When Fantasia won, I think her "struggle" came back to her for a moment. She was a teen mother, she couldn't read, she had to "fake" her way through the competition, and to come from such humble beginnings to "this", was nothing short of a Rags To Riches US Success Story. Oh by the way, did you ever hear The Singapore Idol, if you type Australian Idol Finalists, you'll hear him sing, "Through The Fire" By Chaka Khan. Truly amazing.

Damien was good and i wanted him to be in the final 2, but i thought Jess was better.Damien will not sell any tracks with that Oprah stuff he does, but Jess is hott, young and dynamic. plus she has come such a long way, hers would be a better success story!
Damien being certified gold only shows how popular Australian Idol is. After having the show on for the last god-knows how long, and seeing the build up to the final, of course his wretched musical abortion is going to sell. Come back in a year or two and then we'll see how many REAL fans he has.
Wow you are so right, Damien has proved how talented and popular he is all the time, but that means nothing. So much cheating goes on on those radio polls, thats why the same people get their songs on the radio all the time.....even if their songs are rubbish.
haha exactly. 1 Direction came third, not runner up but third, in the UK x-factor, and now they are the biggest boy band in history. Bigger then the actual winner. It just doesn't seem right to me. I reckon it doesn't matter what show you go one either it's X factor, Idol or the Voice, if you have talent, but they don't like your appearance then obviously you wont go further. These shows are obviously not about talent, they're more about "who will make money faster".

Some amazing talent coming out from Australia they both need the support from the public whether they won or not...outta here looking forward to next years contest! First and foremost, dial down the drama. I am an avid Idol fan, and I don't dislike anything simply because it's associated with Idol. You might want to stay away from calling people you don't know "stupid." Clearly, I took the time to listen to this song, and as Simon Cowell would say, "it's just an opinion." Again, in my opinion, the songs written for the finals are mediocre at best, this song included. In fact, had you read my complete post, you'll note that I specifically mention this song.

It was sourced that while she was on the show, she had already signed a record deal with Sony, which isn't fair, but then if you think about it the music industry is completely unfair, they base their music on cover ups and auto tune. So in reality the people with the real talent are blocked away.
In all honesty, I think all the different versions of Idol that utilize the "special song written for the finals" concept need to retire it posthaste. The songs are mediocre at best --the finalists should be able to sing songs of their own choosing rather than this drivel. Having said that, this gentleman has quite the pleasant voice--but the song is just too schmaltzy and sappy--much like last year's awful "This Is My Now" on American Idol 6 and "Inside Your Heaven" the year that Carrie won.
