She's married to Greg Wise (he played the character of John Willoughby in Sense&Sensibility of which she wrote the screenplay and played Elinor Dashwood) and is divorced from Keneth Branagh. Emma is missing the point.
The title song even tells us how "bittersweet and strange, finding you can change, finding you were wrong" applies to both characters.
Belle's personal journey was to recognise a kindred spirit in Beast (isolated from the outside world yet longing to be accepted) instead of shutting him out. Belle had to adapt to new changes (the castle, staff, the Beast) from her earlier plans for "adventure in the great wide somewhere".
This is where the animated story shines, as we see Belle's maturity grow within the story's timeline.
Tafami Right! Both are dynamic characters. If Belle were static she would never have recognized the Beast's true beauty from within or come to understand why the Beast is the way that he is. And on top of that she would have left the castle and never came back.
Tafami I feel like Belle discovers beauty is actually inside and that people are not always who they seems to be. For example the beast is more represented by his castle which is very big and full of culture ( Cf:the huge bookselve he gives Belle) wether than in his physical appearence because he is not really a monster while belle doesn't actually change her personnality nonetheless she had learnt a great lesson thtoughout her adventures with the beast which is the morale of the tale, that physical appareances do not define who you really are. Do you agree?

Sarah Hassan any real fan wouldn't assume that either her or Ron were Harry's sidekick. They're a team, and it's about Harry's life. It isn't Harry and Ron being Hemionie's sidekick either. Or Harry and Hermionie being Rons sidekick, or any other scenario you come up with. It is the way it is, weather you're trying to find ways to make women way better than men like as though it were a check in the box. Y'all doing this is only creating more segregation and making the wall of inequality stronger. Rather than making it disappear. Stop making everything a competition, like oh this persons a girl, she's so much better than any man, or oh this persons a man he's so much better than any woman. Take a step back, look at what you want to accomplish, and realize what you're actually doing. Which is not, from what I can see, going to get what you want but actually do the opposite.

She also forgives the Beast.

I thought the movie was mesmerizing. Coming from someone whose childhood was composed of Disney movies and early Nickelodeon...I was completely entranced.
The cast was perfect. And Emma is an incredible Belle.

I think Belle does do a bit of transforming. Upon their first meeting, Belle is scared at the sight of the Beast. She and the Beast aren't friends until they save each other in the forest, and she begins to see there's more to him. I guess I would've thought that Emma after being such an avid fan of the movie and of Belle would've picked up on that a little bit. Nothing about Belle's core really changes but the way she relates to and accepts the Beast is definitely a transformation.
Julia Egan I totally agree, if Belle didn't change as in grow wiser and understanding, then she would have never been able to allow herself to see the beauty within the beast and she would have come off as judgmental and such. In a way, Belle AND the beast both grow and change. Belle initially thought people cannot change....well she got to see for herself that folks can change for the better. The Beast learns to be kind and compassionate while Belle learns to be more understanding and less judgmental of folks in other words....get to know people hence the message: true beauty lies from within.

By watching the movie, we've just realized how much we are missing Hermione and the whole Harry Potter series! I believe that she, both cute and remarkably intelligent, was everybody's favorite character in the books as well as in the movies (for the huge part thanks to Emma Watson). And what's even more amazing, Emma is that, plus much more, in real life, too.

Beast Charming you obviously don't know the true meaning of feminism and what it stands for and im pretty belle would be considered as a proto-feminist since she is enthusiastic about education and empowering herself through education and she doesn't want to rely on marriage (and gaston) to define her role as a woman so im pretty sure that yes, belle could consider herself a feminist and there's no correlation between feminism and being a good woman, in fact I think being a feminist makes you an even BETTER woman
I just watched it and it was one of the best live adaptations I've ever seen. I made sure not to get my hopes up or expect more than what could be given, but it exceeded my expectations by far. The time and effort the actors and directors took to this film is shown throughout the whole movie. I loved every bit of it and I'm so glad I watched it.
Others may not agree with me but I CANT wait to see it I think Emma Watson will do a great job as Bell and from what I seen those who play the other the other rolls will do a great job too.
2 things struck me as major negative comments. One towards Emma Watson's character Hermione, in which the interviewer says that Hermione was Harry's sidekick. WRONG!! She was his best friend. They basically grew up together throughout each movie. Ron, Harry, and Hermione all looked after each other, as best friends do. Another negative comment that really got to me as a Disney fan was when the interviewer, at the beginning, called Beauty and the Beast "Old-Fashioned". That is rude and not true. No matter how old you are, Beauty and the Beast will always be a classic. It inspires all ages.
Happy Birthday to Emma Watson. she's 27 years old today I love her as Belle in Beauty and the Beast movie. and also today is Luke Evans Birthday he's 38 years old. he's great as Gaston in the movie. I wish to meet the actors someday.

I think the new beauty and the beast song is good but that NEW song by Celine Dion on the soundtrack is way better!!!!! That should be the song they promote with this movie version.

Emma rocked this! She was Belle! She is so dashing and so divine! This movie is #17 in all time box office gross! This tale as old as time will be around for eternity! I didn’t think a live action film could do the 1991 Animation Classic any justice but I was wrong. This cast got it so right on so many levels. I own both of them in 3D Blu-Ray and omg I highly recommend getting both on 3D! The 91 version wasn’t released in 3D but they went back & OMG it’s truly even more magically in 3D!

I just saw it yesterday and this is just making me want to go back and watch it again now haha! It was seriously incredible. Coming from a girl who's favourite Disney movie as a child was Beauty and the Beast. I don't think it can ever top that for me because it's my childhood but it came damn close. I think other remakes they've done (Cinderella, Jungle Book) were really good too but this was just next level. There were people sobbing around me lol.
This is an incredible movie! My wife and I saw it for the 2nd time this evening. It is beautiful and the songs especially Evermore is so passionate. It deserve and Oscar. The movie deserve multiple Oscars!
I wish they would do a live-action of Anastasia as well. That was another favourite animated movie of mine as a child. Julie Andrews would make a great grandmother!

Is there a video of the full interview instead of just some quotes and then movie clips... I don't mean to sound like I am whinning but I really want to hear more of what the cast had to say and feel about filming this movie. I have seen it twice already and I really want to know a lot more of the process of making the movie. ESPECIALLY the fact that Dan Stevens filled all his Beast roles with Emma, so she wasn't looking at some dots, she was staring at him. There is so much they have said and yet we get a little. I want to know more.

I am so unbelievably lucky to have grown up in the perfect time period to have Emma Watson be my role model. She is a strong empowering woman who has inspired me from a young age both on and off the screen. This is the one actress that I feel as if I had grown and relied on and she is also a very gorgeous woman.

Audra McDonald, Emma Thompson, and Emma Watson were all so important to me in my childhood. Audra was Grace in the 1999 version of Annie along with many many other amazing people, When she brought Grace to life she sparked my love of music and musicals. Emma Thompson was Nanny McPhee and so many other amazing characters, And Emma Watson, not only is she an amazing activist and feminist but she empowered generations of young girls with her strong role as Hermione. Now, she empowers so many young girls as Belle....
I hope that if I am so lucky, I could meet at least one of these amazing women....
