    Pierre randomly decides to play catch by himself multiple times in this video with thousands of dollars of equipment. I know that gives anxiety to many people but I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for the fun video Pierre.

    After watching your video trying the 14, 35, and 85mm I tried it myself. You were absolutely right! The 14 is so tough to get good composition. But it looks like you're much more comfortable with it on this video! I enjoy your honest reviews, they motivate me to try new lenses and shoot more street photography!

    非常真实的街拍,这一集很喜欢。没有过多的过场剪切,突出了因为觉得LED屏幕色彩可能有偏差而贴近取景器“检查照片”、一些不那么出色但能体现拍摄者当时的构思的part、使用17mm镜头在人流环境复杂的场景拍摄的经验。 非常好,继续加油。

    I drove from Charleston, SC to get those same shots. I timed it so I got there around 4 am so i could get everything light up and catch the sunrise. Tudor City Bridge was the main shot I wanted, and it turned out good, Grand Central / Pershing Square didnt turn out so well, I drove like 22 hours almost straight for 1 keeper.

    C’est marrant, plein de photos me paraissent banales à souhait avec l’ultra grand angle, par contre dès que tu passes au 70-200mm, là ça raconte quelque chose ! C’est fou comment je m’y retrouve carrément plus avec les optiques téléphotos

    • @ezekiel6729
      @ezekiel6729 3 роки тому +1

      Me suis dis la même chose. Le 14mm n'est vraiment pas pour moi, j'ai l'impression de voir des photos faites aux smartphones que tout le monde post et qui n'ont aucun intérêt (pour moi hein) et des qu'on passe sur du 70-200 la on commence à des intentions et des situations qui se dégagent. Pour moi Pierre est beaucoup plus doué avec ce matériel ou au moins ses 35mm et 50mm

    • @romainprovost7164
      @romainprovost7164 3 роки тому

      @@ezekiel6729 Je suis totalement d’accord avec toi. On dirait effectivement des photos prises au smartphone par n’importe qui …
      L’ultra grand angle peut avoir un intérêt sur certaines photos (ex : Quand il lève son objectif et photographie les 2 façades d’un building qui se font face, là je trouve que c’est artistique) mais dès qu’il s’agit de prendre une photo à hauteur d’homme, ça ne le fait pas du tout.
      Pour moi l’ultra grand angle, c’est nécessaire pour de la photo immobilière / en paysage, mais absolument pas en street photographie. Tu englobes trop d’éléments parasites dans une scène de rue, tu ne sais absolument pas quoi regarder. C’est vraiment pas fou.
      Ou alors ça peut avoir un intérêt artistique mais il faut absolument réfléchir à la composition, à la scène … Or Pierre shoote tous les 20m… (je ne lui jette pas la pierre ^^, c’est ce que font tous les adeptes du genre de la street photo).
      J’ai du mal avec cette idée que l’on puisse prendre tout et n’importe quoi sur le moment et l’on verra bien si ça fait une bonne photo …

    • @mapakern3979
      @mapakern3979 3 роки тому +1

      Pareil pour moi. Mais en vrai, je n'ai pas vu l'intérêt pour la plupart des photos dans cette vidéo. La composition des scènes est plutôt faible à mon avis, et c'est vrai que c'est encore plus clair avec l'ultra grand angle où le sujet semble vraiment secondaire par rapport à la perspective. Mais ça me semble aussi plutôt ennuyeux.

    How do you hold still enough for the shutter speed to stay so low in some of these low light shots

    • @MinutesWithMates
      @MinutesWithMates Рік тому

      It would depend on a few things. First of all, he’s using a Sony camera, well known for both great in-body stabilisation and for excellent low light mastery due to its incredibly low-noise at high ISO. Second, you always set your shutter speed according to your focal length. A 16mm lens can be shot handheld at 1/16 or faster. A 500mm lens must be at 1/500 or faster for handheld. The lenses he’s using also look like they have a wide constant aperture (which he doesn’t always shoot at). Thirdly, if he post processes in something like Adobe Lightroom Classic, the AI capabilities of the program to remove any noise without losing too much clarity are now out of this world. All this makes low light handheld photography a breeze.
