    You can clean your green butter made in a crock pot easily. It's the same process used to render saturated fats like lard. Just add hot water to your butter, mix it up and put the container in the fridge. The infused butter will float to the top and your water solubles will remain in the water below. Once your butter hardens you just pull out the chunk of butter from your container and dry it off. Discard the water. Much more efficient than wasting hundreds of dollars on a speciality machine in my opinion.

Figured I bumped it so they turned it back on and continued stirring. It was green mush wen I got home.Took 3 cycles of water and chill. In the end it was amber colored high thc and all you could taste was butter and tenpins.

    Thank you Liz. I started out with a crock pot and moved on to the Levo which I really like. I use 'Jeff the Chef's' cheat method of infusing without the pod and using screens from my french press. I still notice inconsistencies with strength (some people say they enjoy the high, others say nothing happened but I think it may be linked to how heavy a smoker they are? What do you think?) I also think I may have to improve my harvesting and curing process and invest in a better de-humidifier and a hygrometer. I have just been winging it. So much to learn! My husband and I are enjoying our retirement years learning all this stuff. I use your gummy recipe all the time. Thank you I couldn't have done this without your channel and your knowledge.

    This video prompts several questions for me and I’m sorry if they’ve been answered already. First off, hi Liz, I found your channel last night and have barely stopped watching! Thanks for all the great recipes!! Second, apologies in advance but I tend to go into great detail typing lol. Okay so I don’t own any butter infusion machines myself but I’ve seen several reviews on the levo where users say it burns their flower during activation and wondered if you’d experienced this yourself? In my own experimentation on the stove and crock pot I have found that longer does equal stronger infusions. Of the two, or 3, counting the instant pot, I personally prefer the crock pot because I can let it go 48 hours and get a nice, strong infusion vs 4 hours on stovetop is a waste of time and loss of product. (No stranger to rendering self unconscious over here but really just have a high tolerance for medicating) So, I combat the chlorophyll issue the best I can by “cleaning” my infusion by cooking it with water. (1 oz plant material, 1 +1/4C for loss butter or 1 C coconut oil and 2 C water, replenishing water as needed- after 48 hours, strain as usual, cool, separate chlorophyll filled water from butter or oil, “wash” and strain again if necessary). This still leaves me with a dark product that doesn’t have the best taste but it’s got a kick. Realizing that I do like to make my edibles more on the potent side, okay as potent as possible so I can nibble and make them last since product is not cheap, let’s be honest, so if I had a Levo, could I adjust the infusion time to my liking and would you have suggestions? More questions for you! Maybe you have a video out there with these answers but you address things like mold inhibitors and things the average at home chef doesn’t think about. That’s awesome, thank you for your thoroughness! My knowledge is put it in the fridge or freezer, it’s made from plants, not gonna last forever, haha 😂. Can we maybe get a chart, a video, something to print out for reference that says hey, reminder, cannabutter (real) has a shelf life in the fridge of @...., cannaoil..., brownies, cookies, chocolate, tinctures and so on? Pretty please with canna sugar on top if you get the time? Thanks again for everything!

    Personally I believe that the addition of chlorophyll, other water soluble cannabinoids and terpenes that accompany a full plant extract makes for a much better medicine than simply trying to extract the active fat soluble ingredients. Chlorophyll has a ton of health benefits and the water soluble compounds act synergistically with the active fat soluble cannabinoids.

    • @mypracticallyinfusedlife
      @mypracticallyinfusedlife 4 роки тому +8

      The only issue with chlorophyll is flavour based. It can have a strong flavour and leave a gritty texture behind, but is otherwise harmless. My concern with butter that dark, is heat damage. It looks charred and that means lost medication.

    I hope everyone is starting with clarified butter first. The clarification process should remove most water and other non fats and just leave the good stuff. Also been using magical butter machine for years and I think it does a pretty good job on all kinds of extractions. Squeeze extraction through couple of layers of cheesecloth and it comes out real clean. I am almost famous around here for the caramels I make from my butter. I only use Kerrygold butter exclusively. NaTysha Rayson I have used the magical butter machine to infuse into butter, 190 everclear, refined coconut oil and mct oil. Coconut oil is good for filling caps. Mct oil and 190 made tinctures. And of course butter can be used for everything. I read somewhere that the kerrygold butter was higher in fats than your regular everyday butter. THC binds with fat so it can’t hurt. Also happy grass fed cows help make the butter. FWIW.

    Thanks for the info. Almost purcased the Magic Butter but now am convinced the Levo is better product.

      Be mindful, all the reviews I have seen online for the machine itself are horrible. Most people recommend the ardent and magical butter machine put together. Canadian reviews for the machine, on Amazon, are horrendous.

      @@butful32 ...which 'machine' are you saying the reviews for are terrible?

    Hi I enjoy all your videos and have been learning a lot. I saw your other video about emulsifying the butter. I don’t hear many people talking about emulsification but it seemed like a must have for me. I tried it and it worked great. Question, you mentioned in this video that the Levo emulsified the butter and no need to add lechitin or guar gum. Is that because of the way it spins with the magnet? That’s very interesting to me. How good of a job does it do compared to how you hand mixed it in your other video. Thanks and keep up the great videos.

    Love this info. A couple of questions as i look to nail down a method to live by lol. I would still do the double boiler on the stove top.Mainly because i don't make edibles that often. What is the best temperature when your simmering on the stove? Is adding water to the mix not a good idea? Also what is your decarb method, temp and time. Thanks for the help.
