I have nothing but my utmost respect for the work you have done on this car. I have always loved the style of this vehicle and I must say the dedication you guys have presented in the details are wonderful!
WOW! Most cars that are this bad in the US go to the scrap yard and then the crusher. This is amazing! Great job! I hope you win some awards at a car show. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I had to repair my 72 Pre-L. Zero experience with bodywork. I was involve with electronic cabinet chassis fabrication so that was a start. This included using pan and brakes I bought from HF. Luckily, my rust issues were not as intense as this poor car. I did repair the outer door valence panels and the front radiator cross member as well as using a new metal back my friend fabricated for me. It rook me two and a half years of restoration to get my car back into shape. I thought my Pantera was bad but yours takes the cake. Great job!
Beautiful car and a great job bringing this car back. I also have a Corsa red Pre L that after 24 long years of ownership finally is sorted and a pleasure to drive. I barely drove it for 18 years there were so many issues that I gave up. About 7 years ago I decided either it was going to be a car I looked forward to driving rather than resented trying or I was going to get rid of it. It spent four years in restoration/modification, and I finally now drive it every weekend, and it's thrilling. Enjoy yours, they're special cars and always a thrill to drive.
I use to photograph a fabricator's rebuilds like this one. I got to know pretty well what good work was and what it wasn't. This is just superb. Great job bro.
I am watching this again and an amazing repair job - real talent involved - HA - and this is also why I purchased a late model PANTERA - the early ones can easily run into this type of rust.
Whew - this looks painfully familiar. I am just finishing a '72 Pantera. Yours had worse rust than mine, but still a lot of the same areas were affected. Mine had some accident damage also. I am not a pro, and put in an hour here and a day there, and it has taken 12 years start to finish. Well done man - respect your skills and perseverance !!
Yes but the owner had it since before they went up in price so it was worth it for him to get it done, I think he also had spare parts from another build to keep the costs down so overall it was worth it.
HA - "...good as a new one.." --- I beg to differ - I am sure that this one is now better than the day it left the factory. The new cars were somewhat notorious for their poor workmanship and 'FREE' rust was often included. HA - as the old saying goes - Paint hides all - that is - until the bubble start to 'burst' and the 'FREE' rust becomes visible. Well done work. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA..
Dang man awesome job!!!
Way to go dude !! You are the Pantera specialist !! The car looks awesome !!

Fantastic work! Genius!
Great work
Great work! You really saved this car. I wonder how much this would've cost if you paid someone.
Someone paid him!
That was amazing, the bill must have been HUGE!

For F sake. My man you are a master surgeon. How? Just how do you get everything back to spec? Awe inspiring.
First you brace the body so it doesn't flex out of shape. Then focus on the frame of the car, repair that then sheet metal is third.

You pretty much use the car for reference points for all the new panels
