they heard The Visitors they stated it was among the best they've heard.
