Being a babysitter, I also tend to be attached to a particular parent, so I know kids who are more attached to one parent rather than the other. It can cause problems...

Part of the interaction was cut. Just before this, Takuma's and Kazuma's dad was dressed like a full blown kidnapper, hiding behind a bunch of bushes, when Takuma crawled through the bushes and got picked up by him. Ryuiichi thought Takuma was about to be kidnapped and made a mad dash to try and save Takuma. Kamitani yanked his shoe off and threw it full force at Takuma's and Kazuma's dad in order to protect Takuma. Ryuiichi and Kamitani had to carry the dad into the daycare room. Being a little sibling myself, I saw the scene of Kamitani with his arm around Taka as a show of how much they truly love and care for each other, even though they bicker and fight constantly. Taka knows his big brother will keep him safe, so he clings to him. Kamitani still probably has the adrenaline of needing to take down a potential danger to the kids and most likely still has the fear that his own little brother could've been in the hands of a potentially dangerous person coursing through him, meaning that he would feel much better if his brother was closer to him. Essentially both are scared shitless and are clinging to each other for comfort. Or that's how I saw that little scene. EDIT: I rewatched the scene. You can see the exact same thing happening with Ryuiichi and Kotaro. Although Ryuiichi is actively holding Takuma and Kazuma in his arms, he's hiding Kotaro behind his back, thus putting himself in the way of potential danger to protect his younger brother. I'd also like to point out that Kamitani is actively gripping onto Taka. Kamitani is poised and ready to grab up his little brother and bounce if shit hits the fan. Ryuiichi is standing steady as a barrier between the threat and his younger brother, but he is far more relaxed and trusting than Kamitani.
Anyone else notice that Kotaro joined in with playing with the twins father? Seeing how he is the only one of the daycare kids who doesn’t have a father makes that both sweet and heartbreaking
