  • This is easily one of the best bows on the market right now. It is so easy to draw and a lot of fun, whether you are back-yard shooting, at the range, or in the woods. This bow is just a joy to have in your hands.

    I seen these take down longbows a few years back now, started drooling over its lamented/burl finish straight away, then when had the dosh to spare, brought it. Its still my pride an joy!

    If the devourer is half as good as the black hunter longbow then its still good bow because the black hunter has got to be one of the best on the market at its price range, bugger !! Looks like I'm saving up for a new bow !

    It's cut off centre to help with the Archers Paradox. If it was central the arrow would go to the right. Amazing bow, Excellent craftmanship indeed.

    I just bought this bow with the carbon arrows today, 13 May. After watching this I can hardly wait to receive it! Thanks for the video and the information.

      So did I but still unsure of the weight i chose 40#. Still I cant say i master 45 even if I can shot it fairly regularly. The bow will be used in 3d trad.

    Wow, yes very elegant. Love the two piece design and the limbs have a supple look. I’m looking at getting a hybrid longbow. I love my flat bow but want to get used to shooting various bows. Great video. Liked and subscribed. Cheers.👍😎🏹🇨🇦

      @@bobcatbarnes2522 I've had mine close to 2 years now, still get a big smile when taking it out!.. it shoots well, an its finish looks awesome. I had a friend introduce me into archery few years back, when I brought this bow and showed it to him, he had me ordering him one within a day of seeing it lol.

      It definitely falls into that higher price brand. With the work that goes into it we just couldn't sell if for less. But we do run sales on and off throughout the year, so keep an eye on our sight

    I hope you all know this is an add for this bow. I was with him till its a silent bow. Ummm.... Survivor Lilly did an out of the box first time shoot with this bow. It's guitar string loud with out adding silencers. The vid is called
    "this bow will put food on your table"
    It was an over all good review but no it's not silent and for 400 bucks you still have modifications but I'm looking at buying it from what I seen it's super smooth, easy draw and very accurate.

    • @r1sabotage
      @r1sabotage 2 роки тому +1

      My bow just arrived. Like most other bows, there is some string noise without a string silencer. I put a rabbit fur silencer on and the bow is now dead silent. Survivor Lilly said it was a great bow and once I shot it, I agree. This ad did leave me a little concern at first since it's an ad but it's a valid ad. I just got this bow today and I'm already more accurate with it then all of my other trad bows. All Things Archery recently made a review on the bow and Todd stated the bow was the highest scoring bow he ever reviewed. He reviewed some bows I have and his reviews were on point with those so his video was the one that made me pull the trigger and I'm really glad I did.

    Have Mandarin cured the problem of limbs not matching the marked draw weight. I have had two sets 5lb below marked weight would hate to buy the devourer only to find it was the wrong draw weight

      with the bows I've looked at and the feedback we've had, I'm not aware of this issue. my personal Devourer is 30lbs and that's the draw weight I measured it as

    This is the copy of the copy. The Shrew Bow takedown is the copy of Big Jims Thunderchild. And this is the Copy of a Shrew Bow. Congratulations😂

    • @r1sabotage
      @r1sabotage 2 роки тому

      The Big Jims Thunderchild goes from 54"-58", their shelf is center cut. To say something that has different dimensions is a copy is a bit off.

    • @earlofcockwood4757
      @earlofcockwood4757 2 роки тому

      @@r1sabotage you can order it center cut, past center, tillered to split or three under. You can have whatever you want to. Because it is a custom bow. Same with the shrew. If you pay 200 more to henry bodnik he will do whatever you want. But this bow is more than just „inspired“ by the shrew, the thunderchild or even the quick stick. Thats the chinese speciality. Copy it and do do some slightly changes to it. But inventing something from ground up like ron leclaire did it back in the days is something else. Me for my part only support the hand manufacturing bowbuilders. But hey its a free wolrd so you can buy whatever you want and enjoy archery👍🤘

    Besides the price what is difference between the devoured and devoured mk2

    • @mandarinduck456
      @mandarinduck456  11 місяців тому

      The connection method is different and this has let us use a much better ergonomic grip so it doesn't feel as bulk/chunky in the hand 🙂
