The older sentai makes much better and realistic mechas than the sentais now. Perhaps due to the convenience of technology :(
Or perhaps Toei had just run out of good ideas.
todays mechas are just a mumbo jumbo of parts that are hard to decipher from each other, CGI'd to the maximum, with spins and twirls and explosions, enough to make you sick.
I blame Michael Bay. He showed he can put junk together and make a mecha that makes no sense. Since his junkformers even anime mechas started doing the same. They all look like powerful toasters.
I love laughing my ass off Ninja Black's perfect English when he performs his attacks.
Funny story, Ninja Black is played by Kane Kosugi (son of Sho Kosugi) and he grew up in LA.
Another fun fact:
Kane Kosugi played the human host of Ultraman Powered in Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero and Powered was voiced by Sho in the Japanese dub.
He was also in the original Ninja Warrior.
If i'm not mistaken he was also kazuya in the live action tekken movie
And the main villain of the recent Kamen Rider Revice's Battle Familia movie.
What's interesting to me is that they never actually show the rangers piloting the individual components of Muteki Shogun, meaning that they become and ARE the individual zords in this series. That's honestly such a cool concept

I know the Power Rangers footage is all from Super Sentai. but why isn't the American stuff this freaking awesome?!
Because in America, they only care about making money. So they make the show as cheap as possible, and convince kids to buy the cheap plastic merchendice.
They didn't want to adapt dairanger or kakuranger properly because the the zyuranger suits we're too popular and felt they would lose fans.
Probably some are considered too violent for kids (back then).

Muteki Shogun will always be my favorite Sentai Mecha. The Japanese Castle themed design is iconic, it’s overall bulky and full of power. It’s just so damn cool and I can’t stop myself drooling over it.
In Sentai, Zords are sentient mechs that are gods, and Ninjaman’s not a buffoon, but also a god.
Not that he doesn't have his goofy moments, though. Remember why he got sealed in Gokaiger?

The megazord in the Power Rangers movie looks like a cheap version of the original from kakuranger, i wonder why because the single zords has been redesigned way better, looking way more similar to the original versions
It still amazes me to this day how badly that movie botched the design of the Kakure Daishogun into whatever the Ninja Megazord turned out to be.

It's funny how, in the Power Rangers version, to form the Ultrazord, they have to use toys, literally toys with Titanus to improvise the whole-merged zord, because they don't have an "Ultrazord" in Sentai, and to keep it cheap they went to

Producers: "But sir, the Japanese film of these didn't had an Ultrazord, and to film that we have to create by ourselves"

That is correct.
The reason why is because the Shogun Megazord was so huge and Saban had it in his head that the final megazord combination should always be the biggest
I guess they see how the bigger bulkier Shogunzords look more like a final form upgrade.
Mainly cause the power rangers had 6 rangers so they wanted 6 zords and super kakure daishogun looked better for a 6 zord combination compared to super Muteki shogun. Plus it works since they had to eventually write a story arc to send off Kimberly
The US version never did fight scenes like this they always call the shogun zords and immediately form the megazord

The only Zord non Megazord fight was when Billy used the Blue Shogun Zord to fight that wall monster. Or the time they used the Shogun Zords not Megazord to fight that Ape monster in season 3.

That was mostly due to budget, since they had to dedicate a lot of footage to original fight scenes due to still using Zyuranger/Dairanger suits. Plus, they were actively trying to have an on-going plot, which was something new to the writing staff at the time, and it became a lot of juggle. They did use a few more individual Zord scenes during the Alien Rangers arc, but that was likely also due to budget since they had not one but THREE sets of main casts to pay (the original Rangers, the kid Rangers, and the Aquitian Rangers).
Also, since MMPR Season 3 had six Rangers while Kakuranger only have five, they brought over the animal mecha first. As such, they couldn't use too much footage of the regular form of what would be the Ninja Megazord, since they didn't want to come up with a reason every time as to why Tommy was delayed in every single fight like in Season 1. So, the battles were cut short and they immediately jumped to the finishing move so that Tommy could be on the front lines. After all, he pretty much WAS the star of the show at that point AND the leader of the team.

I agree. It was really awkward to watch a bunch of Alien Rangers jump around and punch at the air while controlling the zords. Heck, the actors in Alien Rangers didn't even get credited in the opening theme song. All I can say is at least after that ended we got Zeo.

The last super sentai I've followed.The latest mechas looked way simpler than the charismatic first group, it should be inverted in the series, the team movement of the robots to build the Shogun also is the best among the previous series.

12:35 es muy curioso como en Power Rangers usaron primero estos zords en la primera etapa y luego en la segunda usaron los anteriores a estos cuando en Kakuranger era totalmente al revez, esos primeros eran los segundos que usaban a la mitád de la serie. Nunca voy a entender este cambio que hizo Saban ademas de decidir adaptar Kakuranger como una miniserie de 10 capitulos con el nombre "Aliens Rangers"
Kakuranger.. Tenía partes cómicas y una que otra situación ridícula por asi decirlo pero muy bien equilibradas a su trama . Saban al momento de adaptar las situaciones y volverlas un tanto serias las historias americanas quedaban pésimas quizas por eso las volvieron solo un relleno que por cierto fue un fracaso hasta donde se.

Al ser un Sentai mas comico y menos serio fué muy complicado usar su montaje siendo que PR era mas serio, la comedia se arruinaba totalmente con la musica y las voces de los actores de PR y por eso las escenas no pegaban bien

The Decepticon laser effects, I like to think that Toei created the effect since it's been used in quite a few productions of theirs since their studio helped animate the Transformers cartoon for Sunbow/Marvel.
