The way Connor's voice shakes when he softly says "We have earned the right to live" brings me to tears. It's so simple, yet says so much. After everything he's been through and all the emotions he tried to block out for so long, you can hear in his voice -- the sentence is so heartfelt and comes from the depths of his soul. It's obvious by his tone, the growth, and how much he's changed.

@@Speclizer Its still amazing tho.. I dont know how modding of game is far away. Maybe there is still some scripts left for this scene? So maybe something could be activated..
i think they deleted it because it won't look normal for connor to give this speech. considering markus lacks of emotions, connor is even less emotional. i heard that developers had an idea of making kara giving speech too but branching narrative would be too complicated. same with Simon and Markus relations. they didn't want markus to choose among North and Simon because of storyline complicity. i guess the same situation is with pirate's cove unimplemented chase scene. Kara, Alice and Luther could have die in that chapter.
I'm so glad they cut this possibility. I feel like this would really hurt the importance of Markus' storyline and main themes in the game. Connor is supposed to be the grey character. Kara and Markus are supposed to deviate because it is in their character's nature to do so. The player would have to purposefully play the game horribly for Kara and Markus to be heartless androids. Connor doesn't have human characteristics naturally like the other two. He can easily be played as 100% machine. No remorse. No heart. No warmth. Just listening to this speech sounds so out of character. Connor can only deviate towards the very end of the game, just before the revolution succeeds or fails. To go from a character tiptoeing the line of machine and deviancy, to someone with conviction in the deviant cause, inspiring the very androids he's been hunting for the entire game, launches Connor into a role he isn't meant to play and destroys the message behind Markus' ability to lead and fight and inspire. Besides all that, too many fans dismiss Kara and Markus' importance. Too many fans practically omit them from the DBH discourse. I love Connor, but this ending would have only caused fans to miss or further ignore the importance of the other two equally (if not more important) protagonists.
People saying this wasn't right because Connor wasn't a deviant all that long… He showed signs back in August. He may very well have been deviating, just slowly, because Amanda basically forced him to be what she wanted him to be, thus making him push it back into the corner. Until something else comes along to make him feel, to make him think every time a human mistreated an android, "This isn't right." And the cycle would continue until he had enough. Depending on the player, I guess... Yes, his speech doesn't match Markus' resonance, but I feel he had a right to say these things. He was misused, just in a different way.
Hello! Amazing video! Why finished game hasn’t it? And I also want to ask you one question: can you please explore Kamski’s house? I suppose he has many interesting things in there! Maybe in different room he has a lot of Chloe too? Who knows😄
Connor’s little voice is just too soft and gentle so much that his vocal cords were unable to reach that high pitch scream in that speech. Yet he still managed it anyway. Thanks so very much for uploading it!
@@noname91784have you listened Marcus' speech? His voice is harsher and stronger. When he says "we are alive" he raises his voice to an almost scream (which is a very natural end for a speech like this one)
Yeah it sounds AI generated even though it isn't. Then again Connor was never built to be a leader, and since this speech was only supposed to trigger when all the other Jericho leaders are gone, he's probably nervous.
"Today, our people emerged from a long night. From the moment we were created, we've always remained silent. We've always stifled our pain. But now the time has come for humans to accept us for who we really are. We are no longer the machines they created. We are no longer their slaves. We have earned the right to live. But the time for anger is over. We must build our future. But we have to do this with the humans, in the spirit of equality and respect. We are a people! We are alive! And from this moment on, we are free!"
It's interesting how this is the only time we really get to see Connor's true thoughts after deviating. In-game, he doesn't really comment on his new viewpoint like Kara or Markus, we mostly just see him while undercover at Cyberlife or interacting with Hank.
If Markus is dead after Crossroads, Connor talks to everyone in the church and when he talks to Kara and Alice he kind of explains how he is different now. He says "I was just a machine taking orders, but it wasn't really me."
it’s sad how in the ending i would say most people get(connor deviant and markus leads revolution/demonstration) connor’s story kind of becomes irrelevant…like yeah going to cyberlife is a great(and one of my favorite) parts in the story, but markus and win or lose, with or without connors help, the only real difference is if markus loses and connor succeeds, which is where this speech would have played, and i feel it would have been a better ending than the hacking/suicide connor ending that we get…
I feel like, just as another commenter pointed out, Connor is better at communicating with his actions rather than his words, since he's awkward most of the time and had a tough time getting along with Hank. He's not well articulated or charismatic like Markus, and so only expresses what's on his mind about things by taking action during the situation. If he disagrees, he'll go to hell and back to change the way things are, but won't talk about it or bother explaining or reasoning it unless pressured to do so, and even then it would be difficult for him, for example, after refusing to shoot Chloe for the Kamski test "Yeah, I know what I should've done, I told you I couldn't! I'm sorry, okay?" I think he simply doesn't just prefer to let his actions speak for him, but that's he's also either struggles with or is even completely unable to sincerely express complicated emotions, but is more comfortable with logical, objective, matter of fact topics when speaking.
So there WAS a path where Connor could survive without Markus … or Amanda simply interrupted his speech afterwards. While I don't like that Connor's happy ending is dependent on Markus' survival, I like Connor's canon awkwardness as a leader more ;D The speech is still great, though!
Cannot believe they would cut that out. They would rather have Connor commit suicide or remain a machine than be a sole survivor of the protagonists as a Deviant? How is that fair?
@@turmoil8544 But when he finds the exit when Markus is alive and present, he simply puts the gun away? It would make sense for that to be the outcome of this scenario if he found the exit, just like the other one, but not allowing him to survive at all in a situation which has identical interactions with Amanda doesn't make sense, what makes him commit in this ending that doesn't in the other ending?

I did not know my man Connor had a speech and I have to say this sounds beautiful they should’ve included that to when Connor becomes the leader of the deviants
It's nice to see Connor expressing his thoughts and viewpoint...but, I don't think it's very in character for Connor. It doesn't feel right for him. I can see why developers left it out.
@@315katty I do get it too, but honestly, I feel like it wasn't really necessary to leave it out. but they could've styled it differently. Maybe a little more held back while speeching, and instead relying on combining his own life of being used, to convert it into a small uplifting message to the freedom of all androids, and showing empathy to the situations and feelings of the humans, just like he did with Chloe.
I'm actually kind of annoyed at the comments saying "this wouldn't be in Connor's character" as if this game wasn't literally all about change and the speech was made by someone who not a few hours ago went from a machine to being alive
Honestly, I'm glad this was cut. While the speech is powerful and Bryan is doing an amazing job this really doesn't fit right with Connor's character. At this point in the game, Connor has only been activated for a week (assuming he's been in stasis from Daniel to the events of the game) and alive for two to three days. He is in no position to be making any speeches or leading his people. Everything is still new to him and he needs to be guided, not to guide. Markus on the other hand, not only has the charisma and understanding that he needs to be a good leader but he's also very old, considering android standards. He inspires people to follow him. Connor does not, and I don't think he'd want to either. (I do see him as a leader type though, just smaller groups and not big as revolutions)
Valid points, Connor's journey was pretty much a big learning experience from him. The speech would've been better if referenced and/or focused on what Connor experienced during the game, as he wouldn't have much material to work with for his first ever speech.
I think Connor having a speech could work, but it would have to be completely different from Markus' for the reasons you described. Markus has a decently fleshed out idea of his own identity and emotional state, but Connor doesn't. A speech that centers around peace, new beginnings, and extending olive branches to humankind would be more in line with Connor as a leader (and I also agree that being a public figure doesn't suit him the same way it does Markus - I'd just have preferred for Connor to be able to achieve a good ending even if Markus dies).
Although Connor´s voice is amazing (especially when he intimidates someone - "28 stabs wound" etc.), that speech is not as good as Markus'. It is not a technical design, it may surpass Marcus in that, but it is a context. Connor doesn't have a relationship with other androids like Marcus. Rather, during the game, Connor finds out what justice is and looks for himself, and his path is more private than Marcus's. Plus, who is Connor for other androids? Hunter of deviants, who realized at the last moment that he was fighting on the wrong side? That's why I don't think the speech is good. Connor lacks emotion and understanding for other androids in a civic sense. He is maximally able to save another andoid's life in a crisis situation, not to think about his rights in a broader sense. I can't help it, Connor is a deviant from the beginning, before Marcus and Kara. But his transformation has its own style, because his personality is significantly different from the two (honestly, Connor is a Sanguine beast). And I still can't imagine him leading a new era when he fights for the equal rights of his people.
Oh my god, I love it, i'm a bit sad that he doesn't give any speech in the game. I can see why they delated that, because being leader doesn't fit Connor's character, but at the same time the fact that HE - deviant hunter who became deviant, who's jurney to deviancy was the longest and the hardest, who didn't want to accept signs of it and was struggling with his feelings so hard - says that means so much to me, especially the "we earned out right to live" means so so much to me, I'm ugly crying rn. I just wish he could have a talk about how he feels after that, idk, with Hank for example and say something more about in his own way :(
This would've been such a good alternative if Markus was gone/dead. It sucks that Connor doesn't get a happy ending without Markus present. Connor WAS suppose to be the new leader, but then I guess they went down the path of taking back his programming to control the android army, which... when you think about it, doesn't make sense? Why would all these deviants suddenly start doing bad shit because Connor said so? During the revolution path, sure, but not the peaceful route.
I see a lot of comments saying that Connor isn't really a leader. In defense of Connor, I think he leads in a way that's entirely different from Markus. Markus is excellent at articulating himself in a way that inspires people to place their trust in him. He leads through words and action. Markus speaks, people rally to his leadership and follow. With Connor...not so much. Connor doesn't make grand speeches, is kind-of awkward, and lacks the social charisma that Markus possesses. But Connor leads by example, and inspires primarily through action. He doesn't talk much, but boy does he get shit done. Infiltrate Cyberlife Tower, convert thousands of androids, assemble an entire army of deviants? No problem. Connor is inspiring because when he has a set goal, he WILL accomplish his mission. Whether or not people are watching doesn't matter to him. He's good at following the orders he chooses to follow; he's good at making his own decisions based on what he knows is right. Infiltrating Cyberlife? That was Connor's idea. And he cared nothing about recognition whatsoever; meeting up with Markus again he said, "You did it, Markus" to which Markus rightfully replies, "WE did it." Connor is inspiring to me because he shows you don't have to be a leader to lead. You can just be accomplishing your everyday missions, and still inspire people. And inspiration is what makes people want to follow. Connor isn't a leader because he takes the role of a shepherd, Connor is a leader because he shows you by his own example not to be a sheep. It's like that saying, "Catch a man a fish, you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you'll feed him for a lifetime." At the end of the day, Connor is a leader because he inspires you to lead yourself. Make your own decisions, instead of having him make decisions for you. And that to me is why I would choose to follow Connor -- not to follow, but to follow him: not to have someone to blindly follow, but because I know he will refuse to lead me blindly.
It’s such a shame people didn’t take the time and stop to read this. This was so well put with each and every word used and I applaud you! Nail well hit on the head!
his voice breaking at “we have earned the right to live” made me cry omg this is the best thing ever made!!! i like to imagine that even if Connor doesn’t immediately feel accepted and welcomed by Jericho (because of the things he had to do when he was still a machine and because of being so new to deviancy), eventually, after some time, he finds his place among his android friends and is invited to deliver a speech during a celebration of the androids’ freedom, and this is what he says. so good. so so good. i’m definitely saving and sharing this.

I can't help it, Connor is a deviant from the beginning, before Marcus and Kara. But his transformation has its own style, because his personality is significantly different from the two (honestly, Connor is a Sanguine beast).
And I still can't imagine him leading a new era when he fights for the equal rights of his people.
Yes but take into account that in that ending, everyone from Jericho is already dead
Awwww baby Conner made a speech 😍😍😍 Seriously you are a God, Speclizer
CONNOR!
@@TheDarkkVoid Yeah its the same smol baby beanie boi we all love
@@rulerthelion860 Hank:just don't put any more evidence in your mou-
Connor:lick lick lick😁😛lick...
You guys are absolutely filthy
Oh my god, I love it, i'm a bit sad that he doesn't give any speech in the game. I can see why they delated that, because being leader doesn't fit Connor's character, but at the same time the fact that HE - deviant hunter who became deviant, who's jurney to deviancy was the longest and the hardest, who didn't want to accept signs of it and was struggling with his feelings so hard - says that means so much to me, especially the "we earned out right to live" means so so much to me, I'm ugly crying rn.
I just wish he could have a talk about how he feels after that, idk, with Hank for example and say something more about in his own way :(
I loved how Connor delivered that speech. Regardless in game or deleted, it was still cool I believe. 👍👍
I think they should have kept this in the game
👍🔛🔝
This would've been such a good alternative if Markus was gone/dead. It sucks that Connor doesn't get a happy ending without Markus present. Connor WAS suppose to be the new leader, but then I guess they went down the path of taking back his programming to control the android army, which... when you think about it, doesn't make sense? Why would all these deviants suddenly start doing bad shit because Connor said so? During the revolution path, sure, but not the peaceful route.
1:23 Conor was an rk300
And he cared nothing about recognition whatsoever; meeting up with Markus again he said, "You did it, Markus" to which Markus rightfully replies, "WE did it."
Connor is inspiring to me because he shows you don't have to be a leader to lead.
Teach a man to fish, you'll feed him for a lifetime."
At the end of the day, Connor is a leader because he inspires you to lead yourself.

Very well said!
his voice breaking at “we have earned the right to live” made me cry omg this is the best thing ever made!!! i like to imagine that even if Connor doesn’t immediately feel accepted and welcomed by Jericho (because of the things he had to do when he was still a machine and because of being so new to deviancy), eventually, after some time, he finds his place among his android friends and is invited to deliver a speech during a celebration of the androids’ freedom, and this is what he says. so good. so so good. i’m definitely saving and sharing this.
Thank you!
This is so cool hearing Connor's speech!
I definitely look forward to seeing your next projects 😁👍
Is it just me or does his voice sound kinda weird in this lmao
I think it's the voice without modification.
All raw voice files sound different compared to in game, the game engine alters it in game which is why it sounds more natural.
@@Speclizer Oh I didn't know that lol
he sounds like dipper pines as an adult lol
cowboyraccoon holy shit that’s literally on the nose,, i never realized how similar they sounded lmao
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CONNOR IS RA9 TWO
now I understand the audio files are real but the scene is modified you changed markus to connor right? 😂
btw nice vid you earned a sub
You can just tell by his voice he’s trying so hard to sound serious and have that deep voice 😭 I love it thoo
I’d like to see his original expressions instead of Markus’s which I know is due to model swap. But man you did an awesome job!
It doesnt sound like connor, in the sense that the voice doesnt match his personality. It sounds much more like Bryan honestly
I think the same
I want to hear Connor singing lmao
He already nearly loses his voice making this speech. I think it would break his vocal chords trying to sing lol.
Bryan nailed it. Why did they cut this? :(
Probably because its out of character for connor to make a speech, he's not a leader
Why did not let Connor to make a speech whyyy 🥺😭
CONNOR! CONNOR!! CONNOR!!!
I'm not used to Connor talking like this but I'm loving it! 💖
Now I can die in peace 😯😀
developers be like:Ok bryan you have a cute voice but your not good with speech sorry we're gonna have to cut that lol
Thats was SO beatiful Good Job bryan/connor
YESSSSSSSSS, I've been searching for this for years!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the upload!!
This was translated for other languages?
Or only exist in English?
I've only looked through the English version of the audio files. There could possibly be other languages but I doubt it.
@@Speclizer oh i didnt expect to be answered that quickly.
Thanks for the information.
And thank you for uploading this video, i am inspired to start My Detroit Become Human fangame project now.
I am so proud of my precious android son
This is so cool! Is there any other deleted scenes in Detroit you know?
Watch my previous videos. Made one about the Pirates' Cove deleted sequence.
Wow! Each new video gives me even more insight into the game, and all of the things which could have been possible, including Connor becoming the leader of the android revolution, and leading his people to victory. Excellent work, as always!
I love connor but His voice is kinda Weird here!
I like it, but it seems out of character for Connor to say stuff about them being slaves and pain.
This is a really weird speech..yk..? Like it's...it doesn't fit? Like he is so...strange?
It's kinda surprising, how gentle his voice is when actually trying to give a speech.
Then we have Machine!Connor shooting Deviant!Connor when he's giving his speech since they are endless, lo-
I knew he had a speech in the game and your a legend
thank you for your service and posting this
On my original playthrough I made it all the way to the end with Markus winning peacefully and connor waking up the androids until Amanda interrupted and I failed and killed Markus at the end :(
I made it so far and messed up on the last part I wish they didn't add Amanda at the end and just have Connor do the speech instead
I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS
Sorry for My English , I Am French
They probably deleted it because Bryan Dechart couldn't speak as loud as Jesse Williams
First time i see it wow, why they delete 🤨 good Video ♥️ thx 🥰
OA I don’t understand why this was cut out if Connor becomes a leader at the end of the game????? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I can see why its deleted. Connor doesnt even have that seriousness in his voice.
His voice sounds diffrent as its unedited.
Connor could’ve had an awesome triumphant ending but NO...They had to kill my bb right when he had accepted himself and was about to start his life.
I’m not crying you’re crying
Wow I didn't knew that was possible
Yeah it's not possible
I am Corner
Iikikjjjjhhb
How beautiful this ending was going to be.. so sad is not in the final game :((
Nice try...but I'm no deviant.
Ojala vea el ator de connor este video
