Whenever yuzu wins there's criticism (in older competitions). This young boy has to deal with all that. Still he proves himself again and again with time. And now when he is senior in this field he respects his younger ones who took over him. Now that's a LEGEND BEHAVIOR.
Even though he was the champion, Yuzuru clapped for another two who won medals, he is so polit and humble! Then, after for years, Yuzuru won a back-to-back gold medal just few days ago at South Korea, been as an athlete with kind heart and incredible hard working, he always deserve the gold medal!
Yuzuru is so amazingly polite and humble. He bows many times. Shouting "Arigatou gozaimashita". Claps along for his peers beside him, the bronze and silver medalists (eventhough there is 1 of those medalists who didn't clap when Yuzuru stands on the podium :p ). Yuzuru Hanyu, you're just like an angel that God sends to this world. Thank you!
I love how Yuzu always bows and claps for the other medalists and is so polite and humble and then just boings up onto the podium all cute like. Every podium he does that!
tbh I'm quite disappointed by the comments that are pointing out they are all asian or making jokes about their ethnicity. Sure its true that their all asian but that's blantantly obvious just by looking and there's no need to point it out. Besides the reason they won wasn't because they were asian but because their programs were incredible and seeing people dismissing it as simply due to their ethnicity is just sad. Congrats to these wonderful skaters.
RIP Denis Ten 🖤
Watching this now... Just wanted to show some appreciation R.I.P. Deniss Ten. You were lovely, talented and one of a kind. I truly hope you're at better place. You're missed. Patrick looks hurt and pissed (which is understandable) his eyes show how he's feeling deep down even though he's smiling. I'm glad he reached the point of happiness and peace now. You're always an amazing skater. And our winner Yuzu, looking so happy and gorgeous in that blue japanese jacket. Full of grace and smiles, and fire. Love seeing you like this. Always and forever goat! I've been missing this beautiful era (and in general, era up to 2019) in men's fs 🥰
I'm surprised about the the amount of rudeness from some people during the playing of the hymn. People should show repeat to any country's national anthem when played officially. Gosh, some people smh
There's a limit to how rude you can be. Everyone chattering around while a country's anthem is playing... Disgraceful!! Kudos to Patrick who had the decency of taking his hat off and showing respect despite seemingly being pissed off.
In the past Olympics Figure Skating award ceremony, the medals were awarded at the conclusion of the competition, and the medals were presented at the skating rink, this is the 1st time at Sochi that the medal ceremony were held at the medal plaza, just like some snow events medal ceremony. I prefer they awarded the medals to the medalist in the old style when the skaters stand on the podium with their skates.
+Yuhon Ho I hope they don't do this at the 2018 winter Olympics. (Have to say, Yuzuru looked so fresh-faced and cute here, and that was nicest thing about the ceremony.) I like having the medal ceremony immediately after the event so the athletes can get their reward right after they've won. The people who watched them win are there to share in the winning moment, too. They are also generally respectful while the anthem is being played, unlike here. Not sure why the flower ceremony that they had in the arena immediately after the event couldn't have been the medal ceremony.
+Pila426 they probably wanted everyone to be able to see medallists, since not everyone went to figure skating competition but for example somebody from their country win a medal here ^^ and while I love when medals are awarded right after competition, on the ice, I think it was nice that everyone was able to see medallists
I'm surprised they didn't do triple Axel dismounts off the podium:-) But all kidding aside, I liked the old style of medal ceremonies better, where they are actually on the rink with skates when they step up to the podium.
Absolutely! I think it'd be better if IOC went back to just giving the skaters their medals pre-Sochi, with the figure skaters in their costumes, straight off from getting their official results.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for posting it! I had to miss watching the livestream of it cause I had to go somewhere no I get to see it! Thank you!!!!
Is Yuzuru still competing? I have a feeling we're gonna be seeing Patrick and Yuzuru battling it out again in 2018. I just hope they get rid of the stupid team event so these guys are not exhausted going into their long programs.
Yes, I saw, so exciting. He has added the quad loop to his arsenal. He was he first to ever land a quad loop in competition at the Canandian Autumn Classic this year.
He just recaptured his second world title in 2017 ^_^ We will see them competing against each other, with some other young guys, in the 2018 Olympics :)
unfortunately Yuzu had a major fall and is not competing in the men's team even, as a result of the injury sustained from the fall. He is competing in the main competition only. Also just arrived in Pyeonchang last night, and had practise today followed by a press conference. I hope to God he will be alright and have a clean skate this Friday
I heard Chan was a sore loser and bad sport at GP Finals and at the Olympics and was acting like a jerk because Yuzuru beat him both times. I guess when you act like a jerk, Karma takes you down a peg.
@@ChriseyApplewell he shouldn’t said at the gpf2013 win yuzu got first that he let him win this one then he’ll win the Olympics and guess what yuzu win it too I hate people when they talk a lot at least after Olympic 2018 he really was nice and supported yuzu
This is the reason I became interested in ice skating again. Yzuru has brought in a new era.
And I’m back still here
Yea me too, only that i just discovered Yuzu in Beijing 2022
Whenever yuzu wins there's criticism (in older competitions). This young boy has to deal with all that. Still he proves himself again and again with time.

yuzuru hanyu well deserved the gold and he is so damn cute

Yuzuru won his back-to-back Olympic gold medal in PyeongChang 2018! Just come back to see his first time on the Olympic podium :D

Ugh Yuzu's just too fucking adorable.
i adore yuzuru so much he is the best model of a real sportsman👍👏
Watching this now... Just wanted to show some appreciation

Aw Yuzuru's smile is so precious

I love yuzuru for the first perfomance^^
really amazing !

Also there were more figure skating events in Sochi than during the previous OG, therefore time on the ice for each event was limited
Yuzu is so adorable in that jacket 😆😍💕
I never knew that joy. I only discovered him in Beijing Olympics. But thank God for UA-cam, I get to see them countless times.
I'm surprised they didn't do triple Axel dismounts off the podium:-) But all kidding aside, I liked the old style of medal ceremonies better, where they are actually on the rink with skates when they step up to the podium.
I totally agree

Back for YUZURU OUR KINGGG👑
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for posting it! I had to miss watching the livestream of it cause I had to go somewhere no I get to see it! Thank you!!!!
D10 I hope your are the future gold at the olympics in Korea... TY congrats..
it’s so rude that people are talking and laughing when the japan national anthem is playing, have some respect
Canada's lookin salty as Yu-chan jumps up there.
Lol Patrick seems so salty that he didn't get the gold medal.😅
yea he didn't clap when yuzu accepted the medal :p
Its normal though 😆
Understood
Yuzu is so pretty.
Yuzuru Hanyu You have Made Ary of skating. It is a delight to ser you
yay yuzuru!
Great! Thanks!
see u in korea pyong chang 2018
Rip denis ten
Take a photo every five steps
They all look so kawaii >○
Revisited this and omg can't they pick a better jump to show on screen for Yuzuru?? What about his 4T? Or his 3A-3T? or even the lutz?? Honestly....
Denis for me number one.
He is forever in our hearts.
Rip Denis ten 🕊🕊🕊
RIP Denis Ten. Such awful news 💔💔
Is Yuzuru still competing? I have a feeling we're gonna be seeing Patrick and Yuzuru battling it out again in 2018. I just hope they get rid of the stupid team event so these guys are not exhausted going into their long programs.
Yes he just won the NHK trophy for the second time this week and won the Spanish Grand Prix for the third year in a row.
hanyu won his 4th GPF title now^^
Yes, I saw, so exciting. He has added the quad loop to his arsenal. He was he first to ever land a quad loop in competition at the Canandian Autumn Classic this year.

such a pity, poor denis ten truly deserved the silver
shopparinina Agree
patrick looks so disappointed
That's cause he is.
At least a real winner took home gold (and not some entitled diva still whining over 2010 results)
What are you talking about? :O
they could've chosen their better jumps for the large screen video lmao
Patrick looks so pissed off!
But he's so nice.
He took his knitted cap off when Japanese national anthem was played.
I heard Chan was a sore loser and bad sport at GP Finals and at the Olympics and was acting like a jerk because Yuzuru beat him both times. I guess when you act like a jerk, Karma takes you down a peg.
💕✨👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
GO, ASIANS!!!!
The silver medallist was really a piss poor sport, wasn't he?
It was hard for him. He was on a winning streak and had said before the competition that he cant be happy with anything other than gold.
@@ChriseyApplewell he shouldn’t said at the gpf2013 win yuzu got first that he let him win this one then he’ll win the Olympics and guess what yuzu win it too I hate people when they talk a lot at least after Olympic 2018 he really was nice and supported yuzu
*hears background cheers and screams*
5:59/8:18
_legit fucking me_
Just noticed it, Patrick looks a little bit like Suho of Exo here. Especially his reactions.
it's yuri, jj and otabek
you deserve more likes ❤️😂
What is jj? And is Otabek Uzbekistan?
JJ, Yuri and Obek
😂😂😂
