This video happens earlier in their story, but I'm only seeing it now after I've already seen most of the later parts where the emperor has changed, turned into a lustful man and keeps on disappointing her. This video makes them both seem so innocent and makes it sadder to see how they ended up.
He never stopped loving her, he just lost his ability to show her and let the voices of others cloud his mind. This handkerchief she gave him, he kept that to his dying day. You see it again in later episodes. He died mourning her and alone, he refused to remarry and have a new empress.
@@amberthemagnificent7259 yes i agree. ppl change over time and he made mistakes. but he did offer her to be Wang Hou again (giving her the seal again) after she cut her hair and even wanted to put back their portrait which Ruyi cut. then as he said in ending here, he did as she asked and later fulfilled her wish of not burying her with him, crying at their old meeting place. it's a sad ending actually how he took her for granted.... Even Lady Wei became Ling Wang Gui Fei, not the 3rd Wang Hou
