It doesn't play well with Photoshop anymore. I used to love the full X/Y axis scrolling with my right index but now it literally just continually keeps stuttering / infinite scrolling / scroll continuing long after i let it go / scrolling while i'm clicking / etc. I can't believe Apple still stands by this product, much less charges $80 for it
I agree 100%. I'm a new mac user and I was absolutely dumbfounded when this thing got home. I'll keep using the trackpad or get a non-mac mouse. What an absolute failure.
🍎 I'm here in 2023 lamenting the fact that I have an expensive desk model of a Magic Mouse that I use sometimes to remind me of what my parents went through after going up hill in the snow each way to school. Couldn't agree with you more.
🍎 I agree. For daily use it’s fine, but the moment you want to use it for a game or specialty software that uses more input from the mouse, it becomes obvious that it’s useless in those regards. It does get uncomfortable after long sessions too.
I just opened mine, after buying my first MacBook Pro.... and Apple computer ever. I cannot believe how terrible a mouse it is. I am in shock!!! I told the salesperson I needed to use a mouse similar to the standard ones out there - namely one that enables VERY QUICK work, as I am on the computer 8 hours or more a day. Plus, it is immensely stupid, as you put it so well, that the charging cannot be accomplished while the mouse is in use. I will "try" to demand my money back. Wish me luck ;)
🍎Encountered one of these in the wild for the 2nd time recently and I thought it was funny that both clients had a Logitech mouse on a mousepad with the magic mouse pushed off to the side because they hated it. I'd honestly rather sit on a magic mouse and scoot around on the floor for the novelty versus trying to actually use it with my hand. Or maybe I'd jam a USB cable into a bar of soap so I have something to hold onto while I used a trackpad with my feet. Don't get me wrong, the magic mouse is a great idea on paper, but it's low profile makes it an even better idea underneath the paper, so you're less prone to accidentally using it.

My new company gave me a magic mouse and I had never used one. I thought maybe I wasn't using it properly because everything about it is inferior to my Logitech mouse. I'm sad to learn that it's just a poorly designed product and has been for many years.
I just bought one today and regret it. All apple needs to do is making it bigger. It's so uncomfortable
I think it's kinda cool that most serious Mac people these days use non Mac keyboards and mice, so they have the same advantages as their PC brethren.

🍎I can’t get a single grasp of understanding why people go crazy over this… it looks dumb and feels dumb…. Same for magic keyboard… most uncomfortable overpriced products ever. I dislike iPhone 13 as well. All that freaking fanbois and girls hype over nothing.
For the money I spent I had high expectations and their claims that it was far more superior than android were complete rubbish. The iPhone is not a bad phone it has really good features and overall experience however it does not meet any expectations of mine for their prices. Would never ever in my life buy their product again.
Edit: I apologise, Mac laptops are worth it. But that’s it 😅

This absolute crap-mouse is forcing u to move it using only 2 fingers; cause otherwise either you'll scroll top-bottom, or left-right; you can never trust this device. you just can't put your hand properly on it and just use it in a relaxed manner like u do with a cheap Chinese no-name mouse which is much more useful than this absolute crap device. apple should be ashamed of this.

100 million years from now perhaps we’ll only have 2 or 3 digits of fingers for each hand for this absolute crap of a mouse to function properly
i have a 15 years old mouse a 5$ one. Today some friend had one thrown in a box and i was like. Dude I need a mouse! He was more then happy to let me have it. I was well exited to have a better mouse then my one who does double clicks by itself and wheel is not working, from playing Rust too much. I am loading my game and trying to kill someone and end up not been able to shoot or to use the scope. You cannot play games with this rubbish mouse:)) you cant scope with right click and then shoot with left click. once you hold rite click the left click is not kicking. And then I heard you saying that this should be a iligal product for being so stupidly designed and against common sense. Indeed mate. I feel like i want to sue them for realising such a retarded product. I am taking in consideration to put it in a normal mouse and make it with separated buttons. Other wise i may aswell throw it,.

I'm a weirdo that likes the Magic Mouse. Primarily 2 reasons. #1 - scroll in any direction. It's just more natural using the touch surface to scroll than a wheel and it's not limited to one direction. I don't have to use my thumb. #2 portability - as a working videographer/producer that travels via plane, my space is extremely limited and I'm packed to the gills with gear already. The magic mouse slips in anywhere. That being said I might try the Logitech for my workstation and see how I like it.
I used a lot of mouses for broadcast productions and the MM is by far my preferred of all. But I don’t feel the need to do a bashing video of any others. Or maybe you’re sponsored by MS to do so.
