Yes! Marvel!! That’s a great run, the views into the valley below! May need to update this video next season 😉. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

For me, for flaine, 1. Diamond noir 2. Faust 3. Diablotin

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Excellent choices. Faust is a favourite of mine on a board. There’s also a clip of me in an earlier video (Deepest Powder - 2017 1:21 ) of me straight lining the bottom of the Diablotin on a board after a crazy dump of snow. Never tried the Diamond Noir, Maria has never let me. Is it that bad?!

Grid video...we are going as a family of 5 as first time skiers in 4 days time...with a concern on snowfall, would you advise buying ski pass ahead for each day irrespective of whether bad weather or restricted snow, or advise buying tickets daily so if poor weather then not wasted £250 each day?? Will be trying all the recommended blues hopefully

Thanks Mark. if you're staying in Flaine itself the main area blues should still be ok. I shot this in April last year and even with the milder conditions the pistes were well maintained. If you save some money with a multi day pass, perhaps just stick to the flaine area if that's cheaper still. hope that helps and that you have a great trip regardless :). can also recommend Le white pub, great food and beer

      Many thanks for coming back.
Did you manage to get out there again this year?

Hi Mike! I've watched all your videos about Flaine, it looks amazing! I am considering going to Flaine this winter ... I have a question for you. no doubt the lops are amazing but how about apres ski and night out? Are there good bars/pubs in Flaine? This trip will be just the lads and I need to choose a resort that is not just a family resort. I can go to Flaine with the wife and kids next winter, if that's the case :-). Cheers

Hey Alexandre, thank you!! Flaine has a few bars but isn’t anything like a Morzine or a Chamonix. So definitely more of a family resort. Le white pub was a decent bar with good food and selection of ales, big screens tvs and an Irish bar sort of theme and there are others dotted around. Hope that’s helpful 👍🏼

You'll find better nightlife, bars and restaurants in the village of Samoëns (in the same ski area as Flaine).

      Hi Mike.
My name is Vasco, and i'm from Portugal.
I've been watching your videos on UA-cam 👌👏
I'm planning for a little ski trip to the French Alps.
Maybe two days in La Plagne/Les Arcs; one day in Flaine, and a final day in Morzine.
Hope you could give me a few tips on where to stay (cheap and close to the ski lifts), and how to move arround between the different areas of the resorts.
If you know all the resorts i mentioned, would appreciate tips on all off them.
If not, at least Flaine i think you know very well 😉
Where should i book my stay close to Flaine?
If i stay in Les Carroz, is it easy to ski to Flaine and back?
Or do you think it's better to stay in Flaine?
I would like to cover the whole area in a day (Villages and Flaine).
Hope you can find the time to help me 🤞🙏
Thank you for your time and pacience 😉
      Best regards,
      Vasco

Thanks Mike, they were a good choice as they were stable and had to come back down Tourmaline everytime I was coming back to Flaine where I was staying.
Think my favourite was the red slope Almandine

and the red slope called Jade (although I did find this one steeper than first expected!)

I also liked the blue slope called Doina in Morillon despite the obstacle part way down!
