כך אומר ה' ה' אשר ברא והשתרע על השמים, פרש את הארץ ביבוליה, נתן עליה נשימה מרעננת לבני אדם להולכים בה.
ישעיהו 42:6
אני ה' קראתי לך בצדק, אחזתי בידך ויצרתי אותך, כרתי אותך ברית לבני אדם, אור לגויים.
ישעיהו 42:7
לפקוח את עיני העיוורים, לשחרר שבויים מהכלא, את אלה שחיים בחושך מהכלא.

קנה רצוץ לא ישבור ופשתה כהה לא יכבנה;
לאמת יוציא משפט.

עד ישים בארץ משפט, ולתורתו איים (גויים) ייחלו".

והיה באחרית הימים נכון יהיה הר בית יהוה בראש ההרים ונשא מגבעות ונהרו אליו כל הגוים

ושפט בין הגוים והוכיח לעמים רבים וכתתו חרבותם לאתים וחניתותיהם למזמרות לא ישא גוי אל גוי חרב ולא ילמדו עוד מלחמה
