A big warm welcome to this new ARK series folks! I'm finally back HOME on ARK Survival Evolved. I don't care that this game no longer gets official updates, I absolutely adore this game! I've got a lot to catch up with in the form of all the official maps, and who knows, maybe eventually even modded maps, so let's kick off with the OG map: The Island! Tbh I’m really not sure why they needed to go and do a whole remake of the game… they should have just continued developing ASE and give ASE an unreal engine 5 upgrade but toned down a bit. I think everyone would have been very satisfied with that
Liked and subbed. I don't play ASA my computer couldn't handle it, but ASE is a different story. I really like this game and yes I know ASA is ASE in UE5 but idc about that.
ARK and you playing ARK has a special place in my heart for me because it's what introduced me to it. I used to beg my dad to let me eat my tea in my bedroom because i was so intrigued by you playing it. I immediatley recall the therizinosaurus that wiped your tames and base clean where you spawned in the video. After watching your first ARK playthrough I really wanted to play it myself but with no means to play it. My parents got me an Xbox 1 S and a copy of the game. 7 years later I know have well over 1000 hours on the game 😆. So yes, I WILL be watching this series all throughout and am excited for what comes next! (Plus this was a good birthday surprise for after college). Thank you for your dedication and comitment Python and for years of enterrtainment for myself and many others :)
A recommendation is that you install a mod called ark additions. It’s a mod which got officially added into ark survival ascended. It adds a small handful of creatures to the game. It’s just a way to give a closer experience to ascended But you don’t have to if you don’t wanna
I honestly can't wait to see where the series goes. I'd love to see you conquer the other Story Arks seeing how you'll react to the new biomes, creatures and bosses!
Great start, and I love the starter base. Nice and simple. And the great thing is, it can always be expanded with front porches and stuff whenever you feel like. 🎉
Also regarding maps, I'd say the story maps should be one continuous chain, and the other maps can just be done whenever you like! They all offer their own fun. I tend to do the custom arks after the story ones myself, still allows me to get all boss kills on one character, but also lets me do the story in the right order.
Can’t wait to see u take down Overseer! U have always been my favourite Ark UA-camr and I love that u do regular style lets plays. Keep it up, and remember u have so much support from all of us 🩵

Hey man, just want to say I've been watching your videos for years. Please continue to do whatever you would like to do and remember to take care of yourself.
Ascended on PS5 has been a much better experience especially with the use of console commands to tweak settings, for me at least, so I’m sorry it’s such a poor experience on PC. But glad you’re playing what you’ll enjoy much better! You built your starting base right where I have a giant breeding structure for rexes attached to a giant greenhouse on the cliffside and it has stairs leading down to a giant house suspended above the water with a porch that has ladders to where I keep my water creatures housed. Ascended has made the building slightly easier but it’s still taken ages lol excited for the upcoming videos man!
After the problems with ASA, and hearing about you switching back to ASE, good to see you back. Only advice is build your crafting, for the most part, in a separate building. Keep some in main, but just enough for aesthetics and emergency. Nice thing about S+ stuff, you can, for the most part put it down and pick up later.
Hey new viewer here the first video I ever got from you was the video where you left ASA (and for good reason) I still play ASE as well. My biggest reason, I don't want to leave my Jerboa Noodles that I tamed and kept with me on all the maps. Seeing someone playing ASE again purely from the sheer joy of it really makes me happy to see! Lots of fun and lots of luck to you and your series, I may stick along to watch as well see how your content looks, at least you do it out of fun, that's the most important thing. Ps. Just few minutes into the video and this is the order I often play it in, mixing it up between story maps and non-story maps in order of release. @@Kitereh-G tbh I didn't have a problem with that but I can understand the frustration. At least they didn't charge 80€ for it like every other unfinished remasters and it was just 35€ on launch day (I think). Such a shame Snail Game's pocketed all the money and they had to charge for ASA instead of it being a free upgrade tho. Gameplay wise it's way better for me and my mates since it runs better than ASE on console, the new content is decent and the QoL is appreciated. The game still needs a lot of work tho I can't disagree with that.
Hey python, you might also consider Arkitect structures. Really good mod. The building pieces fill in vanilla gaps and add new matching pieces and look amazing.
The Center is like Ragnarock Crystal Isles and Fjordor, expansion maps. Scorched Earth is the first story expansion then there is Abberation followed by Extinction and Genesis being the last. I've got nearly 2000 hours in this game since mid 2015 when i got it in early access, my only gripe is long load in times but the game runs and looks amazing even today.
I mean honestly, most of the QoL stuff in Ascended can simply be added to Evolved via mods. Aside from that, not much is different really! If you prefer a smoother gaming experience, Evolved is the one I'd definitely recommend 🙂
Ascended is going to have more maps than evolved, has more dinos and content too. If u have a good console/PC then ascended runs with outstanding graphics compared to evolved. It also has console mods whereas ASE only does PC mods.
Well lets see if you finish this series of ark lol make at least one completed ark series in an all serious note keep up the good work python I dont plan on stopping watching you any time soon

Python ive been a huge fan and watched almost every video!! I was wondering why you rarely do other ark maps like abberation! you played the island a couple times but it would be so cool to see abberation or ragnorak map playthough! Nonetheless i love your playthroughs and happy nonetheless. Wish you the best!
I plan to eventually! Gotta learn to walk before trying to run. Once I finally beat The Island for the first time, then I'll venture out into other maps 🙂

Nahhhhhh, this will be a fresh start. It'll take a lil bit to get back up to the point where we were at in the Ascended series but who knows, there might be some differences in how I go about things! 🙂

I actually haven't, no, never really been all that interested in that side of things! If I can't take down dinos and bosses myself, there's no way I'd ever be able to take other more experienced ARK players/tribes down, haha 😅
I own a steam deck and I have downloaded ascendant and it played so horribly on it and now I’m going to wait for my refund and get evolved because it’s compatible with the steam deck and descendent is not compatible. It was a very letdown and disappointment for me because I love dinosaurs. Huge fan.

Did you watch the video where he explained why? He's not just stopping and starting series whenever he feels like it, infact he feels bad about it and didn't really want to do it, but I understand why you'd be a bit annoyed.
I understand the scepticism, truly I do. I did, however, explain in my recent "I have a problem..." video why I canned the Ascended series though... - I've got a good feeling about this one personally. I really do feel like I'm back home now 🙂
I'm on PS5 I can't leave a map on evolved without the game crashing. ASE I can't breed Dino's or use radial menus. so I've deleted both from my console's

I recommend a mod called dino storage, it adds WAY better and more convenient cryopods.

Ascend is really good on console honestly, but yeah for now it still sucks for PC players.

Ascended has more Dino is getting more maps and for me runs well on a ps5 you can get mods very easily and it gets updated

No plans on any modded maps for a while. I wanna get through all the vanilla maps first... that'll keep me going probably for years yet, hah 🙂

add a politician to the game that you give all your materials to and then it can be a good game.
