open.spotify.com/album/4Dao8y... - Розваги
Posted a fun poll only with songs that had the work ‘rock’ in it and this came on top!! Was a blast coming back to the stones, what’s next for them?! 🙌🏻🔥
Exile On Main Street (isn't cheating as a suggestion, right?😂)
You guys need to do Bang a Gong (Get it On) by T Rex, it's the song that influenced the sound on this one. But as far as Stones go, Jumping Jack Flash if you haven't done it yet. Monkey Man is my personal favorite Stones song tho.
Great song! The next Stones song has to be Star Star. And after that, please do Bitch.
"Stray cat blues", nasty and funky.
@@redarmysoja Stray Cat Blues? Yeah, probably the Stones at their raunchiest. Dope Track!
"Tumblin Dice" If this is A+ or almost an "s", then "Tumblin Dice" is a rating breaker and everything will need reevaluated.
Absolutely. "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" is a good song but maybe a B in the Stones catalog. "Tumblin' Dice" or, my favorite, "Moonlight Mile" are so far ahead that "It's Only..." is just a speck in the rearview mirror.
"Tumblin' Dice" is my first choice too.
Agreed. They should do the Stone's version, then Linda Ronstadt's. Speaking of which, do some Linda Ronstadt.
@@Sotto_ love Linda's live version with Waddy Wachtel playing slide.
@@Sotto_ Yes! We need more women rockers in the mix anyway, and Ronstadt's cover of this song is one of a number of songs she's done that prove her rocker cred.
"MONKEY MAN"
"CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING"
"TUMBLING DICE"
"ANGIE "
"WAITIN ON A FRIEND"
"LADY JANE"
"WILD HORSES"
"EMOTIONAL RESCUE"
"UNDER MY THUMB"
"AS TEARS GO BY"
Monkey Man for sure! Let It Bleed is also awesome! My favorite Stones album!
It's easy to forget the Stones did so many of the all time great rock ballads: Angie, As Tears Go By, Wild Horses, Ruby Tuesday, Till the Next Goodbye
They have already reacted to "Can't You Hear Me Knocking".
I second Monkey Man.
Street fighting Man.
@@larrywilliams1372 Grimiest, dirtiest opening riff in rock.
"Bitch" or "Heartbreaker" by the Stones would be AWESOME!
absolutely -- "Heartbreaker" next
Yes Heartbreaker is one of their best and hardly anyone reacts to it. I second that notion
Literally two of their greatest Bangers ever!
Street Fighting Man too 👍
Guitar on Heartbreaker is incredible
You guys should try some more early Stones like: Under My Thumb, Paint it Black, Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown, Time is on my Side, It's all Over Now, Mothers little Helper. Too many great songs to mention...
Lady Jane
I don’t think the Brian Jones era resonates with them. They didn’t love Satisfaction.
@@sukie584 True, but I'll bet that "Paint It Black" will transcend their prejudice against the early Stones, because: a) they like exotic sounds; b) the melody is, to use their favorite term, "impeccable"; and c) it's one of Jagger's most, to use another A&A preferred term, "charismatic" performances.
Bang on with all those early choices But,.. . Also, worth a go, albeit later in, 'Start me up,' &' Missing you' 👅
The Brian Jones era is my favorite; it's when I fell in love with the Stones. I got a HiFi for Christmas in 1965 and two of my first four LPs were 12X5 and Rolling Stones Now.
To satisfy Alex's love of parenthetical songs, the Stones' "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" is a must. Funky, nasty stuff and tough subject matter.
S-tier level stuff ...
It’s S-tier for me. They should definitely doo doo doo it!
Heartbreaker with ur forty fours tour the love right out my heart. Great Kick Ass Song!
Dancing with Mr. D is the nastiest Stones' riff 😈
@@adifferentkindofanidiot2215 Another excellent song from this album!
Miss You and/or Shattered by the Stones if you want to strut down the street like the king pimp of the hood!
Dan Finkel Shattered is such a great song for making you feel like a badass!🤣
And who doesn't want to do such a strut?
@@Nightcrawlerfive Shufflin' to the beat....
Brown Sugar, Tumblin' Dice, Jumpin' Jack Flash
Don't forget Street Fighting Man 😉
You Can't Always Get What You Want - Stones
“Midnight Rambler”
“Loving Cup”
I think they already did "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and, surprisingly, I don't know that they loved it as much as one might think.
@@chrisdelisle3954 Yeah, it claps It's Only Rock 'N' Roll to me. But they seem to like this one more, which is interesting.
@@chrisdelisle3954 Don’t remember that, I’m gonna see if I can find it.
They did Can't You Hear Me Knocking back on March 2, 2020. They gave it an A+. Raved about it.
@@RenR70 A&A did it when they were in their white-walled-listening-room phase, if that helps.
Brown Sugar, Jumpin Jack Flash, Under My Thumb...take your pick.
Jumpin' Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones is a huge track for them.
Ian you got that right. I'm 70yrs young my favorite song ROCKS OFF so frosty
Was at a party and when this song played, EVERYONE got out on the dance floor. Up to that point, it had been a very uptight party! After the Stones were played, everybody became friends. It was amazing!
It’s their last album before Mick Taylor left, ending their peak era which started with his arrival.
Do the best album ever: EXILE ON MAIN STREET!!!
THE quintessential Rock 'N' Roll Album
yes!
My favorite album of all time. So much love.
Exile On Main street is by far there best LP
Yes yes yes!!!!
Great tune...Stones never disappoint. "ANGIE", "WILD HORSES", "RUBY TUESDAY", just to name a few. Cheers.🥃🥃❤
Any of these for another side of the Stones, my first choice Wild Horses
Have you ever heard Franco Battiato’s version of Ruby Tuesday?? It’s very good.
@@mikeymckinnon5778 Hi Mikey, I'm looking it up!
They've continued to disappoint since exile..then again.. as Brian would say....no expectations...
POS song
Got to do the entire "Exile on Mainstreet" double disc. Peak Rolling Stones period piece. Rockin', raunchy, raw.
One of the top 5 rock* albums of all time. (*doesn’t include the Beatles)
Totally! Mick mfckn taylor
Sticky fingers and Exile back to back. Grab a bottle and rock and roll.
Pure Blues-Rock! Next: "Brown Sugar"
best stones, Let it bleed, sticky fingers , exile listened all the way through. best way to appreciate.
Agreed but add Beggars Banquet.
Sticky Fingers full album, then Beggars Banquet!
"So many Stones songs are my favourite Stones songs and it's because it's the last one I listened to." Now aint that a ringing endorsement?
"You Can't Always Get What You Want " by the Rolling Stones.
Tumblin Dice.......my fave.....always after I listen to it.
Yes, T Dice is my fave, but also love Under my thumb, although sometimes I think it could be cut by just a few seconds,, Still brilliant tho 👍🏻
Mick Jagger wrote this song with future Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood at Ronnie’s house. They recorded it there with Bowie on backing vocals, and Willie Weeks on bass, Kenny Jones on drums. It’s a Stones song with very few actual Stones on the studio version. EDIT: forgot to mention Keith recorded over much of Ronnie’s guitar after Mick showed it to the boys, making Mick & Keith the only (official) Stones on the recording. Shout out to Dan Hartzog for catching that!
omg had no idea. thanks for sharing, very cool insight 👍🏻
yeas...what Scott said...
@@scotts6702 Isn’t it an awesome origin story? It’s one of very few Stones tracks to feature no Charlie, along with the 3 songs their then-producer Jimmy Miller played drums on (You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Happy, Ventilator Blues) and much of 1986’s Dirty Work which featured studio players (he was a junkie at the time and is often missing on that album).
If I recall correctly, Keith erased most of Ronnie’s guitar and they just used the backing track.
@@danhartzog9274 Definitely, sorry I had just woken up and spaced typing that detail. Mick & Keith are the only Stones on this recorded version.
You guys want pure, unadulterated rock and roll? Exile on Main St, the entire album.
Rocks Off!
Pretty much everything from the Jimmy Miller era is balls out rock. Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and of course Exile on Main Street. One of the best sustained periods of excellence from any band ever.
You gotta do Exile on Main Street - Entire Album
You said it all...
A full Stones album is way overdue- Sticky Fingers or Exile On Main Street
YES!!!!
I'd say that Exile take slightly longer to get into and a few more listens to really indulge.. so Sticky fingers would be a great first time reaction video
@@ginnywhat5777 Midnight Rambler by the Stones is SO epic!
@@ginnywhat5777 Yes, absolutely! 👍🏼
@@richieallen441 Agreed. Also, probably easier to dive into a single album first, rather than a double album.
More Stones?? "Midnight Rambler" "Wild Horses" "Dead Flowers" (and I won't forget to put roses on your grave!) "Monkey Man" "You Can't Always Get What You Want"
Midnight Rambler Live on Get Your Ya Ya’s Out!
monkey man is amazing
@@claudiathomas2629 Yes! Live is a must for this song!
@@claudiathomas2629 I love that song!! When I hear it now, all I can think of is all of the young ladies at the Garden that nght in '69, chanting, "Mick! Mick! Mick!" at the start of the song are now grandmothers... "Popped a button on me trousers. Wouldn't want me pants to fall down now, would we?"...
@@jenuwinedisneyphiles4927 The best! Can’t believe how much time has passed. I never grow tired of the Stones!
How about Monkey Man off the album Let it bleed? Great tune.
2000 Light Years From Home and Sympathy For The Devil. Them guys are old and still touring!
Good song. Would have been great if they found a better ending.
Shattered is a MUST!!! also, Jumpin Jack Flash, Miss you, She's my little Rock & Roll, Angie, Paint it Black.
Try Midnight Rambler"...Live from "Get Your Ya Ya's Out"..recorded live at Madison Square Gardens 1969...A REAL BANGER.As a matter of fact anything on that album is great, the Stones best live album ever. They were at their best doing this.
I have to agree this album is one of their best. Played this over and over in the summer of 69.
Midnight Rambler live is so good I can’t even do the studio version anymore. It’s just another level.
Waiting On a Friend is an underrated Stones gem. With the colossal Sonny Rollins on sax! Please check it out. Great song.
It's really good, but also cheesy as hell haha.
@@j.j.4150 hmmm. The video is pretty cheesy. Later era Mick lip-synching anything is bound to be cheesy, although I love the street scenes down there on St. Mark's Place. Not sure I agree that the song is cheesy though.
Mick sits down next to Sonny Rollins on the steps in the early part of the song, while he is waiting for Keith. Just learned that a few weeks ago by reading comments on the official promotional video if it (on youtube. It's a pretty fun youtube if you ask me).
@@sketchesinsand8593 love that detail, except it's Peter Tosh, not Sonny Rollins. Nevertheless, fun detail. Also, this building is featured on Led Zep's Physical Graffiti album cover.
@@burmajones803 Thanks for the correction. Sonny Rollins did play the sax on that song, but you are right -- Mick sat down next to Peter Tosh in the video.
Honky Tonk Woman should be next.
My favorite for sure.....takes me back.....
Yeah, excellent next step.
I think it’s the cowbell!
yes i totally agree
Or Country Honk!
The Rolling Stones are rock and roll personified.
I'm going to keep pushing for Robert Palmer "Sailin' Shoes-Hey Julia-Sneaking sally through the Alley". 9 Minutes of funky studio perfection
@zappafan1970 I’m with you on those 2 Robert Palmer songs & see how hard you’re trying! Hopefully they’ll hit at least one of those songs soon 🔥 😎
This is a GREAT idea.
For Sailing Shoes go back to original by Little Feat, who backed him on this album.
For Sneaking Sally, go back to original by Lee Dorsey.
For From a Whisper to a Scream (on same album) go back to original by Allan Toussaint.
@@kennethbarber438 I agree, that would be awesome. But as far as UA-cam ratings go, A&A need to hit the versions that the masses are familiar with.
@@lumin3370 masses aren't familiar with any of those songs.
You really need to dig deeper into the Stones, aka “the greatest rock and roll band in the world.” You should really just do full album reactions of Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, and Some Girls.
I agree 100%, the greatest Rock n Roll band in history!
Imagine, how buzzed they would be, after one of those albums?
These albums are a MUST!!
For sure. This is a Stones song I skip everytime.
They should do an entire album reaction.
plus it's a double
What a great album. Critics hate it. Don’t know why..
10 Songs, Turn it up
Yeah it's a great one
One of my favs.. forever
My favourite Stones song is "Paint it Black".
Midnight Rambler - at the height of their powers as a live blues rock juggernaut.
Yes, but they have to make sure that they listen to the live version on *Get Yer Ya-Yas Out* instead of the comparatively tame studio version on *Let It Bleed*.
@@gregsager2062 agree totally, hence the reference to LIVE blues rock juggernaut!
LIVE VERSION - Midnight Rambler
In Keef's autobiography he said that anybody could have written any Stones' songs except Midnight Rambler. He said only he and Mick could have written.
For the live version, 1988 in Japan with TINA TURNER. This is what live big stage rock n roll is all about! Way to guys.
"Moonlight Mile" is a Stones classic!
Stones have so many great songs. I like ‘Miss you’. Unique sound of their own. And ‘Emotional Rescue’ just screams The Rolling Stones!
Thanks for that great reaction. Have a great day!
Still missin' out on some live WHO??? My Generation from Live at Leeds is a MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are so right about the lyrics. They are absolutely brilliant and the Stones just don't get enough credit for how brilliant they are lyrically.
Rolling Stones Banger List
1. Monkey Man
2. Bitch
3.Live With Me
4. All Down The Line
5. Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
6. Miss You
7.She's So Cold
8.Shattered
9. She Was Hot
10. Hang Fire
Bowie on backing vocals is just perfection
As for the lyrics of this song. I believe he's commenting on the fact that the audience, mostly teenagers, are looking for special meaning in the music, He's saying, with no apologies, It's only Rock and Roll, but I like it.
I don't like it, I LOVE IT!!! The Rolling Stones, there can't be anybody in the world who doesn't like any of their songs. Makes you proud to be British! 🇬🇧
And the Stones songs are always so different, although unique because of M J vocals, their songs never sound the same Proud to be English, and from the same town in Kent as MJ
I don’t like a single Rolling Stones song. I have zero in my iTunes collection of 17,000 plus songs. They not only do nothing for me but they irritate me where I have to turn them off if they come on. I like them as people. I have no ill feelings about them but their music is to me just unlistenable. For reference, music I love is Beach Boys, BeeGees, John Denver, Prince, Depeche Mode, Erasure, ABBA, dance music (Motiv8 remixes), The Cars, etc.
Fair play to you not liking any Stones etc. That's what makes the world such an interesting place Freedom of speech and the right to express your opinions 👍🏻
@@briencampbell1043 What A Knob. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have a friend who's always disliked them. He's not a metro swisher either.
The song, Bitch, is a great rocker by The Rolling Stones. It's a banger from front to back. Highly recommended.
Their best pure Banger
Next up: Tumblin' Dice. I think their best overall song.
Linda's is better. If they gonna do Tumbling Dice it should be Linda. Next Stones should be Brown Sugar.
@@jameskitts4584 no way you just said that
While not my personal favorite, I think TD is their most representative song. It’s the Stonesiest song in their canon, IMHO-just exemplifies their sound perfectly.
Agree that Linda is better live when it comes to TD, Iv’e heard even the Stones think so. Why not play both, no one will be disappointed.
@@byron8304 the stones play sloppy live on purpose. It’s sort of their thing. Keith never played the same riff the same way twice... I’m sure he did but at least it never seemed that way. The way tumbling dice was recorded originally makes it so special. And to me, a cover can never be better than the original. Not saying Linda’s is bad, just no where near on the level with the stones
"Rockin in the Free World" Neil Young and Crazy Horse.
Wild Horses is gorgeous. Ruby Tuesday for something mid-tempo. When the Whip Comes Down was always my favorite live Stones track. Start Me Up if you want something in this same vein. Miss You for something different. But doesn't matter. Usually can't go wrong with the Stones.
when the whip comes down sooooooo kickin
*If You Can't Rock Me*
Same album. That's the banger. 🔥
Maybe you guys should do an earlier Stones tune like, Paint it Black or Ruby Tuesday and then an older song like, Jumpin jack Flash or Start me up and then compare and contrast.
Jumpin Jack Flash was 1968.
Next up, "Brown Sugar", "Monkey Man" or "Happy" will do the trick.
All great.
"Time Waits for No One" and "Fingerprint File" off that album are even better than "It's Only Rock n Roll."
If You Can’t Rock Me is my favorite on that album.
Fingerprint File is filthy as fuck. I think Mick Jagger plays rhythm guitar on that song and Mick Taylor plays bass. Till the Next Goodbye is also on that album -- one of their best ballads. I love that album.
Time waits for no one may be my favorite Stones song.
No right or wrong when the music's good.
These kids are just cuttin their teeth.
Tackling the all of music in best 25 year period ever?
No small task.✅
" It's Only Rock and Roll..(..)" Great engratiator to the catelogue.
The Definitive Up- For-Days😳 Rambunctious 70s Stones!
A must for any Rolling Stones starter kit.
Save the deep cuts,( great as they are) for later.
They've chosen a pretty wide array of their material .
💋Mick Jagger in perfect sneer form.
Great lyrics ( based on Alice Copper, Marc Bolan and Bowie's shows & material).
Ronnie Woods sound with fellow Faces member Kenny Jones drumming ( playing a Watts style beat) Willy Weeks.bass lines on this-
Keith's all important rhythm➡️ Bowie joining background vocals..
Sounds like the party it was 🎉
Perfect for Stones newbies! 🥇
I love how Time Waits For No One is like the opposing title to Time is On My Side. When you're young you feel time is on your side but as you get older you realize time waits for no one. They should react to both of these great songs.
Or their ‘all down the line’👍👍
My dads favorite band! Always used to tell me “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” growing up and that song means the world to me now that he’s gone. But you guys are so close to 100k subs! Gotta do something big!
🤟🎸🤟 next “Miss You”!!!!!!!!!
Early Stones - Mothers Little Helper.
I can still remember hearing It's All Over Now, l was just a slip of a kid, a grumpy old man now, still love that song though 😉
Paint it black by the Stones is great, if you haven't did it.
one song that, while I will always love the Stones doing it, is also amazingly *even better* with some GREAT covers of it.
Disagree.
There are so many great Stones songs yet to go. "Paint it Black" would be a good choice for your next listen. "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is another classic. "Angie" is a different sound from them than what you have heard so far and is a real showcase for Mick Jagger's as a vocalist -- yet another classic.
Mick Taylor was the best guitarist the Stones ever had, very underrated
Maybe but he doesn't play on this track.
@@WDRhine With Jagger flying back and forth to Nicaragua from Paris constantly for Bianca and Keith at the peak of his drug use, Taylor effectively produced ‘Exile’. By the time ‘It’s Only Rock N Roll’ was in the works I think he tired of the workload.
Agreed!
You wrong. Maybe underrated. Keith rules!
@@rickhamlin5733 "Taylor effectively produced ‘Exile’." That's wildly incorrect.
"Tumblin' Dice" is one of my fave Stones songs, but if you're looking for another song about rock, I'd suggest "Long Live Rock" by the Who. It's a true banger.
Yes! Long Live Rock I need it every night!
The Rolling Stones has such a Huge Catalog to Pick From, so here is a Couple Of Favs. Beast Of Burden, Miss You, You're So Cold, Get Off Of My Cloud, Paint It Black, Start Me Up, Shattered, Undercover Of The Night.
Upvoted for Shattered ...
Early Stones songs next. Paint it Black or Mother's Little Helper.
That’s David Bowie on backing vocals!
Really? 😮 I had no idea
Monkey Man is one of their raw hard rhythm rockers that you'll love!
The Stones' Get yer ya ya's out is one of the best live albums ever recorded-jumpin jack flash, midnight rambler(amazing!) honky tonk woman, street fighting man, sympathy for the devil and chuck berry's little queenie and carol.
Thanks for doing this one, guys. I always kinda blew it off as more Stones derivation - nicking little pieces from other artists - and it kinda is, but listening more closely to the lyrics (Alex nailed it), there's a great mix of self-deprecation and "What do you people want - blood?"
And that goes very much to the heart of the Stones because they worked hard and made some great art, but they never took themselves or the business too seriously. Good job.
You should consider "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones" as a concert film to watch on your Patreon
Slightly obscure but Rip This Joint from Exile is only 2 minutes long but for my money one of their bangiest tracks from nearly 50 years of recording
Closer to sixty years than fifty. LOL!
"Rip This Joint" would be a banger and a half. Just pure, unadulterated RnR at warp speed. Good choice!
No, they HAVE to do the whole Album.
"She's So Cold" was a good one by the Rolling Stones. The expressions on Mick Jagger's face can only be achieved by Mick Jagger 🤪
Like an ice cream cone!
My favourite not mandatory song
Perhaps not the very best song they made, but definitely the most "Rolling Stones-flavored" song they ever recorded! A must inclusion for any Rolling Stones Greatest Hits package.
YES!!!!! THE STONES!!!! They are the ultimate live band - still rockin after all these years too! Keef & Jagger! The glimmer twins... EXCELLENT start to a great Friday! Thanks guys and Happy Valentines Day!
Legendary band with all the goods to back up their status. A must for anyone who appreciates music esp well crafted music. Rock n Roll doesn't get better than this.
Gotta love Keith’s guitar work, he always sounds like he is about to fall down any minute and never does, what riffs
The Stones are very, very deep. I'd hit "Jumpin' Jack Flash" next, but there many others: "Honkey Tonk Women", "Miss You", "Angie", "Start Me Up", "Brown Sugar", and many I probably don't know. They're catalog is so huge. It was only in the last 5 years I heard "Dead Flowers" which is really good. There's a live version where Charlie Watts makes a mistake drumming, and you can see Mick laugh about it while he's singing. But "Dead Flowers" has some of the best guitar work I've heard in any Stones song.
Ruby Tuesday is one of my favorites of theirs. Not a pure banger, but great song.
The choppy feel you referred to was Charlie Watts displacing the kick and snare in places. As for what's next, I have only three words: Honky Tonk Women. Their Masterpiece. And there's a deceptively syncopated cowbell! A MUST!
Mick's vocals. He's just lovin' doing that sexy vocal-fry "I *like* it--ahhhhhh" thing. That's what really makes this song for me.
Fine song but there are 30 better Stones' songs. When you come back to this band... "Moonlight Mile". Not a hit single but an amazement.
I've been waiting (and asking) for "Sister Morphine" for over a year. "Moonlight Mile" would be cool.
Indeed.
@@Drummingvulture Sister Morphine great tune

And stolen from Marc Bolen T Rex
They are probably done with Uriah Heep. Blame the deep cut live stream guy that suggested the wrong deep cut.

Love the Rolling Stones, but I always thought this was one of their weakest hits. Maybe next - Jumping Jack Flash, Bitch, Brown Suger, Miss You, Honky Tonk Woman, Tumbling Dice, Star Star, Paint It Black, Stray Cat Blues. With the Rolling Stones, often their live recordings are better than studio
Brown Sugar.and Jumping Jack Flash were always(and still are)the great show openers to rip things wide open.
Excellent suggestions.. this is quintessential rock and roll. Pure rock from my childhood.
Ooh, hard disagree with that about live Stones. They can be sloppy and totally screw up a song, or a bunch of songs. I’ve seen them many times, and there’s no uniformity. Their stuff is better on record, with a very few exceptions.
Except Midnight Rambler, the live version on Get Yer Ya Ya's Out! is a Masterpiece
@@sarahzentexas Totally agree.. if I only heard live Stones, I'd consider them one of the worst.
I’m requesting another great tune by The Rolling Stones: Miss You
The extended 12" version!
Miss You is great!! Should definitely do this song
I have to tell you guys how amazing you are! Not to creep you out or anything. Haha. I’ve heard all the songs you critique probably thousands of times over my lifetime. I hear the words and the story they tells for the mood they put me I. And the same with the music. You guys pick it the aspects of the song with changes and their meaning or or tones or rhythmical elements. Things I never paid any real attention to. Anyway. Great job. And if you want more Rush, listen to Battle Scar by a band called Max Webster. Canadian band from Toronto Canada like Rush. If you like what you hear, The Party and/or Diamonds Diamonds. Growing up Max Webster/Kim Mitchel had the ultimate outdoor festival kind of vibe.
greatest. song. ever! long-haired dude nails it. love the line: "and do ya think that you're the only girl around?
I bet you think that you're the only woman in town" good treatment of a great song, guys.
"Can't always get what you want" for something different from them.
If you like raw you should listen to Exile on Main street! One of my favorite Stones albums!
Next Stones: Paint It Black/Mother's Little Helper/Under My Thumb
You should do "Time Waits For No One"
An early Stones pessimistic nod to music snobs, yeah. One of our anthems in my youth.
If you guys want to listen to some covers of Stones tunes, check out Devo's most outstanding cover of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. They reimagine that song and make it their own. I absolutely love their version. Other good covers that probably haven't been heard by many people on this channel include The Feelies' version of Paint It Black and Jason & the Scorchers doing 19th Nervous Breakdown. Very much worth the time.
I think that the best cover Jason & the Scorchers did was their take on Dylan's "Absolutely Sweet Marie". They burned the house down on that number. But if you're looking for a great cover that I doubt few on this channel have ever heard, I'd recommend the cover of "Nights in White Satin" done by the Dickies in 1979 (which actually made the UK Top 40), or the really interesting hard rock version of "Eleanor Rigby" done by the Australian band Zoot (featuring a young Rick Springfield on guitar) back in '71. Ray Charles did a wonderful version of "Eleanor Rigby" as well.
@@gregsager2062 agree, that Dylan cover is better than the Stones cover. They play the Stones pretty straight, but I was trying to sneak Jason and crew into the mix. I've not heard those other covers, but I'll have to check them out.
Honky Tonk Woman, Tumbling Dice come to mind - "The Rolling Stones: Live at the Max" is a live concert video (DVD) to not be missed! The Rolling Stones and the Beatles hit it big here in the US around the same time in the early 60's.
