I'm literally on the bus with my 17 year old RIGHT NOW. We are heading to our own place after being homeless since 1/25/2020. He got suspended today for getting caught with a marijuana one. I felt lead to have him listen to something on the way home (☺) I pulled this up. I haven't listened to this before but the title caught me. Man, this is so right on time. I think my son has been suffering from a broken heart as it relates to his Father. He needed this. I'm sitting next to him listening too....WE needed this. Gratitude. God bless you!

this is the truth. I was always grinding but never at full peace until I told myself I need to forgive my father. I expected an apology but realize for my peace in my mind and sprit I need to do so. As soon as I did the weight lifted off my shoulder.
Them dark places boy ...its the time spent and experiences had in that place ..all the feelings good through bad ..that I call on in my moments of weakness and from time to time to recenter me and keep me ..put me back on track and be reminded of the lessons learned...and reasons I dont wanna fall backwards...only forward..
The time in that dark space was not pointless..use it accordingly to help you keep moving forward.

He did hear him out eventually. But at that moment he couldn't forgive him. Eric forgive him down the line when he had a son himself. So he freed himself. But before he couldn't. Like he said it wasnt important at the time. But it became an emergency when he had a son of his own.

When I was in the hospital two times again I spoke with my Father two times one in July and one in October because I had an Abdominal Bowel Obstruction and a Small Adominal Bowel Obstruction and I will never forget what my Dad told me he told me that I'm not a Man and that he regret sending me a hundred dollars that he sent to my Mom to give to me but I never received the Money from my Mother from my Father

I kinda like his energy. He would get me pumped up 10 years ago in my twenties, but now I find it disturbing how stupid he is. First talking about empowerment and then about changing everything you are. I've been there. It feels so insecure to see all the flaws in myself and trying to brush them all away with self help books. And God never talked to anyone. This sounds like a mixtape of all motivational quotes. "Stop being a victim!" So there are no victims in this world? You can be a victim and grieve, but don't hold onto that grudge forever.
You are focused on the wrong context. If he says something that you feel doesn't apply to your life or you can't learn and find the benefit from it in your own life then it wasn't meant for you. Move your focus to the points he makes that you can learn and gain value from. Dwelling over your insecurities without figuring out how to turn them into securities will not improve your situation.
