I prefer using my 576 DT Wolftone Draw over Le Monarque(cause I despise it), I absolutely love using bows but what I usually pair with it is a Heritage with high handling. I’d say the caveat bow users suffer from are the fact one has to figure out to prioritize high damage for close quarters(shotgun) or prioritize being able to handle close to medium range engagements(sidearms and handcannons).
Same. My 576 Wolftone has Impulse Amplifier and Harmony. I pair with Crimson so when I get a kill I heal and my next arrow does more damage (one shot with both harmony and high energy fire). Perfect for when you're outnumbered. When you kill one, they assume you're weak and will push as you heal from the crimson kill. Plus crimson reloads on precision kills
I'd say Monarque is till the king (its in the name after all) for any competitive scenario. The poison is amazing. The added damage without having to proc a damage perk is very useful. The lightweight frame with the precision frame damage profile is spectacular. The drawtime is a decent chunk slower, and no Icarus Grip, is the only thing letting the legendary bows stay in the same league.
Only major downside of using a bow: you miss out on a one hit kill special. I mean, sure you could run a sniper or shotgun, but then you don’t really have a primary to duel with.

Furthering my first comment about Le Monarque is my favorite weapon in Destiny 2, Bows in general are my favorite way to play the game. PVE, and PvP I use them for everything. Whether you're using a Legendary w/ Quick Access Sling and a exotic HC or going with Le Monarque and a Legendary Handcannon the time to kill is absolutely unparalleled. But there are different ways to play a bow. Either quick swapping or bow main or even bow midrange. Quick swapping is arguably the best, especially against uncoordinated teams. But when playing against smart opponents or in Trials etc. The midrange game is absolutely phenomenal. Pair a legendary bow such as Point of the Stag, or Wolftone with a Handcannon like Crimson, Hawkmoon or Ace and you'll have a high burst DPS at all ranges while specialized in that midrange fluctuating engagements. Challenge snipers with the bow and anything else in Scout / Pulse range. Use your quick swapping for rushing apes and fusions, and lastly utilize the exotic Handcannon of choice for close engagements/midrange control. I especially love Bow/Crimson builds. High DPS, high burst, health regen, ammo economy, flinch machine, excellent range across all playing fields and very easy to challenge just about any other weapon in the game. Le Monarque on middle tree Gunslinger procs the constant dodge spam when hitting its poison arrows. That coupled with Wormhusk makes for absurd health regen and sustainability. Other than that have fun, bows are the best weapons in Destiny and the most fun in my opinion. But you really have to commit to the bow life.

If you ask me, Monarque is really annoying, but it only becomes a true problem when used with quickswapping. IMO, any gun that can do 100+ damage in a single shot on any range should be unable to benefit or be combined with quick switching of any variety. That means bows and GLs especially.
A strat ny friends and I enjoy is 2 monarchs and one lumina. Lumina is clean up master and with the catalyst he gets 2 buffs. Conveniently enough to buff both bows with enough to one shot anyone…
Maaaad downplaying the role a quickdraw kinetic hand cannon plays in this working. Mained Monarque since Black Armory on titan and without the mobility to ezpz dip out of failed engagements and the hunter jump/ icarus dash to approach well from the air (and disengage) it's actually a pretty harsh playstyle. You have to outposition like 9/10 times to win with it in trials (again, this is a titan-specific problem).
Tbh for pvp if you are quick swapping to HC, I think Wolftone Draw with impulse/harmony and quick access sling might actually be slightly better than LM since harmony can lead to 1 taps on the bow after a HC cleanup leading to some nasty kill chains.
And yes, absolutely CWL works with bows. You want all the typical CWL mods so make sure you have High Energy Fire on as well (not that I need to tell you that lol) but you will one tap with bows when charged appropriately.
You'll 1 tap with Le Monarque. Not sure about wish ender. But no other bow without also adding another damage perk will 1 tap a guardian (unless there is some low light shenanigans, or the bow is leviathan's breathe...)
@@tacoboy2218 yeah that's why I mentioned the legendary bows needing a charged with light and another damage perk to 1 tap (or swash x5 on the biting winds or ramp X3 on the accrued redemption).
Le Monarque is good but I prefer a kinetic legendary bow with explosive head and quick access sling and pairing that with Sunshot or pali. But a bow and a HC dexterity on the arms is great. I find oath keepers kinda pointless but knucklehead radar... It's toxic. I love this loadout personally but I do swap to a shotgun depending on the map. I also sometimes run this with contingency plan and that's a lot of fun as well. I am glad bows are getting love though
I only use Monarque as a latch ditch effort. Or when im done getting killed by meta weapons in every single gamemode every single game. Its the Dead Mans Tale hard counter, and GOD i hate being killed by that.
To be fair, this is no different to using Biting Winds w Erianas. Difference in that set up, you can Quick Sling the bow, for even faster clean up taps from EV
Nice vid Wallah. This is basically my build when I have to sweat. Personally I'm partial to the 140s for the swap. Throw on explosive payload so they can kinda function if you get pushed too aggressively. It's a hell of a build.
People get irrationally heated whenever this bow comes up, it's hilarious. A good sniper user will make it extremely difficult to do well though, but the average player won't have a good time Edit: also yeah cwl does 1 tap all resilience with lemon
I have a friend I always 1v1 who loves this thing. Bite of the fox and igneous hammer or multimach are the only weapons that I consistently out duel the lemon with. Thing is crazy
yes a good sniper, but a good bow user does not exist because of how much aim assist they have. Bows probably are the least skilled weapon in the game.
@@jaydenharrison1436 mmmm no. It is not easy to do well with a bow. That high aim assist also has the slowest ttk in the game. By this logic, one is never skilled with handcannons because they have high aim assist AND competitive ttk.
Wallah, once you don't need the crutch of oathkeepers to time the poison arrows, Shinobu's vow with hand cannon handling mods paired with a quickdraw snapshot hand cannon make you practically unstopable. Skip grenades are hella clucth to chase down enemies who do not want to re-peek you after being poisoned.
what you can do instead is a legendary bow with quick access sling and a legendary 120 HC with quickdraw, the swap speed is already the fastest speed you can get without using any armor mods or exotics. This means you can use any exotic heavy, and any exotic armor build you want.
I LOVE Le Monarch but I get the hate. I run Stasis Hunter w/ Oathkeepers and i'm grinding for a Wellspring/Surplus Moon Hand Cannon so when I secure a kill w/it it gives me ability energy. The second shuriken (as long as I don't spam them) helps me maintain at least two stacks of surplus even if I burn dodge and my grenade.

@@puthenveetilnoel Wishender will at certain resilience levels
@@puthenveetilnoel wolf tone can one tap with harmony or adagio plus CwL and biting winds can 1 tap with swash x5
@@tacoboy2218 yeah that's why I mentioned the legendary bows needing a charged with light and another damage perk to 1 tap (or swash x5 on the biting winds or ramp X3 on the accrued redemption).
@@infernon good to know!
The burp at the end got me lolol
ayo wallah try out the garden bow w/ explosive head & QuickDraw, thing is nasty and you can run pally and a buncha different energy slot guns with it
Who would be for no exotic trails? Or just a no exotic playlist
Le monarque would be cool with a catalyst like a pseudo rampage that increases poison damage with consecutive precision hits
Would be cool to watch this loadout in flawless pool trials or a sweaty scrim!
Saw that same exact combo on crucible... said to myself with youtuber is showing this on today and wallah here it is...
It will never get old hearing:
hey
what's goin on guys
wallah here
What’s good wallah, just started watching you luv the videos
I've been waiting for the day you used my favorite weapon. I'm still waiting for the catalyst
I want the cat to give either archers tempo(or something similar) or something with hip-fire improvements then this bow will truly be unstoppable
LeMon and Thorn both
The catalyst will be added when the go slow update comes
A catalyst for one of the most annoying and easy to use weapons in pvp? uh.. okay
@@REPHLEX94 FINE gimme a catalyst for Jotunn then 🙄
le monarque also is a lightweight bow, boosting your movement speed
It’s a precision
@@nicholasjuliano2839 which is crazy why it has the lightweight buff
I only use Monarque as a latch ditch effort. Or when im done getting killed by meta weapons in every single gamemode every single game. Its the Dead Mans Tale hard counter, and GOD i hate being killed by that.
To be fair, this is no different to using Biting Winds w Erianas. Difference in that set up, you can Quick Sling the bow, for even faster clean up taps from EV
Yup at that's all the player Eriana's Vow uses, 3.0 KD in trials and overall
I hate the lemon, all my homies hate the lemon 😤
Nice vid Wallah. This is basically my build when I have to sweat. Personally I'm partial to the 140s for the swap. Throw on explosive payload so they can kinda function if you get pushed too aggressively. It's a hell of a build.
You think that's broken. Use it with middle tree gunslinger and wormhusk.
The burn from le monarch works with the dodge regen from burning targets.
People get irrationally heated whenever this bow comes up, it's hilarious. A good sniper user will make it extremely difficult to do well though, but the average player won't have a good time
Edit: also yeah cwl does 1 tap all resilience with lemon
I have a friend I always 1v1 who loves this thing. Bite of the fox and igneous hammer or multimach are the only weapons that I consistently out duel the lemon with. Thing is crazy
It’s not irrational if it’s annoying
yes a good sniper, but a good bow user does not exist because of how much aim assist they have.
Fuck Bows. On any skill level
I am still trying to figure out how to use bows in PVP.
This is the exact setup I use when people start to piss me off, minus the oathkeepers 😂
Steady hand, le monarque, and reeds regret
I wish I had help to finish this exotic quest. Don’t even know if it the area where I have to get it has been sunset or not. 😞
I’ve known a few people that use lemonarq, all of them perform 3x worse when they don’t use it lol
Wheres the sniper scope AR vid?
I love when you’re genuinely shocked when people push you’re like “ your insane for pushing DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!”
Must take a bit of practic e to shoot and sawap when i sawap to a differnt wepon it's usually MT
Use it with peacekeepers and multi mach. Even nastier if the smg has kill clip since you always use it for clean up.
Dude this guy is cracked tf are those shots in the first 2 minutes
I only put this thing on when I match other pals in crucible or in trials. It pisses them off so much but I love it
I LOVE Le Monarch but I get the hate.
Ay Wallah, you should do a vid on ACD/O Feedback Fence and middle tree striker, it seems like I'm always being nuked from orbit by it
I wish oathkeeper had another effect of some sort along with infinite draw, compared to other exotics its mildly underwhelming
Its actually useless to any experienced bow player
@@destinyhunter1926 holding a full charge after 2 years+ of resetting the charge feels very strange
@@m3m3god thats exactly why its useless
Oops I have abused this thing in momentum control soooo much… like 800 kills in just momentum much
Ok this in the hands of someone with good skips or annoying arc buddies is sooooo annoying to deal with. Luckily most are potatoes who don’t know what they are doing but man when you run into someone that has a brain . . it’s pretty scary.
What key bind do you use to switch weapons?
This is basically the Halo noob combo except its with a bow and not the plasma pistol.
That poor stormcaller super in the first part!
