That was such a lovely day, we should absolutely get out to another venue soon!😊 - Zoë, just excellent the way you've spliced and composed the footage, you're a wizard with i!❤ As for Jen and her presenting style, I can see her doing a show similar to "Britain's Railways" - amazing work ❤ well done you two!
I last went to the Worth Valley Railway many years ago with my late girl-friend who subsequently died of cancer in 2018. We had a happy day and walked from the Parsonage across the moor and it came on to rain very hard! We ha a nice cup of tea in the teashop in Haworth. I shall always remember that day. Thanks for uploading,
Hi Jenny/Zoe Another great video, I like this 'new series' of visiting preserved railways, two down loads more to go to...lol maybe Bolton Abbey and Embsey or Llangollen next?? Thanks.
My first visit to KWVR was a LYRS 'Lanky Day Out', which included exclusive use of the former L&YR Manchester - Blackpool Club Coach - talk about travelling in style!
Well as regards being on a train during an air raid during W.W. 2 there no silly voice announcements and little space or lighting to read notices, and no intercom tannoys. Being transferred from one battleship to another my father had to travel from Plymouth Devonport in Devon to Thurso the furthest point in Scotland, prior to the notoriously rough sea passage to Scapa Flow across the ferocious Pentlandite Firth. He told me that the miserably slow train stopped frequently during the night as the Luftwaffe bombed the railway stations and junctions. So no fun heritage coaches whatsoever. Blacked-out, overcrowded with service personnel and little comfort. In fact our railway system contributed massively to our war effort but was worn-out and massively in need of repair. Unfortunately, our country was broke and I still have my Ration Books while defeated Western Germany soon rid themselves of those with massive American Marshall Aid which with Lend Lease we only repaid under Gordon Brown in the 21 Century!. 👍🏻🏴✌️
The “silly voice announcements” were added by us because this is a video, so it needs both audio and video. We tried to make it sound like an old time radio announcement, not necessarily something that would have played over the carriage. It’s not meant to be “silly”, it’s meant to sound period appropriate.
Brilliant video Jenny, Zoe and Iron Horse Railways
Great video love looking at old trains glad you had a great day thank you for sharing 👍

That's an interesting class 37 with the different end styles.
"You can't knock going to war sat down.." That made me chuckle
You were just a bit early for the Flying Scotsman Fest at kwvr.
You must go on the North Yorkshire moors railway
If I'm not mistaken you passed a Gronk with the breakdown train. Every preservation line should have one!
Gonna miss KWVR 41241. He’s the flagship locomotive on the line for many years.
Is that Craig's bike, in the bottom right corner of the opening sequence, at Ingrow tunnel? 🙂
37075 did I drive that on the churnet valley railway
Has 2 different front panels
Home town.
very jealous Jenny
