  • Make this incredible Bakery style Black Forest Cake on this World Chocolate Day! Cake with just 1 cup Maida at home! Black Forest Cake is traditionally a German cake enjoyed by everyone. It is a chocolate based Cake with Cream and cherries. Since this is a cherry season, this cake is definitely a must try! It is a full proof recipe with proper tricks to give it a bakery style authentic look! Do try this recipe. Written recipe is below with the gram measurements:-
    Black Forest Cake
    Components:-
    1) Eggless Chocolate Cake Sponge
    2) Sugar Syrup
    3) Cherry Compote
    4) Chocolate Ganache
    5) Whipped Cream
    6) chocolate Shavings
    1) Ingredients:-
    Maida :- 1 Cup (250 gms)(have used 250 ml cup)
    Milk:- 3/4 Cup (188 gms)
    Castor Sugar :- 2/3 cup ( 167 gms)
    Vinegar/Lemon Juice :- 2 tsp
    Oil :- 1/4 Cup( 48 gms)
    Baking Powder :- 1 tsp
    Baking Soda :- 1/4 tsp
    cocoa powder :- 1/4 Cup( 25 gms)
    Vanilla Essence :- 1/2 tsp
    Method:- Mix Warm Milk and vinegar and keep aside to curdle. Buttermilk is ready.
    Add sugar and oil and mix well.
    Then sift in the dry ingredients and form a lump free batter.
    Do not overmix otherwise gluten can develop and make the cake hard. Just combine until everything is properly mixed.
    Add the batter in a greased 6 inch round tin
    Bake at 170°C in a preheated oven for 25-30 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Only lower rod to be used
    Non Oven Instructions for Baking:- Take a Cooker or a deep vessel and place salt or sand at the base of the vessel. Then place a stand and then preheat the vessel just like we preheat the oven. Then place your baking tin and check in 25 mins. Flame should be low to medium
    2) Ingredients:-
    Sugar: 1 tsp
    Water: 1/4 cup
    Method:- Mix Sugar and Water together and keep aside. It will dissolve after 5-7 minutes automatically.
    3) Ingredients:-
    1/2 cup Pitted Cherries(around 50 gms)
    2 tsp Sugar
    ½ inch cinnamon (optional)
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 tsp Lemon Juice

    4) Ingredients:-
    50 gms Chocolate
    15 gms milk
    1/2 tsp Butter
    Method:- Melt Chocolate in a double boiler, add milk and mix well. Heat the mixture to remove any lumps and add butter for a shine.
    5) Ingredients:-
    1.5 Cups (325 gms ) Whipping Cream
    Method:- With the help of a hand whisk or electric mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks. Keep it in the refrigerator until further use.
    6) Ingredients:-
    Dark Chocolate:- 100 gms
    Take a peeler and rub it onto the surface of the chocolate, grate and shavings will be ready. Store it in the refrigerator until further use.
