Porto's charm is over 9000 mate! It is cheaper than Lisbon. The nightlife is awesome, the food is great and there's loads to do BUT in Porto you definitely need locals to show you the way. If you just stick to the river area than you will be bored for sure.
Hi Guys, I like your videos. But, It seems you skipped the best of Braga!! Braga is one of the city’s with more young people in Europe. It has a good night life! It’s a Roman city. Colone (Germany) and Braga are the capitals of each opposite side of the Roman Empire. Braga is the best place to eat in Portugal!!!!!! It’s the best place to eat bacalhau! Go to restaurant Arafat, and ask for a bacalhau à Narcisa (original from Braga), or a bacalhau assado. If you go on a Sunday, you can ask for a bolo folhado. The best bolo folhado you can imagine!!!!!!!!! It’s original from Braga. Go also to Restaurant do Sameiro. Ask for papas de sarrabulho, rojões a moda do minho, and vinho verde (original from Minho). Try pudim abade de priscos, original from priscos (Braga). Also Pão de Lo. Seco ou molhado. If you go in Christmas, you can eat rabanadas, sonhos (the real ones), mexidos, leite creme, bolo rei. Go to pastelaria S. João and you can order a big bolo folhado to take home. In Porto you have to try a Francesinha! Go to matosinhos, near Porto. There you can eat lots of fresh fish!!
Diogo Veiga typical! Oh well, we definitely were not bored! ☺️ We didn't like your country. We LOVED it. Thanks for watching our vlog. Make sure to subscribe as we are going on a ton of adventures starting next week ☺️☺️. Cheers Amalie & Joen
If like more Lisbon than Porto. Then you should try New Delhi, India. I think you will fit good there. Big city, many things to do, food all kinds...take care over there.
Hi guys , I’ve been watching you vlogs and I’m really enjoying it. I’ll be going to visit Lisbon with my friend , and maybe you can recommend a good reasonably priced restaurant in Lisbon.
Unfortunately we could only do so much with the two days we had in Porto. It wasn't enough at all, but we are coming back to get revenge :). Thanks for following our vlog. Means a lot! Cheers Amalie & Joen
STAY CLASSY VLOG it's in the same location of the Intercontinental hotel, it's a avenue with beautiful buildings, and it has a McDonald's in the avenue. You can search on maps to see better where it is 😊😊
Thanks Tiago. Unfortunately we have left now to see Salamanca. We will be back again next year so we will most definitely check it out. Thanks for the recommendation. :) Hope you'll stick around here on our channel. Cheers
STAY CLASSY VLOG Ok, next year, there are more things to check out, and I’m always here in Porto, so, if next year you need help, me and my dad could help you 😊👍🏻. Have a good Holiday!!!
Hi! You missed to go to the seaside. Next time take tramway #1 along the riverside and make a long walk along the seaside. And returning you may have lunch or dinner in a restaurant by the river mouth. Enjoy
Just tourists, doing tourist things, in the most touristic way possible - boring. 10:46 min devoid of any valuable information on people, culture and country. Besides, going to Portugal and eating McDonalds and thinking Braga has not to much to offer. How can we take them seriously?
@@joenandamalie yeah but green wine is a whole "sub cult" ahaha. You must try the Soalheiro Alvarinho green wine, around 8/9€ in a Garrafeira Nacional store like the one in Rua da Conceição in Lisbon's downtown ;) Also: Vallado Prima Moscatel Galego. You won't regret it.
Guess that's a subjective thing. In our book 137k is fairly small. Not small, but fairly 😊. We don't speak Portuguese, but we try our best. Our apologies if we come across Spanish 😘...
It did not do Braga justice. Agree - this is one of first vlogs ever where we were still juggling how to use the camera so research of the places we visited was very limited
It's Porto's traditional dish! It is DELICIOUS! If you visit Porto again, make sure you give it a try :) As a Brit living in Porto, this is one of my favourite cities in the World! Subscribed to your channel - loving Portugal's vlogs. :)
STAY CLASSY VLOG you must try... I'm sure that it worth it. It's a typical food from Porto and almost everyone knows it... You can find it everywhere in the city. Ty for reply
Hehe, it's a bit of an unfair battle, as Lisbon is ten times bigger and therefor has so many more things to do. But I think we can agree that both Porto and Lisbon are AMAZING cities. Thanks for watching. Make sure to click that subscribe button (almost 200 subscribers yaay :D) Cheers Amalie & Joen
Lisbon will be the port twice and I do not know if it will be ... Lx has 500 thousand inhabitants, the POrto 300 thousand ... So much difference like that? Great is London, Paris, New York, S Paul, memso Madrid..Don't play
For lx to be 10 times bigger had to be accounted for all the metropolitan area and also so you would also have to include the metropolitan area of Oporto .... Where invented that Lx ten times larger than Porto .. Neither do lisboetas invent so much. ..rsrsrs

Would you recommend porto as a honeymoon destination?
Yeah but Douro is even better ❤️
Oh! You didn't go to the Port wine cellars! That's a shame!
Unfortunately we could only do so much with the two days we had in Porto. It wasn't enough at all, but we are coming back to get revenge :).

I see they are people of culture as well, they found the joy of the green wine...
Wine is our religion! 😅

Braga. Fairly small. Braga. What.
Also, when pronouncing Portuguese names and words : You see Spanish.. Forget it.
Guess that's a subjective thing. In our book 137k is fairly small. Not small, but fairly 😊.

what about guimaraes???? cammon..
You didn't stay time enough to know Porto...
you committed a "crime" by going to porto and not proving francesinha
Bruno Rocha sorry! But what is Francesinha?
