Master Chef Tarla Dalal Explains the quickest way of making corn kebab within 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup yellow corn (makai ke dane) kernels
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
3 tsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
salt to taste
Other Ingredients:
oil for deep-frying
For Serving:
green chutney
Method:
• Blend the corn in a blender to a coarse paste, without using any water.
• Transfer the mixture to a bowl and ad the capsicum, green chillies, rice flour and salt and mix well.
• Divide this mixture into 7 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round, press the rounds lightly to make flat kebabs.
• Deep-fry the kebabs in hot oil till they are golden brown in colour from both the sides.
• Drain on absorbent paper.
• Serve hot with green chutney.
It was year 1969 when I was 16 yrs old and my Mom joined me for her cooking classes in my summer vacation! It was her 1st batch of cooking classes! We lived only 5 mins from her in Bombay! I was so intrigued by her and whatever I learnt in those 10 sessions I used to go home and make it next day for my family! I owe my serious interest in diff kinds of foods and cooking, specially continental foods to her! Thank you Tarla aunty ( that's what I used to call her)! May God bless your soul🙏❤️

I used to cook continental dishes ever since I was 14 years old! And believe me, they used to turn out to be too perfect. I would want to add that it was possible only because I used to follow her cookery books. Today’s chefs are good too. But Tarla Dalal was awesome. Beyond comparison!
