I've been giving a lot of thought to using the tow behind backhoe from Harbor Freight, a very similar "J" hookup, and utilizing the motor on it to power a loader attachment.. I want to separate the engine from it, let it act as a counterweight for the loader.. The only thing I'd change on your setup is to tie in the rear axle.. The extra support would come in handy with uneven loader loads. One other change I think you'd like, add a spring platform to the seat. 8 springs tied in at 4 anchor points does wonders for uneven terrain and jarring bumps. Love to hear your thoughts. A "universal" loader and/or backhoe hasn't been around since Quikway.
Do you have any more detailed photos of the mount as it attaches to the tractor? tried searching the web, and haven't found any forum posts, or website. Needing to build the same thing, and would prefer to not need to reinvent the wheel.
Do you have any pictures of the way you mounted that snow plow to the loader? I have a Kwik way loader and a Haban 54” blade im looking to do that with
Alot has changed with the hydraulics since this video. Im running a 6GPM pump off the rear pump shaft that runs the loader and backhoe. I should do an update video.
I was thinking of doing this quick connect method to mount my backhoe to my Case 646. Now that I've seen it in action, I like it even more. Good job!

I love the look of well deserved satisfaction @ 4:51 after you get it all buttoned up. Nice job man, that is awesome!
Great job, and the backhoe seems to be quicker than my kubota bx25.
Does it still look and work as good 8 years later or do we need a new video for an update?
I must say, it sure looked sweet back then!
Works just as good. Changed the swing cylinders tho. 👍
Who manufactured the backhoe?
