VIRTUES OF SURAH MULK
• Sayyiduna Jaabir رضي الله عنه reported that Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم would not sleep until he recited Surah Sajdah and Surah Mulk [Sunan Tirmidhi]
• Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrated that Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم said with regards to Surah Mulk: '(It is) a Surah containing thirty verses which will intercede on behalf of it's reciter until he is forgiven. [Sunan Tirmidhi]
• Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrated that Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم said: 'A Surah of the Quran, that consists of merely thirty verses will argue on behalf of one who recites it until he is admitted into Jannah, it is Surah Mulk." [AI Muamul Awsar]
• Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه says, "Whoever recites Surah Mulk every night, Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave by virtue of this Surah. In the time of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم we named this Surah Al-Mani'ah (prevents the punishment of the grave). It is such a Surah. Whoever recites it every night has certainly done a lot and has done good," [Sunan Nasai]
• "One of the companions of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم pitched his tent on a grave without realizing it was a grave. Suddenly, he heard the person from the grave reciting the entire Surah Mulk. So he went to Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I pitched my tent on a grave without realizing it was a grave when suddenly I heard the person from the grave reciting Surah Mulk." The Messenger of Allah Ta'ala said, Certainly, it (Surah Mulk) is the defender, it is the protector - it protects one from the punishment of the grave."" [Sunan Tirmidhi]
