I honestly really enjoy watching this level of play. It feels relatable still as a low elo player, but gives me a lot more to learn from without feeling overwhelmed like I do watching top players.
I think LEL can the more fun focused one and MEM more focused on improvement so they both have a unique identity.

@@spades952no it isn't but the base game isn't very expensive, if you buy the full pack with every dlc it will be expensive! Buy the game and get the rest after if you really start playing a lot

I disagree with your assertion that low-elo players don't have a plan.
They absolutely have a plan, but that plan is related to things like building a nice city, or segregating their male and female villagers, rather than trying to win the game.

hey T90, definitely approve of the mid elo maniacs idea. I think a lot of the problem with RTS tends to be that the average player only sees super high elo play and thinks they gotta be that good to play, but the LEL series has shown people that even the scrubbiest scrubs can have fun. When you're in the mid elo range you might be thinking about how to improve, how to break into the pro scene, how to get off the plateau, etc. This series could leverage some players and give them a spotlight so that they can find their way forward. Just a thought. Maybe one not grounded in reality. lol
To tack something else on, I think a lot of your viewers might be around mid elo range too, so this gives a lot of opportunities for people watching to realize "hey wait a second I do that" and take notes.
I like the one suggestion chat made, "Mid Elo Heroes" because it shortens to "MEH" which is fairly accurate to how skilled the players are, 'meh' not bad, just 'meh'

the castle drop gets me every time. My game plan goes off the rails every time I get castle dropped. Sure, I can build rams, but I have trouble protecting them. And it ends up being such a drain on my eco and a distraction from eco that the game is over not long after.

As an 1100 ELO, it feels like I generally have a build order that's pretty good (execution sometimes is bad) and know unit strengths/counters. But the game just seems way too fast to keep up with everything, so if I'm trying to quickwall in one place, I'm forgetting to task/create vils elsewhere and screwing something else up. Sometimes decision making in the moment is poor because of this and I miss obvious things that would change the game. Also, worker efficiency is probably not great (building good farms, rebuilding lumber camps, etc.)
Yeah MEM! I am very mem atm so it's cool to watch this. I feel like I can take more away from this than both the low and high elo games

MEM or mid Elo madness is clearly the best choice.
As a 1050-1100 elo, I can say that the worst thing of this level is that this is an extremely hetherogeneous ELO level, in the sense that there are so many beginners, true mid-elo and smurfs that you can play a game and win easily or face someone making quickwalls (much quicker than what you can see in this game), trapping boars and all. These two look like to be genuine 1100 ELO, though.

Wtf was blue doing? Why did he need to gather 4000 gold for no reason? Why didn't he place his second castle next to his first as he was going up to Imp, so he could produce double treb immediately? Why didn't he use his injured scouts/camels to scout around his base instead of panic stonewalling into fog of war? And why did he stonewall instead of wood wall which goes up faster if he was scared of getting raided imminently?
