Honestly this guy - this video has saved me! although i'm in first year at uni, we are suddenly doing a course in ecology (not my main subject) and it's taken me hours just to figure out what on earth biomass actually is on a simple level so that i can figure out a whole tonne of other things - also in this video. phew!!!! THANKYOU!!!
Sat here playing out the scenario in which a bunch of goobers arm themselves with the finest caterpillar slaying weaponry on the market, in order to dry them out for their own 'scientific' purposes.
Even though this isn't Chemistry, I would just like to say thank you for these videos. I wasn't feeling prepared for the chemistry GCSE exam at all today but I watched your videos and I think I did really well. Your videos are incredibly helpful, and I appreciate them so much. Thank you.
It would be accepted, but you’ll lose half or more than half a mark. I’d recommend you to write and explain properly, especially if it’s a final GCSE/IGCSE exam!
Hello sir, according to the advance information, we are not required to cover “4.7.4.2 Pyramids of Biomass” but are required to cover “4.7.4.3 Transfer of Biomass”. At which time stamp would you consider the margin which separates the two? Thank you

Normally, the area of each step represents the biomass at that trophic level. It is possible that they would give you one to complete. The key thing to remember is that the steps always get smaller towards the top due to energy losses.
Nobody:
Every sinle science teacher: Ima steal ur vids and put it in every class i do
Sir should get some sort of medal for doing this, he’s so helpful to so many people!

Wow what a nice compliment from the real Gabriel Jesus

Yes sir hahahhahahaha

Lelouch????
Can u pls make videos on A'level sciences
ik ur prob done with uni now but he has
this guy is the reason people pass science
Could we get a mark for saying that some of the biomass is lost due to not all parts of the prey being edible? For example bones.
Yes I think that would be accepted.

I can't thank you enough! I was about to explode reading the texts over and over again
you should monetize all of your videos, you deserve the money.

You are a legend thank you! Anyone else here in Lockdown? I can’t be the only one! *raises hand*

Just look at the spec and search on google. So much easier

Can anybody help to drawing pyramid of biomass??
Thanks in advance
0:53 lol love these videos thanks so much
Literally the night before my Science exam
Thank you so much for making these videos, they are quick and saved my life.
This is also known as pyramid of numbers, the sizes relate to organisms
Absoloute Legend My Son.
what is the actual defination of biomass
The dry mass of biological material in grams
When they ask you in the exam to draw the pyramid, does the length and width matter or do you just write the numbers on?
Normally, the area of each step represents the biomass at that trophic level. It is possible that they would give you one to complete. The key thing to remember is that the steps always get smaller towards the top due to energy losses.
@@Freesciencelessons thank you so much 🌟😊
Thanks for all your videos!
You are an absolute legend
This helps me in year 8
Hell yeah, more videos!😊
The man the myth the legend. Shaun donnelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why does he wear the same suit though
I actually wear three different suits in my videos.
@@Freesciencelessons fascinating :)
Thx so much! It helped!
lets go quarantine
Don't you also have to know how to draw the pyramids of Biomass? @freesciencelessons
Yes you should be able to draw a pyramid of biomass. They all have the same basic shape.
I have to study this but im core? is this relavent to me..?
no
Felt like I got around 50 on b1 then like 25 marks on c1 anyone else like that?
If plants have so much biomass compared to other species how come they don’t weigh that much compared to humans
Biomass refers to all the plants in an environment not just one plant. Collectively the mass of plants would exceed the next trophic level.
@@Freesciencelessons so basically it refers to as population in a specific area depends too
